Asbury Park has become a destination for beachgoers since its revitalization. Hotels, restaurants, music venues and historic landmarks line this famous boardwalk. We visit often with friends and love the beautiful beachfront. A hidden gem of the New Jersey shore!
Love coming here early in the morning and walking the boardwalk. It's so peaceful and serene. The old architecture of Convention Hall against the majesty of the ocean, sun rising above the horizon just brings a sense of zen.
During the day, it's a fun, busy place with great eats and views. The beach can get a bit crowded, but it's well worth coming and checking out.
Definitely beautiful and a nice boardwalk.
Charging to enter will never be normal or right (why tf does govt take our money for taxes for? fyi, they charge more kids!)
Food a little on the high-end as far as prices go, but many places to eat and get a drink.
I think that the Town is really starting to move in the right Direction. For one the Real Estate Empire is Super and Growing... when there is all new Architectural Buildings it's a Nice feeling. The Multi-Million Dollar Landscaping in the City is Beautiful from one end to the other, it's amazing, most along the Beach. The Arts, The Music, the Restaurants are super Nice friendly great food nice atmosphere, fun, many Ocean views. Asbury Hotel is really clean and fun with music and care...the Asbury Park Police Department has everything covered and I see no problems. The Asbury Park Police are visible and they want everyone to enjoy themselves in a peaceful way. I see them all the Time. With crowds like this here it's Vital to have good Great and many Police Officers around and they are Visible. I find that comforting. I have been helped to many times to count. Thankfully!! I always enjoy the Variety of things to do here. You can just walk on the boardwalk, go shopping, lay on the beach, go swimming in the ocean, take your kids to the sprinkler park, eat at a nice restaurant, or get a satisfying snack, a refreshing drink, and so much more. Enjoy every minute. 😁

Spent Sunday afternoon on the beach with some friends. The beach was clean, not overcrowded, and we were all treated to a group of people being Baptisted! I wish I would of thought to get a few pics. Further, it was only $9 per person for the day. You can bring a cooler for food and drinks if you want, or there are dining options on the boardwalk. The only possible drawback is the parking, so make sure to go early or bring a bike to ride from your car to the beach. 🏖🌊🌞🐳
MUST GO BEFORE 9AM AND PARKING IS FREE, this is a great place to walk, bike and walk the dog, go extra early, I would go from 6am to 9am, because parking is free up to 9am and we rode our bikes all the way to Belmar, so much fun, riding next to the ocean!
Casino is closed (hurricane)had art work I got a few pictures of the 2 building before not enough battery in phone to get rest of boardwalk an theater,. Had a Good time played some pinball at Silver Balls. An finished my trip another WaWa stop for gas an stopped an sandwich for the road . An a Dunkin Coffee then the highway ,
For my first trip to New Jersey had the time I wanted to have ..an no problems .(end of june)
The Asbury Park beach and boardwalk of today are not the same ones I knew growing up. Today they are full of businesses, beachgoers, foodies and people who just want to enjoy the sounds of the waves. The boardwalk has been refurbished, and there are many new restaurants and hotels. In addition, to famous landmarks like the Stone Pony where Bruce Springsteen got his start. The boardwalk itself is rather accessible, it could get bumpy at times. There is access to the beach as you can see in some of the photos. However, it only will let you go halfway to the water. This is great for a day trip, or a weekend trip so long as you don't stay too close to the beach as the hotels are rather pricey. Head on out and enjoy yourself!

Awesome eclectic artwork from amazing artists. Simply breathtaking artwork within the remaining carousel walls and a great use of historical space
The aesthetic derivative of punk and shuttered building makes the artwork of the great carousel building and the old Casino an amazing place to visit, but only if you enjoy art of all varieties. The limits are boundless and the place, although a bit decrepit, is awe-inspiring. The detail to 20th century design, much of it still intact, is really nice. But again, you'll only derive pleasure from it if you love artsy things.

I love Asbury Park💜 🌈 I live fairly close, and I have seen the drastic changes in the last 20 years. I am hopeful that the feel and the vibe of this whole area could stay the same. You can always anticipate the artistic changes that happen at the convention center. The restaurant are great also. Check out the new boutique shop that I included. Very sweet 🌱 ✨

It was a beautiful day for the beginning of a new season (after a pandemic). Please be mindful of all who join you here.

Really great board walk. Food shops, restaurants, shopping, desserts and the beach! There was a Halloween type festival going on today. The whole town looked like dead people. #vaelite #lilrussva #13 #nj #njbeach2019
Love this area! Been coming back every year for the past 7 years. Each year there is more progression and improvement. The area is very relaxing with a lot to do. However, get in early or you will not find a parking space anywhere!
Historic building located on the boardwalk in Asbury Park. Some of the artwork inside the pass-through is covered up due to renovations, but it is worth seeing--a trip back in time to the early 1900s. The famous 1920s mermaid can be viewed through peepholes along the length of the structure.
