All 3 of my children have attended this amazing school. The accept and educate all types of learners! My oldest is gifted and they challenged her academically. My middle is autistic and they helped him not only academically but with social and behavioral skills. My youngest is shy and quiet and Saint John Catholic is helping her build her confidence and excel in academic learning.

I could not say enough good about this school! This fall will be my son’s second year and the rhythm of the days, weeks and seasons that they bring to the children is truly magical. As a chiropractor, my philosophy of raising a child is very holistic and the Waldorf based learning follows whole heartedly how our little ones are to be raised. It follows how they develop neurologically as well as nurtures their heart and souls.
Ms. Christi is the main teacher and has been a Waldorf teacher for many years and her level of commitment and care is so wonderful! There is an ease and grace about her.
Ms. Katie is the assistant and she is just so involved with each one of the children. She sings so beautifully with the children!
Dr. Lee and Alecia Stevens, the founders of the school, are true visionaries and I am forever grateful for all of the energy they have put in to creating such a magical place for our littles to come into their own.
I highly encourage you to come check out the school and join our wonderful family!

Super cool school♡ Sad to leave for middle school. All 5th gegra teachers teach very well.

We instantly fell in love with Ms Christi. We just knew our daughter would be loved, nurtured and completely well cared for with her and the Waldorf philosophy too. Ms Christi has 35 years of Waldorf experience!!!! Lucky us. The classroom is unlike any other classroom I had ever seen. I am thrilled thankful and proud to be part of this growing school!

Two of my children have had attended the Acorn School and LOVED it! It’s is such a warm and welcoming place. The teachers are truly exceptional.

The Acorn School is an amazing addition to the community! My son loves being a part of the Waldorf school, and I love the teachers and parents.

I love it! My son really enjoy going to school here and he learned a lot, I would highly recommend this school. The principal is awesome and the teacher's who worked with my son over the years was awesome! My son is a rising 3rd grader!

Great school academically but they don't make parents feel welcome

This school has a lot going for it. The principal is awesome. He is trying to create great students and is an awesome role models for the little ones. The teachers are okay. My son had an awesome CD teacher assistant last year she is now with the kindergartners she is VERY patient my son is a handful. Sometimes the teachers lack luster and vision but they are learning and growing. I think it is a great place to have your child get there basics down. it gets a 4 for the bus system that part sucks. The bus is always late and the stops are not very convenient.

Great school for ur child to attend

A great school with an all-star staff! We love the community feel and the high standard of education. A five star school for the area.

Both of my children flourished at this school. My eldest tested well ahead of grade level, so SJCS provided him with coursework that matched his ability, while keeping him with his age peers. He has gone on to place in the Duke TIP Grand category (top 3% for 2014) and earned "exemplary" level PASS scores. He and his younger brother learned to appreciate the differences in their classmates, and benefited from their individualized approach to taking a child from his or her current level and moving them ahead, whether they are performing at, below or above the grade level for their age. This academic approach, combined with their foundation of solid faith-based values, is unrivaled in the greater Charleston area. Nowhere else can you find such a favorable student - teacher ratio. My sons both learned what it is to be a good person from the dedicated faculty who also demonstrate and guide their students to be socially responsible. Thank you St. John!
