The most peaceful place in New York. It's hard to find a quiet place here in this massive city, so I was quietly surprised when I found this place after wandering around the World Trace Centre area. The area has a nice, relaxing vibe to it with plenty of trees and bushes accompanied by lots of seating; perfect for sitting out and reading or drawing and catching a break from the busyness for a while

Simply put, locals and tourists alike will always have a need to rest and take in the great urban atmosphere. Liberty Park offers such a respite. Never forget, public spaces can be a great escape from the doldrums of rapid growth and expansion of real estate. Such a rush to build ivory towers that will stay empty in this post-Pandemic economy. Working folks hiding behind digital domains. Be it good weather or bad, having a quick lunch or a long chat with friends, Liberty Park is a great place to do it all.

It's absolutely stunning!!! Honoring what was before and surrounded by what is new. It's very hard to get it all in, so please visit when you have time.

Take the time to read the description of all you see. Everything has meaning here.

Liberty Park is so lovely, this park is a must-see when you visit Lower Manhattan! This space houses the iconic Koenig Sphere and the De Oppresso Liber (the latter of which is pictured here). Standing within Liberty Park, you’ll also experience amazing views from this park’s raised platform, particularly of the 9/11 Memorial fountains and the skyscrapers surrounding the park, including One World Trade Center + the Oculus Center.

Come sit and resonate on the tragedy of evil humans and remember the brave souls that gave their all for the freedom we now enjoy.
Its a great place to come and ponder on how as a country we progressed and digressed.
A trip to NYC is incomplete without a visit here.

We visited here in December 2021. The views of the statue, Jersey and NYC are amazing! Beautiful sunset over the water. Park was clean, people were at the playground. There was even a family barbecuing there. Had a great time. Place was clean too! Traffic getting to and from our hotel in Long Island....well, that's another story!

Love what they have done with the new World Trade Center complex with this lovely park and the Anne Frank tree they planted on her birthday in 2017 and the sphere that stood between the original Twin Towers in Austin Tobin Plaza. Almost 20 years after the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001, they have done an incredible job rebuilding the space. And the new building for St. Nicolas church when completed I’m sure will be amazing
