We have not been inside, the church is being repaired, but the building from the outside is really impressive.
Ich hätte eine Frage. Dürften auch Kinder also 12 jährige alleine in die Kirche gehen? Mein Neffe würde gerne mit meiner Tochter in diese Kirche alleine. Sie sind sehr religiös und wollen eine Kerze anzünden und beten da sie schon lange nicht mehr in eine Kirche waren. Sie wären eh ruhig. Dürfte man das ?

Eine sehr eindrucksvolle und schöne Kirche. Sie ist am Sonntagvormittag während der Messe geöffnet. Interessant finde ich, dass der während der Messe gelesene oder gesungene Text auf grosse Bildschirme projiziert wird.

Very good proof of beautiful sacral architecture in Vienna. It takes about five minutes by foot from Westbahnhof station.

The sacral building was built between 1868 and 1875 in the historicist neo -early Gothic style according to plans by the architect Friedrich von Schmidt , who also planned the Vienna City Hall . Schmidt had already drafted a church in 1858, but without knowing the building site. [3] A ring of chapels surrounds eight central pillars. The decagon of the Cologne Church of St. Gereon represents an exemplary architectural parallel in terms of the basic structure with regard to the interior of the Maria vom Siege Church in Vienna .

Sehr schön und sehr beeindruckend! "Maria vom Siege" (Fünfhauser Kirche) ist eine der imposantesten Kirchenbauten Wiens (68 Meter hoch). Die Kirche wurde in den Jahren 1868 bis 1875 im neugotischen Stil nach den Plänen des berühmten Wiener Architekten Friedrich von Schmidt erbaut (er plante auch u.a. das Wiener Rathaus, die Lazaristen- und Brigittakirche). Im Jahr 2015 "Maria vom Siege" wurde an die koptisch-orthodoxe Kirche übergeben.
