This SCHOOL is the worst my child was bullied the interior time attend this school.. This school was the worst place I could have placed my student in. The teachers act just like the students they do nothing about the problem at hand. They play FAVORTISM big time!!!! If I knew what I knew now I would have NEVER placed my child here.

This school is a joke. The classes are always loud no control when my child calls from classroom u always hear the teacher yelling and kids. The school lunch has gotten my kids sick a few times and they acted like they don’t care. The line for pick up and drop off is ridiculously long. They will suspend your kid for sneezing to loud. I’m over it and will be looking for another school

The school is OK, up until middle school. Elementary is fairly simple although the teachers do tend to yell a lot. To be honest, i’ve never been in a place with so much yelling. You’d be in science class and across the hall you’d hear a kindergartener get screamed at for dropping a cup of water. The teachers barely hold accountability towards those who bully. They usually rub it off. Also, god forbid your teacher doesn’t like you, because I guarantee you will have a terrible year. From experience, I’ve been in fear of other students in the building, constantly in fear of being attacked. Luckily, i’ve always been one favored by all my teachers so I wasn’t alone thankfully. The school is pretty ghetto though. Teachers use fear and intimidation to get a student or class to behave, and if a few students or one class is being bad, the entirety of middle school or that grade is responsible. One teacher slowly drove himself insane because of the students. Girls sometimes get harassed by the boys, and the girls are always starting drama. I don’t get it. Also, there are barely any after school activities. Unless you want to be in a chess club or art, there isn’t anything else. Even then, each of them are only limited to like one month. Besides that stuff, It’s a pretty good school. Middle school teachers are very good at their job and pretty much respectful and supportive as of the 2023-2024 school year. Specials is fun. Overall, it’s a decent school, although i don’t recommend middle school.

I have had a wonderful experience with my child being a student at Laurus. The teachers are so very accommodating and helpful with parent concerns. They are all quick to resolve any issues that may arise with my daughter/students abroad. Each teacher that I have encountered has been over qualified in addressing my personal concerns as a parent (from the office staff to the drive-line staff). In short, I am very pleased with the attitude of the teachers, the positive atmosphere, the cleanliness of the school, the order and structure that is influencing my daughter each day that she learns at Laurus Academy.

Trying to contact the administrator at this school is a joke. Apparently your child can be bullied and harassed, threatening. They don’t think it serious. Principal is never available, Dean Silva Rogers is always on a phone call but yet likes to intimidate people. They write up a behavioral report on your child smear there names. My child is labeled as a child who fights, but I had to take her out of that school due to her mental health. No one wants to be held accountable but yet I have to sign a contract to get her enrolled in a high school due to what they wrote about her. They will end up on medication. I wish I would’ve researched this school before sending my child here. Ms. Mitchell doesn’t get up from the desk she pretends she doing nor does she check the voicemail in a timely matter when you call there. I have left several message for the school principal, she never returned the call. THIS SCHOOL NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. CHILD ENDANGERMENT!!!!

My experience of going to Bradford as a old Bradford student was decent.Bradford was good in my younger days but when I start to get close to middle school like 4th and 3rd grade it took a huge turn bullies would start to come the teachers wouldn’t do anything about it,their education system is not that good I learned the minimum of what I was suppose to learn.When I left that school and went to a actually good school I didn’t learn anything when looking back. It felt like I learned nothing a Bradford when I went to this new school they expected me to know everything because of past years and what I was suppose to be learning in those grades .Their food is also terrible when my mom was volunteering for the school lunch she found that they warmed up the same pizzas from the last time they served them.Ever since them I’ve been bringing my own lunch

I absolutely love this school! I have been part of the Laurus family for 5 years now and they truly do make you feel welcome. I have another child that will also be attending next year. Their communication and safety protocols are great and I have loved all of my child's teachers and deans.

I have enjoyed my time as the Principal here at Bradford Academy Elementary School. 2022 we are focused on Building a Better Bradford! I can't wait to meet all of our new families and see our returning scholars. New Curriculum, New Security Measures, & Dedicated Quality Staff.

