Best local food around. Delicious authentic cuisine at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend anyone visiting to give this place a try!
One of the good nasi kandar around the town. Weekday non peak periods don't have crazy queue. Arrived at around 10+ and got my takeaway in about 10 to 15 mins. Nasi Kandar Ayam Goreng is RM9.50. Sotong is counter by piece. One piece RM9. Papadam is bit less and cost RM1.
Long queue, but the queue is moving fast. Service is good. Very reasonable price. Overall, it's worth it to try this if you are in Penang. Kari sangat padu.
Famous and delicious nasi kandar in Penang. The curry tasted so good. This is absolutely one of most delicious nasi kandar in Penang. Also cheap. It's surpass my expectation.
Nasi kandar in the middle of the night. You to brave with the Que of people. New working hours 9:30PM to 9:30AM. Cashier accept card payments and QR code too. Grab delivery also provided.
Curious about what queuing at popular late night nasi kandar in Penang feels like? I did.
Luckily, I arrived half hour before business open and got row no. 5, watched them preparing the tables, and right at 9pm very long queu tailing behind me.
Got my nasi kandar with fried chicken, sauteed cabbage, egg omelet and mixed gravy on MYR 11.
The service was good though, they took my order nicely, and no rush as the other stall.
My tounge told me the taste was delicious, as common Penang type, but couldn't get something special, honestly. They also fried the chicken too dry, in my opinion.
I am a local in Penang and work for a certain newspaper. The food in this shop is good, but the price is not halal. The food is not the same as the price list. It is recommended that people who come here to eat read the price list before ordering.
First time makan sini, not bad for nasi melayu.. utk dri segi makanan mmg sedap cuma ruang tu crowded sbb mmg ramai org makan sini..

For thos that looking for lunch, u guys can try here.. a lot of variety of menu that can suit ur taste..
I recently tried Nasi Kandar at a nearby restaurant and was absolutely amazed by the flavors and quality of the food. The spices were perfectly balanced in each dish and the portions were generous. The service was also friendly and prompt. Overall, I highly recommend Nasi Kandar for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal.
We were on the way to KOMTAR on 21feb walking along the street when we bump onto Pak Yusoff Nasi Melayu shophouse. Wondering why the long queue, so we enter the shop. Browsing through the delicious looking food display at the long counter. Looks good, must be delicious yeah! So with no hesitation, we join the line and get ourselves the sumptuous looking food.
Omg it was so goooood..... No regrets at all!
My greatest food adventure has begun!
We had ikan cencaru bakar masak kicap, ikan masak curry, terung and the whole lots.
Price is affordable. Will surely comeback again on my next Penang visit in the near future.
Up to your liking. For me, the crucial part of Nasi Kandar is the gravy. The mixture of different gravy, or individual dishes play a part to taste great.

Gravy - okay 3/5
Dish- 4/5 love the ayam bawang
Portion - 4/5
Price - 3/5 average
This place is a favorite among nearby workers for lunch. I'm here for their Nasi Melayu (Nasi Campur). Arriving early is crucial, due to limited seat available. The prices are quite reasonable, though it varies depending on your choice of dishes. Parking can be challenging for cars, but motorcycles face no issues.
Missing the recommendations to go early, we popped in just before closing as they clearing down but still received a friendly welcome and had a tasty selection of idli with fish curry, Dahl and fried chicken. Well satisfied
Reasonable price for nasi campur. Must try their own version of ayam goreng KFC and cendawan goreng.
Three things - go early, go early, and go early.

The flavours and spread of dishes here in this nasi melayu joint is amazing, and on a weekday by 1pm some of the best and most popular dishes are finished.

Prices are reasonable, and there's ample seating in the coffeeshop. Forget about weekends where you will have to Black Friday your way to the dishes with the tourists.

Legit 5 star spot!

This hidden gem is located at Traders Cafe on Macalister Road. Come early during lunch to get the freshest batch of food off the wok. You will be spoilt for choice! The shop is clean, the owners are friendly, and there is ample seating inside the kopitiam. This is probably my most satisfying meal I've had in awhile. Excuse me while I go into food coma now.
