Visa Advice - Go to consulate website and fill out the form, PRINT it but don't bother sending it in. Dealing with the Houston Consulate was a waste of time, the New York office “ran out of” visas for part of our group. At least the Washington DC office told me to do it at the airport, and was kind in answering my answers.
PRINT the confirmed departure from country flight information.
Even if you are not sure where you will stay, make a reservation at a hotel for the entire length of your stay. PRINT the confirmation, then you can cancel the reservation. You will not get a visa without a proof of reservation and you do not want to be in line at the airport at 2 am making reservations and trying to get them PRINTED.
PRINT a copy of your passport - doesn't matter if it is color or bw or the size.
PRINT a copy of your covid vaccine card.
Put all of these PRINTED documents in the order above.
Pay with credit card is best. If you pay with cash, but absolutely sure your American dollars are in perfect condition.
Don't bother with bringing passport photos, they will take one with their Webcam.
They didn't ask for bank statements like they do on the website. They didn't ask for proof of the yellow fever vaccine like they did on the website.
Try to find out ASAP which line is for the Visas. I asked but was told to wait in the main line, then had to switch to the visa line.
I arrived at 2 am and it took about 2 hours to get through. Mainly because there was a family of about 10 that had NONE of their documents PRINTED and each person had to have a copy of each document even though they were the same. Most people only had their documents on their phones so an immigration agent had to go back and forth from the line to another location in the airport to print these things for each individual person. They were very kind to do this but it was extremely frustrating for me who had my documents ready. So for the love of yourself and your fellow travelers PRINT your documents in advance.

They don't answer your calls.

Great time. Top Quinoa is excellent.

They never answer the phone. I called multiple times, the one in Houston, TX and the one in Washington DC. I emailed them. I even sent a message via Facebook but I haven’t hear from anyone.

Bolivia embassy is lit. Great food. Would love it if the food was not Bolivian. But okay. Would eat again.

The Bolivian culture was on full display, during the Around the World Embassy Tour. We got to experience the culture of Bolivia, through events organized for the special weekend. Enjoyed the music, dance, food and more.

Bolivia is a joke, and so is its embassy in Washington. The can’t get anything straight, including their position on democracy. I won’t be traveling to Bolivia again.
