Super Good birria tacos
Had a burrito, amazing. Didn't love the tamarind drink, was just ok. But that's fine bc burrito was 10/10 and makes me want to come back and try other items. Very authentic. Hot sauces have kick!!

Jesus was an amazing server. He accommodated my vegetarian sister in order to still serve us family style. Really great brunch experience

ordered 2 chicken burritos and got 2 steak burritos. also specified to get one without beans n sour cream and they still gave beans in both. steak was okay but i was excpeting chicken so its really disapointing.

It is ridiculous how much they charge. I would go here when it was smaller and it was my favorite place but now in days the servers are so rude and over charge for everything! I was going to order somewhere else but unfortunately it was close. But it will be my last time and hope everyone listens to not order here anymore!

This place is AMAZING! Their Arabe tacos are soooooo good, I ordered food there for my party; everyone love the food! Absolutely AMAZING! Only thing is that no one speak English, be aware lol!

There was no one here when we entered and sadly it was just as lack luster a food. It was finnnnee but the meat was over cooked and chewy. The salsa was watery and tasted almost like avocado. Rice and beans solid eh. If you are hungry sure, you will leave fed but that's about it.
Love this place. It’s a hole in the wall type restaurant but the food is spot on delicious and well made. I had a variety of soft flour tacos, guacamole and pico de gallo with chips. I’ll be back

I have had their quesadillas and flautas so far the flautas have been my favorite and the quesadillas were a huge portion, very cheesy and done well I just for myself a bit too much cheese but it’s perfect other than that
The portions to the price are pretty decent I would say I haven’t had their juices though or their tacos but i will definitely come back to try it out another day

Love this little restaurant, we’ve been coming for years and the food was particularly delicious today. All the way from the green salsa they gave us with the Chips as we sat down, to the grilled onions that come with the tacos. We had tacos Al pastor, tongue, and tripe tacos(very traditional🤓). Tacos were delish and filling. 4 to an order, you can mix and match. Totally worth a try🌻🌻🌻
Food was not fresh AT ALL, I’m talking longer than 3 day old reheated inedible excuse of a meal. Person at the counter was rude & inattentive - made me feel like a thief because they didn’t know how to operate the pos system. Extremely disappointed.
I ordered some tacos, to be honest they were disgusting, no flavor, no seasoning. Just terrible , I don’t recommend it at all. Customer service was terrible as well.
Incredible tacos! Just had the steak and carnitas. They were juicy and crisp, accompanied by nopales and lime. The tortillas were thick and homemade (not reheated or from a bag). The green sauce was also fresh, homemade too. Lots of onions and cilantro. As opposed to other places, there were four tacos per order and you can choose two flavors per plate.

First time ordering takeout from a Mexican place that has super bland food. Ordered shredded chicken enchiladas and this disgusting mess is what I got. No flavor at all, chicken is white with no seasoning, AND ITS NOT EVEN SHREDDED!!! On top of that they gave me a side salad that’s all wilted. Tried to make it have some taste and the red sauce on the side has no flavor either. DO NOT RECOMMEND for takeout. Just awful

This last visit was better. My churrasco was well cooked and service was efficient and cordial.
Please don’t serve any more day old empanadas that are microwaved in front of the customer. The first time I tried them, they were great. Went ahead and picked some up the next morning and it was very clear these were old. Ate one and tossed the other.

Not legit with there price. I had called to place an order being tht I come from far visiting family and they play favorites with there customers. Don’t worry you not the only toco place in town.
The restaurant's food was not the issue, but the service. I unfortunately had a bad experience when the bill came and I had asked what the "service fee" when I saw it was applied to my bill. The waitress we had did not answer my question took back the bill and came back charging me an additional "service fee" she stated it was something SHE HAD TO ADD. Please keep in mind it was dine in. When I asked for a manager they refused to give me information.
This is the second time I eat here. The service and food were both excellent. Honestly, this now my favorite Mexican restaurant! The Tacos Birria were superb and my vegetarian friend who ordered vegetarian enchiladas said they were delicious. You can’t go wrong here. Love it!
Heat wasn't working but the food was great. My wife and boys loved the chicken and beef. Rice was also good. Lady serving was very sweet.
I went here expecting great Dominican food . Rice was dry , chicken had no flavor , and some lady was grinding on a guy ordering another girl to serve food . Food was so bad I’d rather eat at Josefas and that says a lot . Legit had food poisoning . Avoid .
This is a hidden gem standing in plain sight. Taqueria Veracruz serves up unique regional and delicious plates. The staff has always been accommodating and the food is always plentiful and satisfying. There's plenty of space in this restaurant so go with the entire family or group of friends.

The place is really cute with great outside seating! Awesome presentation of the meal as well! However my dining experience wasn't the best and I would have been okay with the fact that my server forgot my horchata and did not check on me the whole time I was eating to see if I had it, or needed hot sauce or anything else, but it affected me negatively because when I shared with him that I did not get my horchata and he could remove it from the bill and don't worry about it, he blamed it on it being busy and as I looked around everyone had drinks coming but me but there were only 5 people in house!
However, the food was good and I do believe there could be a better experience. Maybe his head was just gone that day... we all have bad days.