Love this school, all four of my kids attended this school, I enrolled them somewhere else last semester and I really hate I did. The staff are like family. The principal knows all the children by name. This is a school of excellence and everyone works very hard to hold the children to the highest standard. This school will always have the best intrest of the student in mind. You won't be disappointed with Larus academy , no school is perfect but in my eyes this school is the closes you will get to perfection.

This is a great school send to your child to through kindergarten-5th grade after that I would not recommend it. The bathroom's are never clean the teachers are rude and disrespectful. There is a school sub named Ms. Robinson who was cursing at children and saying the reason why people call black children monkeys are because we act like them. I felt personally attacked while attending her class for several months before the teacher Mrs. Cooper came back from maternity leave. Mrs. Cooper is an excellent teacher wish I could still have her. She really builds a relationship with her students. There is no science lab for the middle grade students and the deans are horrible. I excelled at this school throughout kindergarten-5th I left right after that. My fellow friends told me how the middle school is and I am glad I left. Shoutout to Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. Lang, Mrs. Woods, Mrs, Gilmore (who left) and all the rest of the amazing teachers. They need a better food service I got food sickness before and had to get sent home.

Very unprofessional, THEY DO MOT VALUE EDUCATION!!!I started my children application process in July. I had to call the school for them to tell me they missing documents, the first day of school I waited 2 hours in a line at the school for enrollment, I was told I would have to wait to the application is approved and I should know in 24 hours it’s now a week my kids missed of school and I received a email last night how they can not give me a date my kids will start. This is after business hours!

DO NOT send your child here, speaking from a kids perspective this is one of the worst schools i’ve ever been to. Many kids are bullied all the time and the teachers do not care at all. Also, the teachers are extremely unorganized. And the bathrooms are also horrendous. The teachers are horrible at teaching and my grades started to drop the minute I entered the school even though i’ve been an honor roll student my entire life. I was trying my hardest but I wasn’t learning enough because the teachers do not know how to teach and they don’t put enough effort and time into teaching the kids. If you want your child to have a good learning experience don’t send them here. - a Bradford Academy middle school student.

my daughter was in ms ions kindergarten class this past year, she was amazing, my daughter has grown so much with her. i loved the fact that i could contact her any time during before or after class for anything, communication was outstanding, my family and i were going to move out the state but are seriously reconsidering because of Bradford. my daughter came into kindergarten not knowing how to read at all but now reading well and what she cant she sounds it out like a pro. thank you ms ions you are the definition of what teaching should be.

This school is upsetting. The kids are bullies. They serve terrible lunch to the point the kids won't eat at the school. My child started out performing high at decrease as he went to higher grade. There education plan is terrible and the reports cards are not understanding. The staff is unprofessional and they are highly unorganized. They have no structure. They have no affordable tutoring and they are not helping kids where they struggle mostly. This school needs a new system to follow. They change teachers every report card quarter it's just ridiculous. I'm upset 😞

We enrolled our granddaughter thinking this would be move up! We were wrong beyond belief. The order of operation if there is one is chaotic. Just today the school was closed with no notification. She is a preschooler & we see no effort to prep her in academics. I will make a formal complaint to the school, the board, & the state. This is a waist of resources. She will not remain here

Overall the truth is this school is terrible in my opinion. I sent my son to this school trusting the school would be good for my son and I was deeply disappointed. They changed the curriculum twice in the middle of the school year...(ALSO) my sons teacher left in the middle of the school year. Apparently the previous teacher new she was leaving and was just passing these kids along for two semesters. Therefore these kids did not receive a proper education for two semesters. There was no homework sent home and grades reflected great progress. When the new teacher came all of a sudden my son was failing.....I am greatful that the new teacher came because she brought these kids up to speed but unfortunately because he did not have her from the beginning of the school year his reading is at beginning stages of first grade....( he is not the only kid in this class with these issues) there are other kids suffering from administrative neglect and the only answer the school has for this is to hold him back. The assistant principal is NOT equipped for the job given to her she encouraged holding him back due to their failure of guidance to these teachers.They do not offer summer school. The teachers do not have to give out homework if they choose not to. The administration does not oversee the teachers to ensure they are giving these kids quality or even standard education. In general I am extremely disappointed (more like disgusted) and will NOT be sending my child to this school next year....it's a mess....His current teacher Miss. Harris is a great teacher but I am not confident there are many teachers there like her.
