Top Traditional restaurants in Areni, Armenia

The hospitality is unbeatable and the food is no doubt one of the best I've tried in Armenia. I was very lucky to come across one owner's family birthday party. They kindly invited me for some wine tasting and share some of the fresh grilled rabbit meat. The wine here are very unique and smell different from many wine I have ever taste (coming from someone who tried decent amount of wine from different countries). I recommend this place and I recommend purchasing wine from here over the wine factory next door because it's a small family business wine maker with small production, while you can purchase the wine from wine factory next door in many other places.

Tasty food. But a little overpriced. When we arrived, there were not many options.

We arrived late to Areni and were looking for a place to eat - all seemed closed until they opened this place just for us, served us a delicious dinner and even prepared a wine tasting! They also offer cooling classes of local food for groups and are generally super nice, highly recommend stopping by for any of the experiences!

Amazing place to have a dinner at. The staff were incredibly welcoming (opened the restaurant for us despite our very late arrival) and serve very tasty food & wine. We ensued up buying several wine bottles for later!

Dare to come in or ask outside at the stand if it's open! The food is fresh and delicious. We had our best Barbecue so far and everything was freshly prepared. Although we arrived late, we were even offered a wine tasting in the cellar. Svetlana is such a sweet host. Enjoy the courtyard, draped in wine, and indulge in delicious home cooking.

We arrived late for dinner and they prepared for us an amazing food, their wine was so good! The family is very welcoming. We really loved it ❤️

Amazing place. All food is fresh and it cooked after you made an order. They show you how they plant grape. Also they make wine degustation for you while you are waiting for food.

The food is great. There is a vegan option too.
