A huge museum that exhibits earth formation to human evolution. The explanation for the exhibition is rather detailed. I personally spent 2+ hours just on the exhibition on 1st floor.
On 2nd floor there is a cafe and another exhibition which I did not explore.
You can easily spend half a day there to explore the entire museum.
I visited the museum on weekday and there are a lot of visitors, mainly students.
If you carry a bulky bag, you can store it in a locker but prepare a 50 cents or eur1 coin.

Housed in an opulent neo-Renaissance building, Vienna's Natural History Museum is home to over 30 million objects, showcasing the world's rich tapestry of biodiversity, evolution, and Earth's history. With exhibits ranging from prehistoric fossils and dazzling minerals to the extensive anthropological collection, it offers a comprehensive journey through time. Tips: Allocate at least two hours to fully appreciate the museum.

Impressive building unfortunately with partly covered areas due to construction/renovations, completely surrounded by construction trucks and equipment. The is a cute bronze sculpture of an elephant donated by local artist in front of the building. We did not go in.

Building itself was quite stunning. There was a very large collection of stones, meteorites etc. and quite a lot information about animals (especially birds) and humans. I would of appreciated if there would of been more about prehistoric times (mostly dinosaurs).
