While it looks like a road leads to it, they only want bike and foot traffic down there so anticipate a 1/2 mile hike down and the same back up. The somewhat hidden trail to the St John River was full of beautiful and very fragrant flowers.

We stop here whenever we visit Madawaska! The path down from the road is maintained so well you could drive a Chevy Cruze down it in April, and this beautiful spot is a wonderful place for a picnic, or just to enjoy the majesty of the river for a little bit

Nice place this is where they place markers to represent family reunions that have taken place some have time capsules

A very beautiful and peaceful spot for a picnic or just to sit and watch the river. A lot of history here as well.