If you want really good Mexican food, this is the place to go. The food is cooked to perfection and was prepared as requested. We ordered chicken quesadillas and mixed tacos: fish, steak, pork and chicken and everything was delicious! This place is definitely my new go-to for local Mexican food and the restaurant is so cute with very nice staff.
Quality of mole varies by day but when it’s good it’s pretty good.
The food is ok, but the prices are inconsistent. Placed an order of a combo #3 and a chimichirri. I grabbed the menu called the same day that I grabbed the menu. When a coworker went to pick it up the food the price was wayy off!! I called and the lady said that the prices have gone up that I have to understand the economy. I told her I do understand but they have to let customers know their menu prices have changed, or MARK THEM WITH A SHARPIE or something.
The food quality is very low. The food was bland with no flavor. It was almost like they just slapped some food together. The guacamole had a watery taste. I had no idea what was in that. The chips were over fried. The fish in my tacos was burnt. They (Uber eats) did not give me utensils when I specified I needed them as I was in a hotel. Could not eat my rice and beans without a fork or spoon. Save your money.
Just love it! Me and my wife had a amaizing dinner here tonight. Food was amaizing and Staff very friendly. As a chef i totally recomend that restaurant. I would give more than five stars . Hope to dine in again. Portion are huge you not going to come back home hungry 🙂 Thank You Guys and keep it going 👌👏

Maybe we ordered the wrong thing but fajita and quesadilla were super dry. They didn’t come with any sauce at all. I asked for tap water and they only served bottled water. The place was also pretty run down. I’m not sure why this place has such good reviews.
We love it! I got birria beef tacos, and the birria quesadilla and shrimp al pastor( we were 2 people, and starving) didn't disappoint, table outside , drinking margaritas and enjoying the night.higly recommended for a night out.Nathan was our server for the night, and we was fantastic!
The portions and quality of product have gone down, while the prices continue to rise. I called to speak with someone about my most recent order, but nobody was available. This place was my go-to for many years, but unfortunately, that time has passed. See my photo. The container holds 1ounce when full. Thanks for the one bite of salsa!
Oh, so yummy. Al pastor tacos were the best I've ever had. I would eat here everyday. It's a BYOB joint, so you can bring in your own beer. Since I can't get Yuengling where I live, it's what I brought.
This place is just gross. We ordered food through Uber eats and it was the worst food ever. Everything was bad. Guacamole wasn’t fresh, shrimp was not cooked properly and chicken was also terrible. Definitely not the place to go
This place is a MUST visit. WOW the tacos are amazing!! In particular "de bistec" oh my! You will end up licking your fingers! True authentic place, the gentleman in the front is very nice and proffessional. The space is very big and clean. You will not regret it! GO NOW!!!!GREAT SERVICE & FOOD TO DIE FOR!

I LOVED the food here so much and I can't recommend this place more. If you want authentic, delicious Mexican cuisine, then this place is definitely the restaurant to go to. The guacamole was addictingly yummy, and the bistec tacos and chorizo quesadilla were very yummy. We ate inside the restaurant so we had a lot of green and hot sauce to work with. It was a very lovely experience.
Great take-out service I was in and out of the restaurant in 5 mins. I'm eating the meal that I ordered and it's great flavor and presentation! I no longer have to drive to Hoboken to Chipotle for a delicious bowl. No complaints just compliments!
One of three places I go for Mexican food outside of Bayonne. Biggies on Bergenline Ave in Union City still has that excellent flavor. Their tostadas were amazing. The green salsa was excellent and their handmade quesadillas de carñitas was an explosion of flavor. The limonada was perfect, not too tart or too sweet. Great service and not a long wait for food. Even tho the parking is sparse most of the time its worth looking for one to get a bite to eat here.
They just charge me $10 for order because i don't speak spanish. $7 if you are latin. Food is nasty and beef stinks. There manu doesn't have price. If you want to have taco and don't speak spanish go somewhere else. There is taco store every block.
If you don't speak Spanish, they will charge you $9 each. I bought taco de carnitas. Someone helped to order food because I don't speak Spanish. I ordered a same menu as the guy who helped me. He paid $7, I was asked to pay $9. Shame on you!!

