Good equipment at the gym, but it gets crowded during peak hours, making it hard to find a machine. Going early offers a better experience. Overall, it’s a decent gym with helpful staff and a good range of machines.

Hands down my favorite gym that I've been to since moving to the city, and if I wasn't moving, I'd still be a member

E

Great teachers, super friendly. Made it easy to get started and fun to keep learning.

They have good equipment and it's usually pretty empty. The locker rooms are nice and the soap/shampoo/conditioner in the showers is actually pretty good stuff. The only downsides are
1) if you're into barbell lifting you're gonna have to bench and deadlift inside of a power rack, and there's pretty limited space so you gotta focus on not bumping into equipment during your lift. And
2) I hope you like house music because it is loud and it is constant. I hear it over my headphones so I can't even listen to my own music without hearing both songs at once. So every time I come here I have to stick to podcasts, with house music playing the background. (It's not even good house its like super repetitive minimalist house).
Turn down the music and get a proper bench press and I'd give it 5 stars

Love the coaches and overall community! Plus, the workouts are killer in the best way. Always changing, you can never get bored ♡

Honestly only worth it for the convenience. They hold fitness classes during the busiest time of the day (5-7ish) that take up the only free space in the gym and don’t have good weekend hours. They close at 8pm on Fridays - so I guess screw anyone that likes to work out Friday nights instead of drinking. I showed up at 7:30 and they locked the door? Close at 8 or don’t. Make up your mind.

Very happy to have found 410. Very welcoming community, challenging but scalable workouts, engaging and knowledgeable instructors, consistently different but progressive programming. If you want to be more active and improve your health, definitely check it out.

Never been a fan of going to the gym especially alone. So glad that I found Pure Barre. I love barre and I love this location. Parking is a part of the workout 🤣

Seriously love this gym! The coaches and members are all welcoming and encouraging, meeting each person where they are in their fitness journey and adding gradual individualized challenges/modifications to each movement. This atmosphere is why I’ve kept coming back over the past 4 years! :)

The best dance studio. They were able to get us ready for the first dance within a week of our wedding. They choreographed a dance that suits our religion, culture and portraying our love story in a very beautiful way! Thank you.

This gym is a second home to me! This is a place where you do not just get a workout in, but you get to meet an amazing community. The community has helped me become not just confident in my fitness abilities, but also in everyday life.

I love it here! I take a couple of classes weekly here, and it has been so welcoming. In the past few months I have been getting back into working out, and Federal Hill Fitness has made it a lot less “scary”. I am excited to keep trying more classes!!!

Excellent gym and owned by a guy who genuinely cares about the fitness of his members! I commute from several hours away to visit my girlfriend, so a regular membership didn't work for me. Matt has been extremely flexible and is always interested in getting us the membership that makes the most sense for us.
Class hours are great and there is a 24-hour access option.

Great place! Friendly & non-judgmental. Open to beginners. Many different class times with lots of great people. Definitely recommend.

Boutique gym with classes included with membership. Personal trainers available for additional $$$. This place is quality with a price to match, this is not Planet Fitness. All the basics needed in a gym. Gets crowded in the afternoons and evenings as the space is kinda small but they make good use of the space they have. This is not a crossfit gym, no tires to flip here.

I recently relocated to Baltimore temporarily for work. I really wanted to join a gym, and I am extremely happy I went with FH Fitness. Lin, the associate, was kind and attentive. The facility is spotless, and they have Peloton bikes! I am so happy with my membership. Just wanted to say thanks!
Only complaint: I wish there was more parking, although I am new to the area and probably not in the know regarding parking availability and I am horrible at city parking, not the club's fault (obviously).

I’m almost here every day!!! I love PB Baltimore so much ❤️ the teachers, “barretenders” and managers are amazing! If you’re looking for a fresh new workout (to great music) this is the place to be!!

We love it! We are taking lessons so when we get married it looks decent. We are getting more than what we payed for. They are teaching us a lightly choreographed dance to our wedding song and multiple dance types so we can go dancing more often. We were I’ll call it swaying in the living room before, but now my fiancé is happily showing off his new found knowledge of the waltz and other dances to friends. For a construction worker to be that comfy is saying a lot! We decided to make this our date night and it’s the perfect combo with a good meal and conversation after. Thank you so much Aurthor Murary!!!

PB Roland Park is like family! Everyone is so welcoming, the teachers are attentive & supportive , the theme days and fun incentives are a great plus! I’m new to barre but immediately fell in love with it! It’s tough but the burn is worth every minute !

