Close, but not so good on fruits (especially the local ones), and it is very hard to find someone to help find a product. Another issue is that the party accessories for kids are ridiculous, expensive 3-4 times more expensive than in Jumbo. Almost every little thing is 20 lei, things that you can buy with 5 in Jumbo. Same with kitchen accessories, for instance, a set of 8 bottle corks is 20 lei, a similar set in Hornbach is 7 lei. You take these products thinking they are cheap, but actually they are not. In my mind, the buyer should check what competitors are doing, but actually, he is not. Other than that, it is OK.
I live in Bucharest for half a year, and this is my favorite hypermarket. A large assortment, including many analogues of my usual food. Special thanks for the vegetarian products.
Large store with good variety but some staff are cold and rude and make you feel like an inconvenience. A smile goes a long way. There are a few friendly staff but far and few between ☹️ Today my husband and I were berated for accidentally entering at the wrong entry point by a young female check out worker when the cranky female security person had already directed us to the correct entry. This was condescending, completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The customer experience is quite confronting 🫣
I use to shop on Kaufland before Veranda was open, after I move to Carrefour and most of the time I’m happy …but not always… I really appreciate the work behind this kind of supermarket (and that is why I don’t rate low) …so many products, prices, stocks, offers… Errare humanum est… But at least when a mistake is made you better fix it and not try to lie and/or put the blame on the client. It took me 20 minutes to convince the 2 ladies from personal that B category at books NEVER was higher then 10 lei. I payed double and want refund of the difference. Not return…refund. Is not about the amount is about the attitude. Wasn’t the first time I discover error on prices but I hope the last one I have to explain the obvious .
