It was a very bad experience, The seller is cheating the people, expired and low quality dates are selling to the pilgrims.
I saw it when I came back to my country.
Very very very bad experience.

Don’t buy any Dates from this place . These people cheats the tourist. They will mix the Ajwa dates with rotten and dry one.
I got cheated when I opened the packet and found they have not given the Dates which we have seen . They change the packet or mix the dry rotten from there side .
Don’t buy it from here.
My visit to the Dates Market in Madinah was a vibrant and aromatic adventure that left me both satisfied and slightly disappointed. I would give it a four-star rating due to the issue of overpricing.

Walking through the bustling market, I was immediately greeted by the enticing fragrance of fresh dates. The colorful stalls lined with a rich variety of dates from all over the region were a feast for the eyes. From succulent Ajwa to delectable Safawi, each type of date had its own unique taste and texture, providing a delightful abundance of flavors.

The vendors at the market were generally friendly and eager to assist, offering samples and explaining the characteristics of their dates. Their passion for their produce was evident, and it added to the overall charm of the experience. The lively atmosphere and the enthusiasm of the visitors, both locals and tourists, created an energetic buzz that was infectious.

However, the downside to the Dates Market was the issue of overpricing. While I understand that the market relies on tourism, I found that some vendors were taking advantage of the demand, inflating prices beyond reason. This left me with a sense of disappointment as I had expected a more fair and affordable shopping experience. Bargaining was possible, but there was still a marked discrepancy between the quality and the prices.

Despite this setback, the Dates Market remains a must-visit destination for all date lovers. The sheer variety and freshness of the dates available make it a paradise for taste enthusiasts. The opportunity to sample and indulge in the different flavors and textures of dates is an experience that should not be missed.

In conclusion, my visit to the Dates Market in Madinah was a flavorsome and lively expedition, earning a four-star rating. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly vendors, and exquisite selection of dates made it an enjoyable experience. However, the issue of overpricing did mar the overall impression. I would advise visitors to exercise caution and ensure they negotiate fair prices when purchasing dates at the market.

The people there are cheaters, I bought 5kg ajwa dates @40 riyals/kg, the sample they showed are big about 1.5inch long and thick but they give me mix size and majority of them are small which they sold at the rate of 20 riyals. So don’t buy from that market and don’t trust on their word and appearance.

Better to visit it only, and buy near the Masjid i Nabvi, most of the dates here are old and upper layer is fresh but bottoms are older and rotten dates, not recommended

It is not a date market. Individuals coming in Madinah for ziarat should not probe this place for cheap dates. This is basically a resort for recreational purpose of locals. Swings for kids, a small bird zoo & eatables are available here for viaitors. Entry fee may be charged.
