Moonstone Manor is nothing short of magical. The property is beautiful, historic, and well-kept. The ROOMS, my god. They are better than the photos. We stayed in the Thaddeus room, and I felt like I was in a Victorian piece living like royalty.

We stayed in low season, and so we turned up to find that we were the only guests staying that night. Nevertheless, Wendy and Tom greeted us enthusiastically, gave us a tour of the property including all the different rooms, and cooked us a phenomenal breakfast. They were such gracious innkeepers, I was blown away by the hospitality.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathrooms are amazing. Fire crackling in every room. I truly cannot express how great it was. I will certainly be back here.

Only minor complaint (which isn't even their fault), is that the location is a bit odd. The manor sits in the middle of a bunch of warehouses and corporate buildings (Fedex facility right across the street) so as long as you don't let your eyes wander too far, you can stay in magic :-) It's also about 35 minutes away from Lancaster City, so just be aware if you are planning to go there and also stay at this B&B.

The landscaping was whimsical, I especially loved the water feature and the Willow tree.

Extremely impressed by this place. There are several of these wedding venues around the area, and I have been to several of them over the last couple of years. This one was by far the best one I have been at. The biggest thing I noticed here was the service and food was far above and beyond what I have experienced at any of the other venues in the area. Very well done. Absolutely recommend.

Moonstone was 100% the right choice for my wedding. Now I will say, if you don’t like the many things that can come with an outdoor very floral and woodsy venue (bugs, heat, rain, ect) maybe consider indoors. For me though, PERFECT. We used the chapel for the ceremony site and it did rain durning so that was awesome. The majority of any hard surface is stamped concrete and easy to walk on but the rest of the venue is going to be stairs and lawn. I wore converse for my big day so wet grad was no big deal to me. The entire staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I do wish they had a slightly better way to contact other than just a phone call or waking for an IM from the knot but overall communication was easy. Gina helped set up all the linens and silverware on the tables and ensured all those items were ordered correctly. Because we booked in 2022 we were given the pricing for that year despite them building a new reception hall and the price rising in 2023. The grounds are beautiful all times of the year and there is no lack of places to take gorgeous photos. As the bride I was able to get ready in the Anastasia room and overlook the venue and my guests from the balcony. The men got ready in the “man cave” also on site but removed from the women so the bride and groom don’t accidentally bump into each other.

We did stay the night in the Thaddeus Stevens room and it was just lovely. The breakfast we were given the next morning was just so good and balanced. Thank you to everyone who made our day run smoothly and beautifully!

We had an amazing time at the Moonstone Manor! Thank you so so much to the owner (Gina) and the innkeepers - Tom and Katie! Everything was wonderful! A yummy breakfast and the garden strawberries were delicious. Our bedroom was lovely and grand with a comfy bed. It’s a beautiful place! I will highly recommend the Inn to all my friends and family. You will be seeing us again in the Fall!

This is your sign to book Moonstone Manor for your wedding, trust me just do it. I wish I could give 100 stars. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, with great spots for pictures and also many different spots for ceremonies, but the staff is AMAZING. Before the wedding they were completely responsive and very helpful. But during the wedding they were helpful to the max.
On the wedding day, our caterer was due to arrive at 12. When they didn’t show up, the moonstone staff immediately came to me to make sure everything was good.
Before the ceremony, the moonstone staff along with both of our parents had found out the caterer had mixed up the month for our wedding and would be hours late to the venue.
They immediately stepped up, making the owner aware of the situation and calling in more staff to help in anyway possible. They called in a bartender for us and even served appetizers to our guests before the caterer arrived. Once he arrived, he didn’t have any of the staff he needed to cook and serve dinner. Moonstone stepped up here as well, helping the caterer with anything he needed.
This is just everything I saw them do at face value, I can’t even begin to imagine the hard work they went through in the background while me and my wife were getting ready and were still completely unaware of the situation.

To summarize for all the people that don’t like reading long reviews: When faced with a difficult situation that could have completely derailed our wedding day, the staff at Moonstone faced it head on and did every single thing in their power to make our day perfect.
