Más de seis horas esperando en urgencias con un hueso roto.. para que te atiendan en cinco minutos y te pidan que vuelvas al día siguiente (otra vez a urgencias) porque claro.. a esa hora en la que te atienden el especialista ya está en su casa durmiendo. Una vergüenza!

In August 2022 I had a baby girl. The labour room staff were absolutely fantastic but on the maternity ward it does go the complete opposite. The staff is so rude and racist! They force you to breast feed even when your baby is born with a cleft palate. I had to beg them to give my baby formula. One morning around 6ish there’s a middle age nurse with short blonde curly hair, slammed the milk bottle on the table and said feed your baby, my baby just fell asleep so I wasn’t going to wake her up, half another later the same nurse came and took the bottle away moaning in Spanish/Catalan that you desperately want to give your baby formula now your not giving it…. I was so angry.
There was another young nurse brown mousey hair, wearing glasses and tattoos she was absolutely vile!
I don’t think the staff treat the Spanish like this as they know they can put a complain in probably get compensated.
Unfortunately I’m going back in Jan to have my 3rd child…. Let’s see how this goes… hopefully the staff have been sacked and there’s decent people on the ward this time round!

4 horas esperando para que te vea un “médico” que tiene prisa por echarte de su consulta. Una vergüenza y un desastre normalizar estos medios y estos tratos en un servicio público. Nada raro que cada día más personas nos estemos sacando seguros privados. No podéis llamaros médicos. Sois la misma basura con la que tratáis a vuestros pacientes que un día dejarán de pagaros vuestro salario con nuestros impuestos tan mala administrados. AUTÉNTICA VERGÜENZA.

Al tiempo de espera aceptable (1h) para ser atendidos en urgencias de obstetricia, se han añadido otras casi 4 horas (hasta que nos hemos ido hartos de esperar) en pruebas varias que en un hospital competitivo normal hubiesen sido 2 horas. Nos hemos ido tras más de 2 horas y media de espera para un prueba de orina, el equipo ha desaparecido casi 2 horas para cenar sin dejar a alguien para al.menos comunicar esos resultados que no suelen tardar más de 1 hora, lamentable falta de empatia, y el rato que estaban tardaban muchísimo en agilizar todo, pero no paraban de hablar como en una cafetería.

Ga hier NIET geen, do not go here! Not even when you’re about to die. Horrible horrible horrible hospital. We had to wait 14 hours (!) to see a doctor. Before that we had waited 4 hours to even be in the emergency care. The doctors are horrible, the advice is contradicted to what other medical staff is telling you and don’t get me started about the time you have to wait. Hours and hours. No water no drinks nothing. No food. Never ever ever again.

The worst birthing experience. I was sick at 37 weeks and had to finish my pregnancy there while my son was sick with bronchitis charged in the same hospital in pediatrics. I was so scared and upset, the nurses talked to me very rude even some comments right in front of me they thought I couldn't understand as Spanish isn't my first language. While recovering from my c section I was alone as my husband was with my other sick son. The attendees actually put my food on the other side of the room where I couldn't eat it and said sorry their wasn't enough tables and others needed it more than me. They were very rude when I was in pain always saying I was too nerviosa and asking what I took at home?? I just had major surgery. I could never get anyone to take me in a wheelchair to see my newborn in the nucu unless my husband was there, they said they were too busy.

Amazing hospital with incredible staff. My 2yr old daughter was in a bad way whilst we were on holiday. We were seen by a nurse in Urgencias within 5 minutes of arriving. Within 10 minutes my baby girl had the full attention of 4 nurses. Thanks to them she was quickly on her way to recovery. Spain’s health service is light years ahead of the NHS in terms of facility’s and the staff are empathetic, caring and nurturing. We cannot thank you enough.
