This was the perfect place to spend a few hours during a rainy day in Rio de Janeiro. This aquarium has hundreds of different species of marine creatures from all around the globe. I especially liked that you can find "education spots" next to almost every display. The entrance is a bit over 100 BRL for foreign visitors, worth it if you are into animals or of you want to take nice pictures.

I had the worst experience at this aquarium! There were way too many people, and it was impossible to take photos or enjoy the exhibits properly. We waited for 30 minutes just to enter the 360-degree tunnel, and in the end, we couldn't even get a single decent photo. This is undoubtedly the worst aquarium in the world. It was a complete waste of time and money. The overcrowding ruined any chance of a peaceful visit, and I'm deeply disappointed with the overall experience. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. They need to manage their crowd and improve the visitor experience ASAP.

Not only was the experience terrible, but the price was outrageously high too! We had to shell out 300 Brazilian reais (equivalent to 60 euros), which is exorbitant for what we got. I expected so much more for that kind of money. This aquarium is an absolute rip-off, and I feel like I've been scammed. It's unbelievable how they can charge so much for such a disappointing visit. Save your money and find a better attraction to spend your hard-earned cash on. This place is a complete letdown in every way possible.

Here an Illustration: To pay for AquaRio is worse, than crypto investments falling to zero and below. (btw. I do not even know, how this feels, but i assume it feels like that.)

The only great thing about these plantless boring fish in these tanks is the agony you feel during the trip.

Take care. I feel like the cute ray on the following photo:

The biggest aquarium in South America.
The facility is organized and clean.
When we went there on public holiday, even before opening time, there was short queue to enter. We watched many kinds kinds of marine species.
It took around 1 hour to see all exhibits.

They have a decent aquarium. It’s a little expensive for tickets, but we loved the sharks and piranha’s. It’s annoying how they act like it’s required that you have to take the pictures when you don’t want to at the beginning before entering the aquarium. Buy tickets in advance online so you don’t have to wait in line to buy them. I took away one star because the photo sales girls are some of the most OBNOXIOUS and predatory people. They laugh and go “oh my gosh how beautiful” when looking at your photos in such an obviously fake voice that it’s almost insulting. They explained that it’s a high price for the photos and then my wife asked how much for just 1 or two photos and they TRIPLED the price. We didn’t buy just because it was an obvious scam.

Das Aquarium ist ok. Keine Beschriftung auf englisch. Man müsste QR Codes scannen. Es könnte mehr Aquarien geben. Viel freie Fläche. Es kann also besser sein. Aber sehr gepflegt. In allen Becken ist was zu sehen. Der Besuch lohnt sich also.

The place is good for aqua life lovers but the ticket is a bit expensive. You will get to see lots of different species. The best attraction is the tunnel in the shark tank. You will be mesmerized.
