Top Ecuadorian restaurants in Yonkers, United States

Just tried food from this restaurant yesterday for Mother's Day. Normally my family and I order Ecuadorian food from another restaurant in Upper Manhattan but they were not available on the phone so we weren't able to place an order. Plus, their prices have slowly gone up over the years. I looked up other Ecuadorian restaurants near me and El Marinero came up in the results. I don't live far from Yonkers at all and sent the info to my family who called in and placed a pick up order. When we finally went to get our food everything was ready, nicely packed up and hot with these incredible scents coming from the bags! The young lady behind the counter was so sweet and came over to help us as I wanted to make sure everything we ordered was included and nothing was missing. Our platters included sopa de gallina, caldo de bola, seco de chivo, carne asada and humitas. There were sides of rice, mini salads, and beans included. I had the seco de chivo and it was very tasty! Big pieces of meat on bone, hearty fluffy rice and a slice of plantain. My family members enjoyed their food as well. Good thing I grabbed some menus for all of us because we will DEFINTELY be ordering from this restaurant again! Prices are affordable for such great food and also big servings! This is one of the first times I am trying Ecuadorian food and it was good nevertheless I will try other dishes next time. I asked for bolon with bistec and it was decent amount of food for the price, flavor was ok, staff was very friendly. I will go back to try other dishes

I ordered a churrasco grilled. She looked at me nasty & said 20 mins. I wanted to sit down and eat however her attitude towards me and my child is like “ why this black girl here “ . Ignore her because I been wanting to try them. No problem went to McDonald’s with my 6 year old cam back. Waited another 10-15 mins (30 mins total). Paid even tipped the waitress. When I arrived home I received over cooked thin sirloin steak with a fried hot dog on side with fries. I called to complain because I spent 25 on the meal. She tells me the meal is called churrasco . I said miss I love to cook, I know my steaks if I went to Argentina Colombia Cuba whatever a churrasco steak is skirt/flank steak. She treated me very nasty and even more insulted me trying to tell me that’s the name of meal not the steak. Whattttt Little did she know I love Colombian , Ecuadorian , puervian foods . My in-laws are from Ecuador. Just disrespectful and disappointing as well. Worst customer service and meal was horrible after waiting that line.

Love this food is not expensive and they have a package of lunch on weekdays 🙏

Went in there in hopes of getting good local food and it exceeded my expectations! The food was great. I had chaulafán with a soda and the meal had a lot of flavor, it brought me back home. The service was good and the lady was respectful. The vibe and atmosphere were good, although I wish they played more music, not just limited to salsa and the bathroom was in an awkward spot.

Overall, the food is great and you should try it if you’re looking to expand your taste.

Big portions! Reminded me of the food I had in Guayaquil. Very kind charismatic staff. Authentic Seafood dishes. Simple and good.

Great place for ecuadorian food. Very friendly staff. The food is delicious and looks home made. This place does not have a parking lot, but street parking is available and usually easy to find a spot. I love coming back to this place.

The food was good. Had a variety of plates. Not the best atmosphere, but it's downtown Yonkers, so I didn't expect to be wowed.
