If you waste your time coming here please take a dump on the owners driveway. It’s private like everything in Connecticut
beautiful lighthouse but it’s on private property so you can only see it from a distance on the side of the rode or across the water.
Cute lighthouse, hard to find access however unless you're already on Pequot Beach.
Private & Pretty Lighthouse
In my retirement I decided to visit lighthouses in New England. I should have done some research, of the three I have visited two were inaccessible. Now I can't imagine much that is cooler than owning your own lighthouse but it is disappointing not to be able to visit.
This may be a landmark, but it's private property and we weren't able to see or climb up into the lighthouse. Lighthouses in South Jersey are all owned by the state and you can tour them year round. This one is attached to someone's house. Not an issue, obviously, but I wish they had that information available or we wouldn't have made the drive out there.
Well worth the trip. After being closed for 4 years. My girls and I were the first to tour the lighthouse again!
