great drinks, unbelievable local bar atmosphere, and most of all top notch service
Jess is the best! She was so creative and catered to my specific taste. The tour was amazing! Zach has so much knowledge and I learned more than I thought I would. Their stills are high quality and unique. I wish I lived close enough that I could make Rr my hometown bar.
Y’all - unfortunately for me this was one of the last stops on my long weekend and I HIGHLY recommend you make it a priority. Absolutely incredible spirits and THE best cocktails. I’ve never had an espresso martini with bourbon but it was top notch. The gin fizz was delicious and to top it off the service was the best we had all weekend. Not only do I recommend stopping here, but I will be moving it to the top of my list of future trips and enjoying the bottles I’m taking home! Thank you, thank you!

Love this place! The drinks were so good. I got the clementine cool and he got some gin drink. Both of them were great. It’s a bit confusing to find the bathroom.
Republic makes an excellent rye! I recently bought it at a local farmers market. It tastes fantastic and is smooth enough to have on the rocks. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Giving it a 5 for the atmosphere and friendly staff.
Giving it a 4 for the spirits quality and cocktails
Definitely worth a visit

We stumbled upon founding spirits while walking around. They were unexpectedly short staffed at the bar and were still amazing. Excellent drinks, friendly staff. Great experience.
Absolutely outstanding experience. We were there to celebrate my last day of military service of 39 years, 7 months, and 24 days. EVA and JESSICA were amazing. They brought so much positive energy to an already great day with Mt family. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place and their drink recommendations for any celebration- large or small. So happy with our experince.

The cuisine at this place is absolutely incredible!! Due to its popularity, it's advisable to secure reservations or arrive early to avoid the crowds. The restaurant is located in a charming area, allowing for a pleasant stroll after enjoying a satisfying meal.

We really enjoyed this place. Drinks were very good. We also had the chips and dip appetizer and shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits were cold and different than what you would expect. Otherwise everything else was good. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.
Nice place to sample craft spirits. Wide open space converted into distillery. Staff is friendly in this Ivy City spot. Bright equipment accentuate natural light coming int he wide windows. Great place to start or wind down an evening.

If you're looking for something fun/different to do with friends visiting, family visiting - or just a different kind of boozy brunch with your weekend crew...this is the place to go. The distillery tours on Saturday are free - you can eat brunch after since it's in Farmers & Distillers, AND you can buy bottles from them directly. It's a pretty awesome one stop shop. The vodka is awesome, very smooth - and the Amaro is also a can't miss item (it's lightly sweetened with local honey from their apiary on GWU's rooftop - how cool is that?) Worth the visit. Cheers!

What’s not to love. Took the tour with close friends— we loved learning the ins and outs of this special place, experiencing the gorgeous setting during the tasting and we all left with bottles. American Whiskey has become our crowd favorite for cocktails, and the bottle/label is pleasing to the eye so is now my go-to gift!

My sister just brought a bottle of Founding Spirits Vodka on our family vacation. First time trying it and it was so good. Already bought a bottle online! Looking forward to doing the tour next time I am in DC.

If you haven't tried the Founding Spirits "Arroyo's Never Bitter" Amaro, do not walk, run to Farmers & Distillers right now. It is super delicious and great before or after a big meal. I've brought friends in to try it and everyone says they've never tasted something like this before. I've also purchased their vodka and American Whiskey which are both great. The label designs on the Founding Spirits bottles are also handsomely designed.
Attended the launch of their "Chapman's Apple Brandy"...the brandy...ultra smooth(as in VSOP smooth!). The ambiance is fantastic . Spacious, with lots of cozy spaces, and couches. The bar area has ample seating at the bar as well as table seating close by. Great crowd...I will be back.
