The church is closed. It has a fence around it.
Beautiful Liturgy on Sept 4 (old calendar). At least 300 in attendance. Outstanding choir!! I was transported- thanks be to God, who gives all good things!!
Sad to see so many beautiful places under restoration in Zagreb. This church's integrity is being preserved by a large amount of scaffolding both outside and inside. It is however still worth visiting for the beautiful interior murals. Alas they bear testament to the impact of the earthquakes back in 2020. Hopefully this church will be restored to it's full glory with the next two years.
One of my favorite churches in Zagreb, its very nicely decorated from the inside and its open every day for visitors.
Normally there are few or no people inside so you can take your time whether you want to pray or just site seeing.
We saw this church by chance, one the most beautiful Cathedral i have ever seen, with stunning interior and a huge chandelier at the middle ,very peaceful and relaxing to see, it touches your heart. If you want to offer candles, outside the church ( left side ) there's a small Chapel ( not sure if they call it Chapel ) where you can put your candles. If you happens to visit Zagreb this one is worth visiting.
So important for all orthodox people visiting Zagreb!
One of the most beautiful churches that I visited while in Zagreb. Once you walk through the simple entrance you walk inside the Bible. The walls and ceilings show you all about the life of Jesus and more.
