This was my first time trying Afghan cuisine, and Mezbaan didn't disappoint! It's an absolute must-try, and I'll definitely be ordering more. Everything, from the rice and salad to the especially flavorful meats, was so rich in flavor. I really enjoyed it.
Went there for lunch after installing some windows at the condo building next door. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was super relaxed, the server was extremely friendly and gave us both some good options. I had the tandoori chicken wrap, with fries and a drink. The price was very good for how much food was served. The other patrons in the establishment, were getting equally sized portions of food and it all looked amazing !
If this restaurant was there when my wife and I lived in the place next door, you would not have been able to get me out of there ! 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone !

Mezbaan has the best Afghan food in all of Ottawa. The Mantu is incredibly delicious and the hospitality makes you feel right at home. Highly highly recommend this restaurant! I rarely give a 5 out of 5 rating, but this place deserves it!
I dined at Mezbaan restaurant, and the food was truly outstanding, deserving a solid five out of five stars. The kabobs, dumplings, and rice dishes were all delicious. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend trying it if you're a fan of Afghan cuisine or looking for a memorable dining experience.
We had a great experience here. Food wasn’t very spicy and therefore my baby also enjoyed.
The service was rather dry according to me. I understand the poor ladies serving were tired but that doesn’t mean you serve with a stern poker face.

Amazing food and service even though they were full. We ordered mantu, shami kabob, half chicken tandoori and chicken chaplee. Everything had the right amount of flavor. Also ordered fries for kids, they were fresh and crispy. They use great quality rice. Highly recommended
We were looking for Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan restaurant to try difference food, but not available. So we settled with Afghanistan food.
Surprisingly, very good. We order Uzbek rice with lamb, #5, Mantu, and cheese naan bread. Great price, quality food, friendly service, and clean restaurant.
We are definitely returning to the restaurant, because there was one dish that almost every table ordered the we did not try.
We went back again for dinner and again, great food, great service. We also ordered milk pudding (not sure about the name) and they just gave us as a complementary.
