Great food for a good price. Chicken chunks needed some extra salt for flavour. The salad was nice with juicy vegetables.
Just ordered on Uber Eats and it is by far the best cuban food that I've found since moving here from Miami!!! Will definitley be ordering again!! Only place up north that I've found that makes the simple staples: Empanadas/Croquettes/Sandwiches correctly!!!

This place offers a Brazilian-type menu with various type of meat dishes, I was there for a qyixk family meal, and I was impressed with the service, and fiod portions. The atmosphere doesn't scream Brazilian but considering the location, food. And prices, a pleasant surprise
Pio Pio 55 it’s an excellent restaurant. Food it’s always fresh and delicious. Been coming here for years, and they are always consistent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. 10/10
My family and I were in the area and were in the mood for steak. We came upon this place after a google search and decided to try it out. It’s small but don’t let that deter you. The service was lovely and the food was so good. It was my husband, my daughters ages 14 and 13 and myself. We ordered 2 combo Picanha meals that are meant to be shared among 2 people and we had more than enough left over. We would definitely come back if we’re in the area again. Only negative, though no fault of the restaurant, is that it was pretty hard to find parking since it’s street parking. As far as we know the restaurant doesn’t have its own parking but other than that it was great! My daughters even said 6 out of 5 lol
An alright spot, food is mostly reheated and served quickly. Service is bad, they manage to screw up orders consistently and seems like they talk smack behind customers back. Gave it a few chances but officially done eating here.
You get the bang for your buck here. The meat is very tender, juicy, well seasoned. All meat dish under $20 is not very common these days, plus they taste great.

Beware that even though breakfast menu says " All breakfast are served with Coffee, Juice& Bread with Butter" you'll be charged extra for the juice.
The best Mexican restaurant in New Jersey, the atmosphere feels like you are at home, the service is excellent, and not to mention the seasoning and flavor of the food, my favorite are the huaraches. you have to try it!

We were exploring the neighborhood and so glad we tried this restaurant. Our waitress, Darry was very friendly and attentive. She brought us complimentary chicken soup. We ordered the chef’s special combination for two. It comes with four steaks and three sides! The steaks were cooked perfectly to medium rare and came out sizzling on a hot plate. We loved it and will comeback again.

No going to lie, when a friend recommended Xochimilco I thought of the bunch of Mexican restaurants that copy Mexican cuisine but were nothing close to it. But hey I bite my thoughts this is why.
The 5 times I have been there with family and friends everything has gotten better and better, As a Mexican I love my mornings with coffee and conchas which Xochimilco has done this part really well along with:
The tacos 4 per order well filled with Nopales and Cebollitas
The Chiles Rellenos /Guacamole/quesadillas/pozole/ Aguas Frescas and the salsas with chips at the beginning are really good touches while you look at the menu so you have something to eat in the meantime.

I ask for a Poole but it was not fresh smells bad and taste bad I pay for the worst food ever at that location close I eate others locations and food it's delicious no wonder that spedific location its always empty no custumers
Excellent place tucked on 60th Street in West New York. Don't let it's none assuming facade fool you, the food is very good. We did the 2 meals of chicken, steak and ribs with rice and beans for $25. It's an amazing deal, it's hard to justify cooking with these prices. The portions for this was bigger than expected, but the food was very good. The chicken looked dry at first but biting into it, it was very juicy and tasty. Everything was good. My favorite part is that they charcoal grill even and not overly salted with good seasoning. Their flan is also excellent. The staff is warm and attentive. Definitely happy to have come here.
Brazilian steakhouse located in West New York. We've been there to have lunch on a Saturday, and there were many seats available. We've had the Brazeiron Mix with Picanha, and it was a great choice. All meats were delicious and size is more than enough for two people. The picanha was just perfect! It really feels like Brazil. Service could have been more lovely, but it was good enough. The place is simple, but it was all clean. We'll get back when we miss Brazilian food.

They should be ashamed for size of meat for this price. I paid 32$ for all of that. I paid $7.5 for 4 burned Maduros which are in the box. I called with complains and they only offered me free maduros for my next order. They should return my money!!!!!!

I used to go often and now lately the food quality went down drastically. The waitress with glasses was extremely rude to my mom and to top it off we food hair in our food. Definitely wouldn't recommend because even after telling them they just laugh in your face and walk away.

One of the best Mexican Restaurants in the area. Never too crowded but I always order before I pick up my food to go. Los of options.
I was in the area visiting a friend and I was looking for a good Dominican restaurant so I googled Dominican restaurant near me and this place came up and I went there and baby when I tell you they did not disappoint!!!! Food was on point .. I had the bacalao and white rice and beans..excellence taste I will be back….
Pretty good Mexican food here! Came in for the weekend tripe soup because my Uncle kept raving about it. The soup was nice and spicy and satisfying! We also tried the barbacoa and beef tongue tacos. Superb and tender! The tamarindo juice is also really great. The horchata and Mexican hot chocolate tasted nice, but were far too sweet for me. I wouldn't mind coming back here to try other things.

