Pasta was good but the pizza was mid. The staff was very welcoming but increased the tip on the paying machine without us noticing (could be a mistake). The atmosphere on the outside terrace, on those big tables was very pleasant however.

I had an amazing meal at Giovanni! The lasagna was perfect, rich, flavorful, and just like homemade. Great ambiance and good service. Highly recommend!

First time ate there, ... absolute hit. Very nice pasta, fresh vegetables and fish. The Manager himself enjoys to take time and chat to the customers. The staff is quick and friendly, but don't expect them to stop by and ask how the food is. This is a proper italian style restaurant. It is an absolute must visit, highly recommended!

Simply amazing and delicious. Even visiting them nearly closing time, they’re still serving - in this case - pizzas and pasta meals. The food is very tasteful and fresh, as you can see them preparing it.
Staff is very friendly and willing to help, as they gave us a free little meal to begin with (mozzarella dip with bread). And a free drink at the end. Simply excellent.

PS: they only accept cash.

Probably one of the tastiest Italian meals I've had outside of Italy. The atmosphere was calm and it's a great place for dates or just to be able to have a conversation with not much noise, yet a special ambiance of a restaurant. If you sit in the back, you can look into the kitchen and see the Chef make your meals.

Prices were overall what you would expect from an Italian restaurant in Hamburg and the food was just worth every penny.
If you like truffle, I can't recommend their truffle pasta enough.

The portions were amazing! If you like to eat and enjoy good food (and a lot of it), this is your spot. We did wate a while to get our food, but we were a big group and it was busy. I will definitely be back again whenever I'm in Hamburg.

P.S. I believe it was cash only so that's just something to keep in mind!
