Poor steak, bad service, dead restaurant.

Went on Saturday night, absolutely dead in the restaurant. Ordered a steak rare that was clearly medium well. After sending it back, the waiter came back to tell me they’d redo my steak but also that the chef disagreed with me which a bit rude and weird?

I don’t know why they blame me as the customer for it being overdone, it’s poor service and the steak was super tough and too done. Then I got back the most extreme blue, tasteless steak clearly as revenge from the chef. No fresh cutlery after the starter and the chimichuri sauce was forgotten. I hated this place and it ruined my night.

Ok, so I’m conflicted on this, the steak was great but there were so many other issues. Booked a table, and it hadn’t been made available. Which lead to us queuing in the entrance causing a draft which antagonised customers who made a few issues. Anyway.. moving onto the device it was ok, but nothing to right home about. Then the steak, good quality but the “fries” no, these were chunky chips and when you get a decent sized plate of steak it’s not what you really want. Especially if you’ve got fries in your head.

I order 400 gram Rib Eye which was tasty, tender and delicious! Good Service and the price was good. I will be back when here when I visit Amsterdam next time. 5/5!

Easily the best, most affordable steak house in the west end...very small inside, only a few tables but rapid turnover. Steaks delicious. Make reservations early.

Been twice- first time the service was excellent although the second it was a wee bit slow. It was during the Festival so no big deal. But the steaks were juicy - chips good and the Mixed Grill large and tasty. Pricing good and service friendly. If you enjoy Chimichurri enhanced with onions and curry powder then go for it.

Quiet atmosphere. Just the way I like it.
Food was superb. Could not have asked for a better meal. Steaks cooked exactly how ordered, right down to baked potato. Blue cheese hollandaise sauce was out of this world .

Tasty steaks but charging £4.50 for a side of grilled tomatoes or mushrooms is over the top. You have to pay extra for everything including sauce for steaks, chips etc. (This was on their Rugby menu yesterday.) Restaurant is very tightly packed so there is little privacy for most of the tables.
I don't like being so negative as the staff were very nice and, as I said, steaks were tasty and well cooked.

We visited Los Argentinos and the food was really good it would surely come back but we did need to ask 2 times for our meat to be cooked again when we ordered Medium Rare and it was red.

Celebrating a birthday, all 6 of us left fully satisfied with our meals. Steaks flavoursome & cooked perfectly to order..
I had the 450g fillet steak, a lot of meat but with some fries, a peppercorn sauce, chimichurri to die for on the side was phenomenal! Especially, if you get a bottle of Argentinian Malbec 😉

A slightly rustic environment, our table was cosy for 6 with friendly attentive staff.

Definitely somewhere I'll be returning to in the future!

We visited Los Argentinos on Mother’s Day for dinner and the food was amazing. 4 of us attended and we could not fault the food. The service was very quick and the staff were very approachable and friendly. If you are looking for a good steak and grill house then I would suggest you try here. Thank you to the staff for making Mother’s Day a special one.
Als je vlees wilt eten, dan zit je hier goed :) Heerlijke steak en goede friet. Vriendelijke service en een fijne sfeer.

Vooraf hadden we knoflookbrood, maar die had wat smaakvoller gemogen.

Brilliant! What a fantastic little place to eat. Slightly away from the heart of the city but well worth the short walk or taxi ride to. I could not fault the food or service, all round a fantastic meal.

We were a group of 5 and all orders came out together, cooked as per requested and the food was epic!

I went at 5pm so the first customer and the place was all empty. Service was prompt as expected. Had a drink 8£ - not worth it. Can’t even rem the name.
Then had the mix grilled for person. Although this was good quantity but the cuts were cheap. Doubt if they were real ribeye or sirloin. The chop was nice but the rest do it was —- naaa . Didn’t really make a steak house for me. 28£. Sauce, Chips n salsa were included.
Overall 2/5 for taste n value.
Wow, was this a good pick!! The fillet steak was absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had!! Was cooked medium to perfection, juicy, tasty, no fat or gristle, just spot on!! Sorry but that’s why the photo is showing my fillet had already been started it was that good! The inside is tiny, so would advise pre-booking. The outside is tiny, you could easily walk past and miss it unless you were looking, but believe me you would be missing out on the best steak if you walked past this place!
Best steak house in Edinburgh. Very delicious steak (450 Ribeye) and grilled vegetables, mushroom sauce being a perfect one to go with. Ice-cream and cheesecakes are amazing as always. Price is quite reasonable too. Waiters being friendly and professional; the food came quite quickly. Strongly recommend.

This place gives Miller & Carter a bloody good run for their money. Rib Eye steak cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth. King Prawns amazing. Other people in the party had Filet, Sirloin all cooked perfectly. Would recommend you visit if your in Edinburgh