The food is decent and the portions are huge. Each order of tacos comes with 3-4 tacos and the quesadilla order came with three huge folded quesadillas. It's heavy on the oil so if you don't like that note there is like a layer of oil on almost everything. if you're not super hungry one order would be enough for 2 ppl. The pollo taco kinda bland, didn't expect it to be just chopped chicken breast in a taco shell - was kinda hoping there'd be some seasoning or sauce. Also lots of cartilage pieces.

I came in to order tacos. The two women were so rude to me! They made me feel very uncomfortable for being in their establishment! The starring and whispering of was so unprofessional. I was the only black woman in the restaurant. They are racist! I will know longer support this business.
Great food but the worst customers service. We order food to be delivered,and it’s been two times already where they sent us our order wrong. When we called and said to the lady over the phone she had to biggest attitude when I said no cheese due to someone in the house being allergic to cheese. We called to complain when I told her she did the order wrong and even made us pay again for another order ,and the order wasn’t even done properly.Biggest attitude when u place a order to go.
This is my favorite place to get tacos in the area (including New York!), I have been coming here for over 5 years consistently, and I am never disappointed. I have tried many other Mexican restaurants, and the tacos al pastor in Vera Cruz are the best I’ve had anywhere! The meat is so good and there are pieces of pineapple in it (not just the soda, which a lot of restaurants do). Every item on the menu is delicious too, but tacos are my go to. I will keep coming back here!
The food was very old, the shrimp that came with the food was expired and the service was terrible. They gave us the food first and then the drinks, along with that they where very rude and didn’t say sorry for giving us expired food. Never coming here again and I wouldn’t recommend you and others to not come here.
Location is great, service is awesome but the main issue is portions. For the price you pay the portion is extremely small, just a few pieces of meat/chicken. White sauce & Hot sauce aren't that good, same for the rice which is sticky and again a very small portion. Gave this "spot" 2 chances thinking maybe the 1st time was just bad luck or something but both times were consistent with portion & taste.
I have only eaten here once but will definitely come back, my experience was pretty good. The tamales were pretty good (nice and thick with a decent amount of chicken) and my sandwich was stacked, we couldn't finish everything.

I live very close in the neighborhood and always wanted to try this really cute local Mexican spot. I always see people eating there and this place has pretty good reviews. I finally was able to grab some dinner and I ordered shrimp tacos. When I arrived home and ate them, they were so so so delicious! The food was very flavorful the toppings are well seasoned, not bland, not over cooked, definitely these tacos were made with lots of love. I love their salsa Verde, it is nicely done and very tasty! I couldn’t be happier with my tacos because I am obsessed with shrimp tacos and I usually get them in one place in Bergenline but this place definitely topped it. Muchas Gracias for my delicious dinner I will be visiting again!!

Their pozole is really good. The tostadas that come with the Pozole order are trash. They literally splat a spoonful of beans on them, throw a bit of lettuce and cheese and call it a day. I always let them know I'm better off without them. Their tacos are really good. The Tortas are okay. They close the kitchen 30 minutes before their closing time. They're the only Mexican restaurant whose Pozole I'll have within my radius. Old fashioned and delicious.

Order food for delivery and forgot half my food, they they tell you a price over the phone once it's get delivered its a different price. Order steak and they send cocina. Food all oily, 45$ down the drain! Should've Order from sabor a veracruz better!

Service is excellent. We had the carnitas taco and chicken nacho which was nice and homemade but a little salty.
The worst food I’ve ever had. I came for a quick veggie burrito to go. The to go bag had foil container with mush tortilla full of grilled onions and peppers. In separate containers there was bean soup, rice and guacamole. What the F is that?! The soggy tortilla tasted like cleaning supplies. Guac and rice were edible. I didn’t even try the beans that were inside of this soup juice. I paid almost $18 for that and a horchata. Never ever again. This place shouldn’t have 4 stars by any means.
Overall it was a good experience, the service was friendly, the portions were so huge that none of us finished our meals and the food was generally tasty. The guacamole in particular was good. The only caution I'd note is that the tortillas had the consistency of corn tortillas instead of the flour ones that we are used to.
So I usually order delivery from this place and 2 times I've had something wrong with my food first I found a sharp plastic object in my food I let it go just didn't call for awhile yesterday I thought let me give them another shot enchiladas were decent so I decided to order again today bad decision .I got the beef tostadas the cheese on top smelled n tasted funky I called and let them now this time I threw up what I ate n I think this time I have learned my lesson
Pretty good Milanesa Sandwich... One of the best Guacamole in the area! Not a big fan of their cakes!!! Make sure you specify what bread or other ingredients they put in your sandwich/food... I think they hava new chef/cook and he does things a little different unless he is told otherwise... There is bad communication from the waitress to the cook... Very common problem everywhere!!!

The food here is always fresh and delicious. The prices are still reasonable although they have been slightly raised since the pandemic began. The staff is always friendly and courteous. There are only 3 tables with seating for 4 as the place is small. If you’re looking for comfort food just like home made, this is the place for you.

