After several attempts for the pass six months using the chain of commands, the superintendent nor her office never reached out to inquire if my issues or concerns were addressed or resolved. This current administration should be replaced. They sit in their ivory tower away from the community. Try making appointments with the superintendent. Non preforming. Ms KAMI needs to be replaced.
Parents of Baldwin Middle School, discipline is very good. But at this school there is discrepancies and discrimination in the process. The purpose of disciplinary action is not only for consequences as a result of their actions. Why are children being sent home for five days for saying a bad word , why aren’t they given in-house suspensions. Why according to my knowledge, suspension given for idle words were treated with, “out of the school” suspension? Why were these students treated with maximum punishment. Is the school acquiring better results from this positioning? In fact the school seem to be more out of control with the abuse of it. My question why does this school feel the need to extend and predetermine maximum punishment for children with out approaching other methods of chastisement. It like whopping a child so much it becomes non-effective. How effective is the current rate of suspension taking place at this school. Has there been enough communication and effective attempts be made to assist these children before giving the the maximum punishment? Have there been any attempts by the school after the children was given maximum punishment to see how well the children were being transformed by the use of these methods? Most parents love a good school district, this school is riding on past glory. The school have lost its effectiveness in discipline due the abuse of suspension and their approach. Does superintendent objectively look at the things for herself or is one who just accepts the current way things are be administered by current administrator at the school. I guess suspension is easier than trying to create a community which helps these children make better choices.
