The Crofton

Went here last night for a meal out with my son and his mother, I ordered the burger which was £14 and it was awful. It was well over cooked, dry and tasted as if it had been grilled in some sort of vinegar. It was an extra £1.50 for 1 slice of anaemic bacon, the salad came on the side rather than on the burger, there was no sauce on the burger. Just not a great experience I took one bite and asked for a refund.The saving grace was that the front of house staff handled it very well and refunded me without question. I won’t be going here again.

Great Sunday roast. Both had the lamb. Roast potatoes were crispy. Everything hot. Extra gravy. Absolutely delicious sticky toffee pudding and summer fruit with custard( extra custard given on request) superb!

Absolutely amazing! We had had our wedding reception at the Crofton at the start of August and it was fantastic! Mel and her team ensured everything went smoothly and she went above and beyond during the planning, set up and evening, it was perfect! Mel was super helpful in planning the running of things and ensured everything wet to plan. Everyone worked so hard on the evening to ensure everyone was happy, fed and watered (the food was also very good and very reasonable, the vegetarian selection was brilliant) thank you so much for helping us make our wedding reception so wonderful, we could have asked for more! 💕💕💕

Lovely pub . I haven't been here for around 12 years or more . The food was good , very tasty . Lots to choose from . Polite , friendly staff . Good lots of seating area . We will definitely go back again.

I am leaving this review as the mother of the bride, my daughter’s reception was held at the Crofton. The communication with Mel has been outstanding. On the actual day of the wedding I could not fault Mel and her team, they set up the room exactly as they had been briefed. The food and timings of the evening were excellent and run with precision. No guest had to queue and wait to be served for drinks, this was on account of there being plenty of staff on duty. I would highly recommend the Crofton for any celebration.

Lovely presented meals.. had liver as a treat but not to my taste. Every thing else was really enjoyable and husbands burger. Staff really nice especially bar lady (didn't get her name) Thanku Croften ☺️

Plenty of parking and a great menu with food midday until 9pm at night!

Had the pie of the day which was lovely and full of flavour.
