Tremendously insightful visit with a much deeper emotional impact than I could’ve imagined. Honored to have had glimpses into the life of MLK for my own personal education, to some extent, of his inspirations and dreams.

An absolutely AMAZING venue! It’s absolutely stunning.

Every seat offers an excellent view and comfortable seats, leg room and space between people (I’m short and not too wide).

Bathrooms on each of the 3 levels.

2 levels of snacks/drinks.

Exit on each level directly to the street.

Plenty of street parking even when football games are happening at the stadium nearby for as little as $8 a 5 minute walk away. Other lots are $40-100.

Wonderful experience during a comedy show. Very nice staff and it was easy to navigate through, even on a really busy night. They serve drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and popcorn. I didn’t see other foods but I also didn’t wait in line. The building was clean and they have a smoking area. The surround sound and TV screens were working well and we heard/saw the comedian very clearly. We prepaid parking and it was pretty simple to get to and from our parking space at the venue.

Great experience to share with my sisters. Brought back a lot of memories and unfortunately mirroring what we still see. If nothing else, I took from there the witness of the strength and resilience of those who were before me.

We love Myra!! We were welcomed by Marcellus as soon as we arrived, he’s super friendly and welcoming and made us feel we were no strangers. We signed up online for the 10 AM architecture tour and it was the best tour I’ve ever attended. We had a very luxury small tour group of 6, my husband and I, and another lovely family of 4. We are blessed with Myra as our tour guide, and her love for the Fox Theatre passed to us thru her enthusiastic introduction. Our tour supposed to end around 1 hour, but we could never get enough stories from Myra and she literally knows everything about the Fox Theatre. I love her “Ghost Tour” stories and didn’t get to share mine with her (I think that’s too personal and just waste everyone’s time). But I would like to add it here if she’d see it someday - I experienced once that my digital device was abruptly shut off when I was feeling something went wrong and called somebody for help. So when she talked about everything was shut off for no reason, I couldn’t relate more and believed every word she said about her experience.

We love you Myra. You made us home even we were just here for the tour. I’m so glad I insisted to bring my husband here with me, I missed my chance to visit the Fox Theatre due to the pandemic in 2021, but here we are. Hopefully we’ll be able to visit again in the future and watch a show here next time. God bless beautiful people like Myra and Marcellus. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA is located at the corner of Peachtree Street and Ponce De Leon at 660 Peachtree Street, NE.
Several years ago I made a trip with a few others to take a tour of the historic Fox theater and I was not disappointed....I snapped as many photos as I could whenever our tour guide pointed out certain objects that were unique and exclusive to the Fox theater. I also brought some paranormal equipment, including a K2 meter and a Mel-Meter, which are both used to measure temperature and electromagnetic fields. The camera that I used for my pictures was a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi with a variable 18-55mm telephoto lens. Throughout the 2 hours that we spent there, there was only one object in the entire theater that gave off an unusual amount of EMF, for which I had no explanation as to the source of or why an empty Antique wooden armoire, located just outside the women's bathroom, was causing my meters & hair on the back of my neck to stand on end. While standing near the armoire, I recorded extremely high Milli·Gauss readings on my EMF detectors, For which I have no explanation. I took many photos inside the theater hoping to catch spherical orbs or possibly even full-bodied apparitions.
I enjoyed my time at the Fox theater and I would love to attend a show or performance there in the future. I would recommend the Fox theater to anyone looking for a stroll down history Lane.

So glad we stopped in to visit this site. It's a somber and informative place to learn more about the greatest civil rights leader in history and pay your respects. If you haven't visited and are interested in this topic, it's a must. Thanks to the staff for keeping it beautiful and operating well.

Absolutely loved this experience. I hadn't been since the exhibit was complete but am so happy to have the experience. Wonderful job Atlanta!! It would be nice if the home tours started a little earlier but this exhibit is a must see. I'd say do this over the Civil Rights Museum. At least this paints a positive picture of the happenings of the times. If we are going to tell the story...tell it right or tell it right. Those that have gone to both will understand what I mean. Thank you to this center for being beautiful. Thumbs up👍🏽!

I love history, and walking through the old parts of towns gives me a sense of bygone days. This district doesn't disappoint - beautiful old homes on quiet streets. Loved the varied architecture, and the people out in their yards were extremely friendly. A joy to visit.

Beautiful memorial park, maybe the best I've been to. In nearly 25 yrs of visiting Atlanta, I don't know how it has taken me so long to make it here. As unable to visit the house or Ebenezer Baptist because I did no advance prep work to find out tour times & get tickets, so I only did the self-guided tour.

They call it the Fabulous Fox for a reason! After seeing many performances here, we decided to kick off the Halloween season with a ghost tour here. The walking tour was jammed packed with history and tales of reported ghostly sighting as we were led through the nooks and crannies of this gorgeous theater. MVP goes to the ghost of Roosevelt (10/7/23.)

One word of caution, avoid the Espresso Martini...it's terribly frightful.

This historical museum is a must visit! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this museum as a MUST SEE!! Coming here and walking through each of the exhibits is eye opening. To hear the recording of the people from that time area speak about their experiences is educational. To see all of the items in this museum is amazing. Seeing the items from Rosa Park and Mahna Gandhi is amazing as well. You can spend hours here. There was some preservation being done to the waterfall, so one side of the museum was not accessible. Ebenezer Baptist Church was open to the public on a schedule. Parking is free a cross the street. Entry into the church and museum is free. I’m thankful to have visited this museum.

