Don’t miss this restaurant with wonderful local food speciality. Snails were extraordinary with a beer or a white wine. The grilled Octopus was WOW!

The food was bland, unseasoned and undercooked. Everything looked very good in the pictures but was disappointing and overpriced. We went there specifically for the bread and tomate soup and although it looked very good it only tasted like garlic which overpowered everything, even the jamon on top couldn’t be tasted. We also order prawns that were very overpriced, tasteless and small quantity.

Really disappointing food and service was not that great too.

Super authentic since 1971. Same decor and great food as when I lived in Placa de la Merced in 1997. Not a tourist trap, many locals eat here and it’s got the mezzanine as well if you want a little more privacy. Muchas gracias El Cortijo!

I´m not a huge fan of seafood and on weekdays the range of offers is a bit limited (because there´re fewer guests) but this place is absolutely worth to visit because of the supersweet waitress with long black hair (unfortunately I don´t know her name). She is kind and funny, and as a perfect waitress she gave us tips what to order. Sometimes she had problems with speaking in English but it just made her even sweeter as she tried to explain us everything in English. Best waitress ever! <3

Food absolutely terrible without any taste. Stuff pretty good but sometimes you have to wait more than half our for your order

No Booking. Waiting 5 minutes until a table was free, outside, enjoying la brisa marina. Lovely and funny staff. Has a wonderful dinner while enjoying the views of a nice park.

Went there straight from airport based on reviews and was not disappointed. Went again when leaving Spain and was happy again. Good location, when traveling by bus and really good seafood.

Great food, we struck lucky with this place. We originally queued up at another restaurant but the wait ended up being too long and the plaza was just too crowded. This restaurant however was off the main road but we sat outside where there were far less crowds. Delicious food, good service with English menus, fair prices and overall pleasant experience. Highly recommend getting the octopus.

Excellent and reasonably priced tapas at the counter. Photo of Meatballs, stuffed spicy peppers, beer and espresso coffee for Euro 11.60 On another day I ate upstairs and had the special of the house: Cod with crunchy garlic and potatoes, 2 glasses of very good white housewine followed by a delicious pudding with raisins soaked in sweet wine and espresso coffee Euro 27.60.

Our first time here, we followed other reviews on the internet. Cortijo de Pepe is a very nice place to eat in Málaga. Highly recommend! Good food from the grill, nice people, fast service, good price.

A small, a bit hidden, location off the tourist track in Malaga, close to the main bus and Maria Zambrano train station. Really friendly local service with authentic atmosphere. The food was fantastic, at least everything we tried. I'd say the best fried squids, calamares, I've had in my life. Crunchy, dry batter as if it hadn't been fried in oil, with sweet, fresh and juicy calamares inside...mmmm

The octopus is grilled over charcoal in the bar area; add olive oil, paprika and serve. Awesome!
Portions are generous so be careful not to over order.
This is one of our favorite places.

A very nice family run restaurant serving typical local food.
Very well priced. Not over run by tourists. Great cocktails.
Don't order the 5 tapas for 18 Euros:
Albondigas, Russian salad with salmon, chistorro, croquettes with ham and peppers padron. Each tapa came with potato or was made from potato. I didn't expect albondigas, pimientos padron or chistorro to be on a bed of fries. Dishes were cold and food was tepid. I've had more authentic tapas in London...and that's saying something. Spuds to fill up the tourists. I didn't eat the potatoes so I left very hungry as there wasn't much else to eat. Very disappointing.
I recently dined at El Huesca in Malaga, Spain, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance is very nice and cozy, with typical tavern decor. The service was remarkably rapid, attentive, and the staff was friendly. The menu offers a diverse selection for both meat and fish lovers, and the food quality is extraordinary, with fresh and flavorful dishes.
The beverage options are diverse, and I highly recommend trying their special homemade vermut – it's a must!
The cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant are top-notch, and the pleasant scent adds to the overall atmosphere.

The restaurant's location is behind the Cathedral of Malaga, in the city center and hidden in a small plaza, offers a delightful escape from the crowds in the old center.

In conclusion, I would wholeheartedly recommend El Huesca to everyone seeking delicious food and a delightful glass of homemade vermut.
It's a hidden gem in the heart of Malaga.
Nice Spanish restaurant. Lot of Spanish people. Food is really good and served really well. Service strange but nice. For sure i will recommend it.

Great traditional restaurant. Since years, they have been holding a place between the best in the city center.

Man weiß ja nie 😉

18€ für ein Hauch von Nichts und
dazu noch der komische Kellner 🤣😵‍💫🤣

Muss aber fairerweise sagen, dass das Essen und der Wein geschmeckt hat !
They have traditional Spanish food Cochillilo, which we wonted to try.

We wanted to try this restaurant but were quite disappointed by the quality of the meat
Moreover they are over priced. The other dishes were ok, a bit bland though.
There are so many other typical and better ones in the city.

Don't usually leave reviews, but this place outright insulted us and wasted our time.

We, a family of six, wanted some drinks and this restaurant was empty.

We sat at a table and the waitress took our order. Ten minutes later we were told that we had to buy food or leave. We left.

Probably the worst restaurant experience we have had. Surly, arrogant and insulting.

Go elsewhere.

La Cepa saved our evening! We had booked at a completely different restaurant who brazenly ignored us, even though they knew we had arrived. After 15 minutes we gave up and went to La Cepa. What a difference! Lovely, helpful, pleasant staff and service. Steaks were phenomenal, and cheesecake always goes down well. Wine was fab. Slightly pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for! Many thanks
La Cepa 😘
An amazing place, best sea food we had in Malaga; we went there twice and we loved it. They are specialised in tuna, and they really are. All the seafood is great! We really recommend this wonderful place!!!

Dani and Julia have been an amazing host, experienced, professional, helpful and extremely friendly! We follow their recommendation and we have eaten some amazing food. Well done and gracias Dani and Julia!!!
We will come here again

Very bad food. The avocado salad was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Furthermore, it consisted of only green salad leaves and avocado slices.

In general i like this place.Food quality is good but prices are a bit overpriced. Especially the avocado with lettuce.A few thin slices of Avocado (5-6) a handful of lettuce for 8€. This is just not acceptable and compared to other places with the same or better quality a rip off.

Great food, friendly staff, reasonable prices for the location. Service was fast enough. Place is clean. All credit cards are accepted. Some dishes were out of stock due to high demand so call ahead to be sure. Highly recommended.
