Cowshed Liverpool

We loved the rustic ambiance. The food was amazing! I opted for the steak from their special menu and was pleased I did as it was lovely. Best steak I've had so far. My husband had the ribeye steak which he enjoyed as well. I also loved the long island iced tea which they were happy to serve when I asked for it as it was not on their menu. thank you and we'll definitely come back again!

I really expected amazing things from here but in my opinion, nothing special.

Had the Rib eye, medium - which was slightly overcooked.

£19 for 8oz then have to buy fries/accompaniments etc. Fries are £3.50 & sauces are £2.75.

Happy to tick this place of the list but probably won’t return.

I went to Churasco a few months ago and that is far better. Better service, food and a whole better experience.

Myself and my boyfriend have been visiting cowshed since 2021. It is the only restaurant we have ever been to that has never ever disappointed us in terms of both flavour and quality. Every dish we have ate has been a winner.

To start with we got the three cheese truffle and garlic bread with chilli, red onion and tomato salsa. This starter is comprised of simple flavours executed perfectly. The salsa is perfect. Everything about it is truly delicious, I could eat it every single day. We also opted for the croquette special, as we always do. Each croquette special we have ate, we have loved. This time it was Serrano ham with a smoked paprika, garlic and maple aioli. These were packed with so much flavour I savoured every last bite.

The fillet steak as always, was cooked/ seasoned to perfection. The peppercorn sauce is the best we have tasted ever and never fails. Trust me when I say, no peppercorn sauce will ever beat Cowshed’s pepper sauce. Yum.

As for our dessert, we had the cheesecake special which was Eton mess. It was, yes you guessed it, perfect. The food, service, decor and music is just exquisite. Unlike any other restaurant in Liverpool. To summarise, If I were on death row, this would be my final meal and I would die happy! For anyone who hasn’t been, you’re seriously missing out.

Me and my boyfriend went here on a whim when the restaurant we planned to go to was fully booked. We called the Cowshed up and they had space and it turned out to be the best meal of our lives. I had the special pasta with fillet steak and my boyfriend had the fillet steak with a creamy diane sauce with garlic mushrooms and a side of fries. The food was so delicious and tasty, although very pricey it was the greatest meal I had. If only we didn’t live so far away i’d spend all my money here!

It’s been a while since I walked out of a restaurant fully satisfied with everything. We had gotten the greedy cow for 3, rare. Absolutely divine! Meat juicy and tender, favourite had to be the ribeye which was so succulent. Sides of chorizo and greens, carrots, were delicious. Staff were attentive and kind, checking up on us but without being overbearing. Atmosphere is intimate and just so lovely. Can’t wait to come back!
