Absolutely dreamy. We found a great restaurant, ate warm cookie samples from the windows, and hunted for the oldest home in the village. Such a great time.

A quaint medieval Alsatian village surrounded by breathtaking vineyards. We did the hiking route from Zellenberg to Hunawihr and then to Riquewihr, all through vineyards.

Walk through La Porte Haute and it’s the first thing you’ll see.

Easily most charming of the Alsatian medieval villages. Of the six villages that we visited, this is the one I would recommend for anyone limited in time or wanting to see the most beautiful representation of this style of architecture. It’s very busy, but there is plenty of parking very close to the old town.

Precioso pueblo

Very nice and authentic Alsace village/ town. The storchs are always worth a look. Old buildings, towers, and churches.
The main street guides you through the town and there are plenty of nice restaurants.
Typical food served.

Loved this place. Recommend going on the little train that takes you through the vines if you don’t t want to walk up the hill. Good location to visit other medieval towns as well

Beautiful town, it deserves a 2 hours stop for a visit!
It makes you feel into a tale, it's easy to understand why it inspired the village of Beauty and the Beast.
Just park outside the center, take a walk and be amazed!