I give this place a solid 6/10. If you want better and more affordable tacos go to the taco truck around the corner. The guacamole was severely under salted and the tamales kind of tasteless. Tacos were alright but I’ve definitely had better in the area. Not terrible, but not great.
This place is amazing! Very authentic and the staff is amazing. The chorizo tostadas is my favorite it’s always served fresh. One my favorite places to eat. It definitely is a hidden gem. The staff is always so helpful and you can truly see how hard working they are they always try to make their customers happy.
Ordered for a GrubHub pick up one Saturday morning. I had the egg and cheese sandwich and added sausage. The bread was nice and fluffy, and I liked the Mexican cheese (instead of a typical American cheese for brekkie sammies), but there could have been a bit more sausage in there. My fiance had one of the 'Mexican breakfast' dishes - the Chilaquiles Verdes (served with rice, lettuce, 2 eggs, cheese, avocado and sour cream with choice of 1 meat - chicken, beef, pork carnitas, sausage or enchilada meat). We went with the enchilada meat, which was kind of tough. I know chilaquiles will be soggy but this was kind of just a soggy mess. It was almost like a tortilla soup. Also the avocados were an odd color - I didn't even realize they were avocados, I thought they were cooked green bell peppers at first. The flavor of the green salsa was good though.
I think maybe breakfast is not their forte. But I would be willing to try some of the other many, many menu items here. Although sometimes, when the menu is too big, it's not a good sign. I guess there's only one way to find out!

Recommend. A popular local sit-down, casual Mexican Food shop for quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Including take out and local delivery options. Biggies has been our favorite for over 5 years. We even watch parades on Bergenline from our table while we eat. Great local bus transport right outside the door. Owner, management and staff are very helpful. The cooks are the best!!
This place was really good very authentic but they do put American cheese on the quesadilla i order wich it doesn't go with the so authentic food that they have overall really good price and flavor very clean and spacious place definitely recommended and i will be going there again

My food arrived 2 hours late. My hard taco was soft and disgusting. The chicken Fajitas were okay actually. But didnt make up for the experience. First and last time i eat here!

I like it. They have buckets of beer and a shady-as-hell back area where they play music. The burritos are worth it, the ladies are nice and some nights you can actually have a conversation in there. Don't be shy and bring some excitement into your life.
I would not recommend. The food does not have an authentic taste and the customer service is nonexistent. I ordered a “fresh” watermelon beverage, a pork torta and guacamole and chips. The beverage was made from frozen fruit, so that says how fresh it really was. The beverage was 3$, very small and not fresh at all. The pork torta was made with a bread that (if you’re Mexican or have had a Mexican torta would know) is not for tortas, the meat was bland. The torta was 7.50$, decent size but no authentic taste. The guacamole was bland, again I don’t know if they just want you to add the salt or they just don’t really like to season things. Also if you like guacamole you know that one of the ingredients that should stand out the most is the lime, this guacamole had no lime and a really strong onion taste. The best part of this experience was the chips, they were freshly “made” or fried and were served on a nice plate (guacamole & chips 6$). The whole thing wasn’t pleasant and for the money I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I know they also say it’s a good place for fast food but that isn’t applicable either. Try the Mexican spot right down the street called Taqueria El Paso, they have hand made tortillas, the food taste good and are very friendly.
Horrible people. The lady was having a full conversation while taking down an order. Got the order wrong and still wants to charge an absurd amount for food that was not what we ordered. You are better off ordering from Tio Taco or Veracruz they have better service and food.
Google has been nudging me towards going here with recurring notifications that they felt this place was a good match for me. I had the enchiladas suizas and a side of refried black beans. They were very good but they are very heavy with the cheese and sour cream. I love both of those things but it is a lot. My wife wasn't feeling well and they were very accommodating in getting her meal to go. Growing up in southern California I know Mexican food elsewhere is generally not what I'd expect but so far the food I had is close enough that I have no real complaints and will try some more.
I've passed by this place so many times and today we decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. WOW.. I have to say go and try it. Small place but huge on flavor. The service is amazing too. We sat outside because we had our dog with us. As soon as the waitress came to take our order she asked if we wanted water for our dog. I was surprised and thankful. I felt I was at a restaurant in Hoboken or in the city where almost every place is pet friendly. The food is excellent and the margarita was awesome. We are definitely coming back to this place and I highly recommend this place. A hidden gem in Union City. Who would have known?

Awesome Mexican food! I grew up in UC and this has always been my fav mexican place but I go to college at Rutgers in New Brunswick but still come all the way over here for the camarones ala Mexicana. As a college student I miss this authentic homemade mexican food.
The place is large and clean. The lunch special cost $6.95 and was a lot of food. It was also delicious. I have pork with red sauce. The sauce was a perfect level of heat, flavor and texture; not too spicy, just right. The staff was helpful. They are native Spanish speakers however they do have some English speakers as well. They are a new restaurant (as of 12-2017) they have no credit card machine yet so, cash only. We also have had takeout 2x from them, each time, the food came in under 20 minutes and was very good and authentic Mexican. On Saturdays, they have chivo (goat) I recommend you try it.

These tacos are so good!! Ran into the truck and had to buy some. The tortillas are hand made, and the price is a great deal. Best tacos i have had in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by this truck.
The tacos al pastor, are the best in there. There is a good service and good. I recommend everyone to try these tacos !!
Great place for real Mexican Food. Very good service and great variety of dishes. Pro tip I believe they are closed on Sundays, easily accesible and plenty of parking space around.
Food was just ok. Music was way too loud for people trying to eat dinner and have a conversation. We were there at 8 pm. Also they charged us 5$ for a small cup of orange juice even through the menu said 4$ and said they've changed their prices without changing their menus. Not going back.
