This museum, while very different from the rest of the museums in the area, was still worth coming to see.
I was expecting it to be more packed when I came here but it was not. In fact, I was the only person in there for a brief period of time. After paying for my entry, I was directed to walk up several flights of steps in order to see the exhibits.
As I got to the floor with all the action, one of the workers checked my ticket then proceeded to tell me that I am not allowed to take any photos inside the main rooms, which there are about 8 of them. This was upsetting because in these rooms is where they have most of the torture devices on display. I don’t know why they have this rule in place but I can’t imagine it is popular.
Either way, it was still interesting to see and read about these devices and their uses. They have a plaque in front of each device telling you when and how it was used, in both English and Spanish. A nice touch as I was tired of reading Spanish in the other museums in the city center.
If you don’t mind reading then you will be in here for about an hour. But if you only want to come in and look at the instruments of torture, then you will be in and out in ten minutes flat, because there is not much else to do.

A fun little stop off to visit. The exhibits were well kept and had Spanish/English descriptions. Maybe 30 minutes to see it all. No pictures allowed. And it does have air conditioning.

Lots of stairs

they dont allow to take pictures.
the info about the devices is great.
