Our tour with Tracey was fantastic be couldn't have been any more confidante and accommodating. He was a pleasure. Great tour and talk!
Our cruise liaison arranged this tour because it was the only one on the island that was handicapped-accommodating. Tracey was our driver/guide and was absolutely incredible. He made sure my family was taken care re my wife’s disability, taught us everything we needed to learn about TCI, and was so proud to tell the islands’ story. Definitely recommend.
Papa J is so friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He seems to know every building and person on this beautiful island. 10/10 would tour with him again!!
We came to Grand Turks via the Carnival Freedom in November 2024. We missed the sign up for the tours via Carnival and decided to wing it. We got off at the stop in the shopping area there were a number of tour buses setup selling tickets. We checked out a few and decided on Papa J's. It was an excellent choice.
We did a tour of the island with a stop in a shopping area for about 45 minutes, Then continued on the tour of the island with a stop for 2 hours at a private beach. Private beach included our own chairs and umbrella as well as lunch and a drink.
Tracey was an amazing tour guide who shared a lot of great information about the islands. He was very knowledgeable and also had a few jokes! And he stopped at the Grand Turk sign so we could all get pictures.
The beach area was amazing with no rocks at all. It was very sandy with a quick drop off that brought you to about 4 ft deep water. Could not have asked for a better day!

Starting from when we met the gentleman at the tour stand until Mama J dropped us back off was an amazing experience!!! So glad we chose to go on this excursion. Everyone was very nice, chill, and welcoming.
My family and I had an amazing tour with Papa J's while on our cruise visiting the Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos. Jaydon was an AWESOME tour guide, he was so helpful with my mom's personal mobility wheelchair. Jaydon did an excellent job educating us on the island's history. We had photo opportunities, stopped at the Turks & Caicos Museum, shopping, lunch, drinks and the amazing Governor's Beach which included umbrellas and beach chairs. We were treated very well!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
My parents and I took an island tour with Dwight and it was exceptional! At first we were a bit hesitant since we've never done a tour that wasn't directly through carnival but Dwight made us feel incredibly welcome and safe throughout the entire tour. We were lucky to have the majority of the tour be just us and Dwight and it made it feel a lot more personal, he shared a remarkable amount of knowledge with us about the island, it's people and it's history.
The tour itself was cheaper than the ones offered by Carnival directly for the island and not only did it feel like a better value than previous tours we have done at other islands, it was easily one of our favourite tours overall, largely due to Dwight!
I can't speak to every service provided by Papa J Tours, but the Island Tour with Dwight was phenomenal and I would easily recommend this to anyone looking to see all the major landmarks of the island, as well as gain a deeper understanding about the island's history and it's people.
