Great views and a place for swinming.
It’s a very lovely pool , but they got to start on time. Got here at 10am, I’ve been waiting for 50 mins for the staff to set up and still can’t get into the water. I only have an hour to swim, and I don’t have all day to wait. Public service should be more reliable.
Lovely pool and deck for sun bathing Very Large deck with access to the sea. Pool is a good size with an additional children’s pool close by. There is also a bar/ restaurant. Cost for 2 was 14e including lounger chairs - a good price compared to other places we know. The company has four other locations.
Dont even waste time going to other places like Calheta dirty beach!

Price was about €16 for 2 beds with umbrella for the entire day. I would say a reasons price.
We went here twice, we had a good time suntanning, swimming and relaxing.
It was really busy, but since we had paid for our beds we had our own spot and it didn’t bother us.

Complexo Balnear Ponta Gorda is a lovely seaside complex in Funchal with two seawater swimming pools and a natural pool carved into the rocky coastline. The views of the ocean and Cabo Girão cliff are breathtaking, and there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available for visitors. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with showers and changing rooms nearby. The natural pool is a unique feature, and swimming in it feels like a truly natural experience. Overall, it's a great place to relax and soak up the sun while enjoying the beauty of Madeira's coastline.
🇬🇧 November 2022: €12.80 for 2 adult entry, 2 sunbed rentals & parasol for the time you are there. Large area for sunbathing. Attendant will attach your receipts to the equipment so they don't have to bother you again. Access to the sea from steps and other sea pools. Toilets, changing rooms, individual showers on site. There is also a snack bar available. Opening times are 09:30 to 17:30. Lifeguards are on standby, but you'll need to be careful with little ones as drops out directly into the sea.
