Lovely memorial that remembers our heroes who fell for our freedom 🙏❤️
What a beautiful eye catching building

Historischer Ort, gut erhalten !
The stone of Liberation Route. Its a pece of memory of ww2 .
Onderdeel van Schaarsbergen klompenpad.
Schitterend pad om te lopen. App geeft veel informatie tijdens de wandeling.

Very peaceful although harrowing.

Lovely monument honouring the soldiers who fought in Arnhem.
Leuk historisch feit geleerd
Mooie gedenkplek.
PG van Tienhoven was best known for his work for nature conservation. In 1905 he was co-founder of the Dutch Association of Nature Monuments. He played an important role in the purchase of land and the acquisition of funds. In doing so, he mainly devoted himself to the purchase of large sites that were attractive to the public.

He was closely involved in the establishment of an international conservation organization and proposed to set up national, independent commissions for international nature conservation in several countries.

After 1948 an international nature conservation organization followed, of which Van Tienhoven became an honorary member: the Union Internationale pour la Protection de la Nature or International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
Neo Gothic style building that is definitely an eye-catcher. It housed the Dutch post-office but is now occupied by a restaurant.

The post office was nominated for the Willem Diehl Prize, the Arnhem architecture prize for the best restoration or renovation project.

The Willem Diehl Prize was created to encourage careful handling of Arnhem's built heritage.

Nicely restored medieval gate
Nice way to preserve an important piece of history. Long old slog but easy compared to what the people this remembers faced. Bleeding hands after the 100 miles but we'll worth it.
Wielka odwaga i bohaterstwo wymaga naszej pamięci.

Beautiful historic gate yo the city of Arnhem. The place was bommed flat during WWII and the surrounding buildings are the remaining proof of the need to rebuild the city quickly without taking care of architectural aesthetic values.

Nearby Rhine and various Restaurants
Respect for this heroes.
Nice history about Arnhem.
Beetje vreemde plek, middenin druk kruispunt met kantoren. Betere plek: Airborneplein
