Love the tacos here. Man, the salsa is spicy and I like spicy! Open late night, definitely a place to hit up if you are in the area for a bite. Classic spot. The cabeza tacos are my favorite.

Crunchy and interesting menu. Good pricing. Got myself a birria sopas which is good and shared a horchata which is alrighty, not so bueno.

After a night out, we came here to try them out. The tacos were blow average. I ordered one pastor, chicken, and carnitas. Only the carnitas was warm. I took one bite of the pastor and chicken and that was enough to let me know I was going to get an upset stomach.

If you like authentic Mexican cuisine and don’t mind getting out of your comfort zone, go to this place. Every time I want a good taco or burrito, this place hit my spot! My hidden gems in SD. They serves til 3am lol

3.5 rounded down. This was unfortunately a theme with the places we tried in SD, but seemed a little overhyped? Maybe it’s because we came when it wasn’t busy, but the food didn’t seem that fresh, and the taste was good but not mindblowingly so by any means. Fish tacos were just ok - not a huge fan of the sour watery (tartar? mayo?) sauce. The carne asada tasted fine but a bit bland, the pastor was slightly crunchy and the best of the 3 but I’ve had better elsewhere. Meat portions were generous and service was friendly at least.

Using a credit card adds a surcharge so bring cash. Toilets were not very clean.

Ordered the menudo, very large portion, flavorful but could be more spicy for my taste.

Lengua tacos were delicious. My friend ordered the carne asada and enjoyed it a lot. Greta quality meats at an affordable price.

Despite the initial impression of neglect, with faded signage and worn paint, the food here is nothing short of delicious!

I was staying downtown for a conference and for those willing to venture off the beaten path, go for it!