We came to town to see the paw patrol tour so you can already assume that I had a child with me. Seats were great, theater was a bit chilly but we knew to plan for that! Restrooms were clean and plenty of staff to help with ALLLLLL the children! Loved this experience and will be back

First, I enjoyed the site and what it stands for, but I noticed that the center grounds aren't kept up. The Roses had weeds and overgrown the site of the graves I have a long history with the Internional Rose Garden here and California, across the street the walls could be power washed where the reflectionpool is located, people from all over the world come to see this historical site. The Park and Rec has to do a better job at keeping it maintained? The King family and the Federal Government needs to do a better job and be more active in its appearance?

A very moving tribute to Dr. King and his work in civil rights. As you walk through the memorial and burial site, Dr. King's voice can be heard with his many speeches.

Part of Atlanta history. It looks small outside of the building since it is located in the middle of the city, but it is actually huge inside. Decoration and sound systems were amazing. I wish they had a better job on carpet maintenance. It smells and worn out, but other pros cover all the cons. There are plenty of paid parking spaces around it, but I recommend you get there 30 mins to an hour early to find a parking spot easy.

It is one of the oldest Fire Staions in Atlanta, now turned into a museum in the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historicsl Park in Atlanta. Gives an insight into this historical area.... very well maintained.

Visited the Fox theatre for a tour of the establishment! It was a great experience learning about how the theatre was built, the struggles it had to withstand over the past 94 yrs and how it has evolved to the mesmerizing place it is today. If you are in Atlanta, this is a must visit! Allen - our tour guide did a wonderful job of making the tour feel extra special. Hoping to catch a show here sometime :)

I was surprised at the size of the MLK Jr Historic Park. The architectural design of the Visitor's Center is beautiful both inside and out. The inclusion of the neighborhood homes and fire house made this amazing journey so much more interesting. The videos, photos and audio-visual all worked together to make this an unforgettable experience.

I had a great time visiting and exploring this historic site. It was not crowded at all. Not too sure if it is wheelchair accessible. I was climbing a lot of stairs. Not many railing available. Just a heads up for those whom have a mobile disability. Highly recommended for all ages.

Rich with history! I learned so much about MLK and his wife Corrett! It's a great place to take your kids or yourself to learn about history! Best part was that it was free!

My friend and I visited The King Center mid-morning during the week. It just happened to be Founders Day. There was a lot activity and a number of groups of kids.

It had been a long time since I had seen a group of kids on a field trip. They were quite inquisitive and very noisy.

The Center is a great place for history buffs - it is a must-see for visitors to Atlanta.

Midtown district is awesome. A natural oasis in the Atlanta metropolitan area. With so many trees you can’t believe you’re in the center of a big city.

The beautiful face of Atlanta! Always greeting you on your way into town. Very unique & a great choice to make for the water tower many years ago. What a caring way to greet tourists & townsfolk alike. 🙂

I love taking my son here. This time he had a project to do for Black History Month and I thought what better way to impress. We went and he got to visit just a small section of Dr Kings life and I hope between that and all the research we did he understands just how important this man truly was.
If you plan on touring the house get there around 9am otherwise you will miss out as the entire day fills up quickly.

Very informative, and our guide/ historian Mrs. Sunshine was amazing! The proximity to Martin Luther King's birth home and it being his playground was surprising. There is a video telling of the history of Auburn Street.

It's cool but unfortunately, there is no way to reach the cauldron as there are no stairs.
Also, the cables across the street and the traffic lights remove any possibility of a clean picture.
Might be a good idea to move it to the Olympic Park instead of having out there in the middle of nowhere.

Best neighborhood in the city. Close to Piedmont Park, Ponce City Market, Marta Midtown Station, Fox Theater and much more.

Drove to Atlanta….I was finally going to see the stone that my dad purchased in 1996 with my name on it. Silly me… I did not check to see if one of the main attractions to the city was closed and there was no way to see it. After the shooting right near the park the night before where 5 teenagers were shot by other teenagers riding on scooters .. that we missed by 5 minutes. I believe that I will not EVER be back to this crime ridden city. Just know if you go to this city and you are a law abiding citizen please be off the street by 9pm for your own safety.

Great city site to visit. Close to downtown and the old Fulton county stadium site.

I was here in ATL when it arrive back in 1996 and still a great Atlanta I on today !!

Very nice...got to see the torch lit up for the Olympic marathon trials back in February. This is located in a huge parking lot adjacent to the old Braves stadium so you can park for free and take some pictures while you're there.

A major landmark for the city of Atlanta as it highlights the history of not only the city with hosting of the Olympics, but also because it was the 100th anniversary edition of the Olympics. While the tower and the bridge are still in great shape and bring back memories of “The Greatest”, Mohammad Ali lighting up the cauldron, it’s rather sad the little attention the City of Atlanta has paid to this historic landmark. It is a little out of the way, close to what is now the Georgia State University Stadium (former Olympic stadium), a little run down, with many of the signs no longer even legible. If you’re a sports or history enthusiast, it’s still worth the visit. Catch a glimpse of history.

The fire engine is a hit with kids. I had no idea about the stories of MLK Jr playing here as a boy. The fire station is a poignant glimpse into the history of MLK Jr and the neighborhood as well as fire stations of Atlanta. Definitely worth a stop.

Martin Luther King used to play here as a kid. Living just 2 houses away, next to the station, he, as all little boys want, wantend to become a fireman. Sliding down the 2 fire poles, alongside the fireman, felt like being one. Building his dream of becoming one. As a fully grown man, he was not allowed to do that anymore. This made him see and realize that all people were not equal, but should be.

This is part of the Department of Interior National Park Services. This facility is part of Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site. This is a historic Firestation Museum at Martin Luther King Jr National Historic Site. If the park is understaff, this facility may be close due to underfunding.
