This is a tiny little cafe, that also sells cheese. They need to take the words visitor centre off their signage. I'm sure the artisan cheese is lovely, but the space is not !

Well ! We were walking from Dinnet to the Canbus O’May bridge when a local man advised us to walk a mile further for a cheese toasty ! We had food with us but thought “why not”. When you spend your money on food and drink sometimes you can be disappointed but trust me not in here. Very polite and friendly team.
The cheese toasty’s were absolutely loverly and well worth the money so much flavour and to top it all the coffee was really really nice. In fact after a really nice Toasty I was thinking I hope this coffee is nice and it really did compliment the cheese Toasty !
The shop and cafe are great and the inside space is very welcoming and there is plenty of seating outside some heated under cover and some out in the sunshine ( if the suns out) clean toilets. Would definitely recommend a visit and a Toasty and coffee. We brought some cheese for home as well. Not sure if dogs are allowed inside as we did not ask and sat outside, but plenty of dog bowls about for water. Loverly experience.

Stopped here today while out cycling. Enjoyed a nice double espresso and a chilled sparkling water outdoors. Friendly service. Perfect 👌

Been here a couple of times now. First visit in November '22 was excellent. I went with my elderly parents, their dog and my youngest daughter. We sat outside but were plenty warm under the heaters installed there. Quite a few people inside, but I don't remember service being slow. Food was good, although portions are not enormous...a light lunch.

Our second visit was in early July '23. Myself, my wife and our two children. The place was well subscribed, although most folk were outside as it was a pleasant day. I suspect the place was short staffed that day also as service was rather chaotic and much of the menu was.... well... off the menu. Again, food was alright. My daughter's soup was cold enough to mean I'd have asked for it to be rewarmed if she hadn't insisted it was fine as it was. Tasty soup though. I also swear we ended up with a mix up over toasties with another order - but who knows? It was that kind of day.

So a balanced score card. Definitely not a truly bad place and the staff are very pleasant. Worth a go if you are passing but I'd maybe not head that way just to visit.

The cheese *does* have an excellent local reputation also

Small Cafe and cheese makers. around noon place is pack. Lunch rush look like they have a hard time cleaning tables. Staff very friendly. The toasties (Hot sandwich) are pre-made and refrigerated the toasted upon order. However, dont let this discourage you, the food is great. The order consisted of Auld Reekie & Venison, CombusO'may &Haggis, 5 cheese and Ploughmass. All the toasties had an intense cheese flavor. The Haggis one pair perfectly. The cheese with the Haggis created a flavor intense and flavorful. The 5 cheese is an explosion of flavor. The Venison al paired perfectly with the cheese. The Ploughmass, a 3 cheese sampler was great every single cheese was awsome on its own. The overall experience was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

nice place, espresso and latte fine quality, brownie and vegan flapjack tasty. staff is missing a smile, and the scones that the cook won an award for are missing from the menu. a pity... i can have the above mentioned order in any decent place in any city, scones on the other hand ? a missed opportunity...

Delicious, locally made cheese in tasty light bites at good prices. Fresh coffee. We had 2 toasties, mac & cheese and 2 coffees for around £20. Lovely forest walks around. Absolutely recommend.
You can also buy a selection of their cheeses and a few other bits
