OCHA really needs to improve in their communication skills. In late September 2023 the agency opened the waitlist for HCV. They stipulated online that on 10/09/23 their computer system would generate a list of 12,000 eligible applicants to be placed on the ACTIVE waitlist.

On 10/9/23 I called inquiring what happens to those who were not chosen but still show pending status. I was told a list would be generated on 10/17/23 that it was too soon. It is now October 22,2023. My status still shows PENDING. There is no bulletin on their website informing applicants as to where things are.

As a homeless man traveling miles to care for my mother who is also facing the possibility of homelessness, there needs to be a better system or process. I cant see why the agency would depend on a computer to follow an algorithm to determine who is accepted.

Welfare parents too often are chosen over single individuals. Single males are less often chosen then single women. I have a fixed income and the same for my mother. Both are also disabled. My credit score is 700. Its ashame that despite my efforts to apply for HCV or other programs wherever I can, Im still not qualified even with a co-head.

I was transfered to a women named Rachel who talked so fast and loud very rude would not allow me to ask my questions .

Reading reviews looks like I'm not the only being ignored and neglected. Question ? Anyone hear back after sending in writing a complaint. I'm homeless now, why because I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for an inspection on my 2nd property m. Denied 3/41/23 Found out weeks later. So all expenses from then on were all on me
Full rent , storage, moving truck help. It is legawritten anywhere I can find out the protocols and my rights?

Drive thru is good. Do not go inside store. The service is frustrating. I have been a customer for over 3 years at this store drive thru only and after today no more.

What's wrong with OCHA ?! No answers , no return calls ! Do they get paid at all ?!
