Mount Kenya National Park

It is a beautiful place although a bit cold. Lake Ellis(Mount Kenya) is an awesome place to visit

I visited Kenya National Park recently and overall, I would give it 3 stars. The natural beauty of the park is truly impressive, but there are significant drawbacks. One major issue is the lack of accommodation options and inadequate toilet facilities. For instance, during a camping trip to Lake Ellis, I was surprised to find only one toilet available. This was inconvenient and didn't meet the needs of the visitors.

While the park's stunning landscapes make it a must-visit destination, I believe there's a pressing need for improvement in terms of restroom facilities. A better provision of toilets would greatly enhance the overall experience for tourists and help preserve the natural environment by preventing unsanitary conditions.

Mt. Kenya Forest is a true gem. It's packed with all sorts of plants and animals. Plus, the views of the hills are simply stunning. A great spot for nature lovers or anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

Beautiful mountain with a sacred history in both Kikuyu and Maasai folklore. Varied landscape (high jungle, grassland, rocky lunar) and wildlife. Ask where the elephants are on their circular migration around the base.

Camping permitted anywhere within. Assistance of a guide (even for day hike), highly suggested.

A real treat in Africa.

The different varieties of vegetation was clearly visible .
The hiking routes well maintained
The place is so clean .
Some zebras and Olive baboons as you approach the gate.

Mt Kenya is a breath of fresh air. Dense vegetation. Kind KFS officers. There's a slab for a cookout or bonfire or roast. Their group rates are very affordable too.