Went with wifey for lunch today. Service was horrible as they never gave us the tortilla chips with the salsa that they use to give out when you ate inside. We sat outside on the tables they recently setup. Also previously their menus use to list their prices and now they don't. Not sure why, maybe they think they are a upscale restaurant. Next time , I will try the one on 51st instead of the one on 55th st across from the post office
I stopped by the other day because I was in critical need of a steak sandwich, and so I decided to give this establishment a try. I must say, I was not disappointed in their marvelous creation – the Spot "Giant" Steak Sandwich. Filled generously with delicately-cut steak fried in a Latin style, smothered in a Philly style cheese sauce and ultimately ornamented with fresh, crunchy potato crisps, this footlong masterpiece was a trip to another dimension.
5 stars to the quality and care by the kitchen staff and the seasoned professionals who truly love their craft and run a tight operation!

Almost walked right by this place and so glad I went in. We got the steak and cheese sandwich and a chicken wrap and woah! The steak sandwich was delicious, with cheese perfectly mixed into the steak and topped with crispy string potatoes. The chicken in the wrap was nicely seasoned and it had just the right amount of ranch dressing. All the meat tasted high quality. Will definitely be stopping in again.

I got the ropa vieja, heartburn attack! Cheap tomato sauce, the yellow rice has no flavor. The yuca was atrocious, frozen yuca not fully cooked the mojo is just embarrassing , literally goya green recaito paste with lime juice YUCK! Tasted chemically.
Something changed here for the worst!

Came in for some last minute breakfast with some friends & we got the last of everything. Even though it's a small spot, food flies fast out of here. Best proof of how good it is. Great prices as well.
This place is delicious! The Pan Platter is a timeless go to. I don’t live in the area but whenever I visit friends in Weehawken I love to come here. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because 2 of the 4 times I’ve been here, my order was switched up 😰 but if we’re talking just food, flavor, taste, price and portion it’s a solid 5/5!
Their food is good, their cakes are good, their bread is good. The waitresses attitude though? I couldn’t tolerate it. I literally saw one waitress roll her eyes. Not at me, but at someone else. I don’t think they saw but I did. Way too disrespectful.
Food is good but cant believe on a hot day the owner prior to leaving asked employee to turn off ac(this was what I was told when asked why no ac). It was so hot that I really couldn't enjoy my meal & wanted to leave asap. If you can't or won't provide ac for your customers & employees, shut the place down.

Google recommended this to me with a 98% match so we decided to give it a shot. It is a very small place with seats for maybe 15 closely packed customers. Because of the size it was also filled with the smell from the grill that seemed to be stuck to us afterwards. The menu is very limited, the food was not bad but far from something I want to have again. We had a double bacon cheeseburger and the steak platter. In case you were wondering about the pictures that is potato sticks you see (thin sliced potato chips basically). I assume the popularity is attributed to the school nearby and for whom they have a special menu.
Stopped in with a co-worker for some of those lunch specials. The service was excellent. The food is authentic, the home- cooking sort. The place is small but accommodating. They charge you money, in return, the doors remain open awaiting your return.
This place is a hole in the wal with the most delicious food ! Yummy platters of chicken, beef or both served with yummy rice and salad and a side of pita! The wraps are out if this world! I really don't ever leave reviews but I was so disappointed by this place that I felt the need to warn everyone NOT to go here. I used to be a regular customer because their cakes were always great but my last experience was terrible. When we cut the cake, handed out to guests and took a bite, we realized that it had gone bad. I don't understand why it would taste so sour so fast if it went straight into the refrigerator after we bought it. That night, I couldn't sleep because I had such a bad stomachache so the next day I called them and they told me to bring the remainder of the cake and they would help me.
When I got there, the owner asked why I didn't bring it the day before and why it wasn't the whole cake. I kindly explained that by the time we tasted it they were closed and it was already cut so the guests had eaten parts of it. The owner began getting very nasty and disrespectful when I asked her to taste it. She said that her cakes were fresh and that if she died from eating it, I'd be welcome to her funeral. As an owner, this is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to speak to a customer. I was in no way disrespectful to her and was simply letting them know so that they could be more careful or check their fridge. In the end, she banned me from ever going back there. Again, I explained to her that I was a regular there & had always ordered their cakes (even for my sister's wedding) but she still insisted that she wanted nothing to do with me & I could never go back there again.

Only had 3 days in Jersey and had to come eat here three times!!! It was soooooo good. Had the mangu con los tres golpe- Amazing. Went again and the sancocho.....dont even get me started. I did a happy dance each time. It's like being in DR! Plus, the morning avena... OMG.
My mom and I decided to order food from taqueria Veracruz, we’ve never ordered food from here but decided to give this place a try. We ordered some flautas and some tacos. A few seconds after handing out the food to the little ones, the smallest one he’s 4 comes to my mom holding a sharp needle like object. I am furious and disgusted by the way they handled it. The first time my mother called they ended up telling her “sorry about that, god bless you,” if my little brother had actually ate that we would have been rushing him to the emergency room, your blessings weren’t going to help him. Never ever going to order from here again and I’ll make sure everyone I know doesn’t either.