Pure Barre Roland Park is THE place to be!! They offer three different class formats to meet all of your fitness needs and help you accomplish your goals. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and all-around amazing at what they do. Every exercise is modifiable as well, making it very safe and accessible for all, no matter your age, shape, or size including those recovering from injury and during/after pregnancy! They offer a Foundations class a few times a week that is designed for first-timers to get introduced to the technique in a personalized small group setting before attending a regular class. And it's free for your first time! Definitely don't wait to book a spot now, you won't regret it!

I love Pure Barre Roland Park! I've been a member here since I moved to Baltimore about 9 months ago, but I'd previously dropped in to take classes when I was in the area visiting. The instructors are great and helpful. I always feel like I get a great workout, but also like that I get to have some "me" time. I love that I am so in the moment in class that my mind doesn't wander and think about all the other things going on. I also have gotten so much stronger and feel better, both physically AND mentally. I would recommend attending a class here to anyone!

I only came for a few months before moving out of the area but I loved coming here. The gym and changing rooms were always clean and tidy and the atmosphere was great for working out. The mornings were never overly crowed and there are great flex spaces to do your own workouts apart from the equipment and weights if desired. When there was an issue with my billing the management was super quick to resolve it. All around a great gym.

I loved this box!!! I was out in Baltimore for a few interviews and was already scoping out where I want to join when/if I relocate. This box was soooo friendly and such a great space. I am excited knowing that I already found my Crossfit home in Baltimore. You will not be disappointed by the facility, equipment, coaching and community. I highly recommend checking it out!

The best fitness center for people irrespective of their level of fitness. This place is run by a strong team of knowledgeable and highly skilled coaches. I highly recommend this place for their high level of professionalism, excellent training, clear instructions, inclusiveness and personal attention to every member. By far THE BEST fitness center in Baltimore.

Dropped in to the new Clipper City CrossFit facility today and had a great workout - the staff and members were extremely friendly and inviting. The workout was challenging but accessible. A great spot for people of all fitness levels to have fun and get in shape!

There is Absolutely Nothing that I can say bad about MissionFit💪🏽💪🏽 It’s family oriented, clean, Outstanding services provided by qualified and certified Trainers that makes you feel good about yourself and wanting to come back for more!! So come in and enjoy a Yoga, HIIT, Personal Strength Training and much more! You won’t be sorry!!💪🏽💪🏽🏋🏽♂️🏃🏾♀️

Absolutely Amazing

I've been working out here since March 2017, and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. I have a really hard time pacing myself so group exercise classes are the best option for me, and these are the only classes I have ever been able to stick with long-term that have been challenging enough to make me noticeable stronger. The exercise is difficult but fun, and there are enough classes offered that I can go 3-5 times a week. The teachers are all professional, positive, and encouraging.

I dropped into 410 CrossFit for Memorial Day Murph. I'm grateful for their generosity and warmth in welcoming me into their space so I didn't miss out on an annual workout that is very important to me. A great community.

I love Pure Barre Roland Park! I go to classes 3-5 times a week and I would go more if I could! I started as a complete novice and the instructors were patient and willing to help me with my poses so that I could get the most out of the workouts. Everyone is so nice; instructors and check-in desk ladies learn your name after only a couple of weeks, which I appreciated a lot! Pure Barre offers a great workout with a great group of ladies (and a couple of gentlemen) and supportive community that encourages you to be your best self.

Great space, wonderful people, and a dedicated focus on spreading truly functional fitness and movement practices.

This is one of my all time favorite workouts!!! I started Pure Barre in September and I am so happy with my results so far! I love that the classes are high intensity, but still heavily focus on form and posture. All of the Pure Barre teachers at Roland Park are so helpful and care about you and your workout! Pure Barre is the perfect escape for college students looking to get into shape! Take take take Pure Barre at Roland Park!

Love the coaches, community, and workouts. First time doing CrossFit since moving to Baltimore and definitely picked the right spot. This box bucks all the usual stereotypes associated with CrossFit.

I've been going to Arthur Murray Dance in Baltimore for about 8 months and have had nothing but positive experiences since I joined. Arthur Murray has helped me immensely when it comes to feeling confident when dancing and would recommend their studio to anyone interested in learning dance. They offer a wide variety of dance styles, so there is something for everyone. All of the teachers there have been professional but personable. Tiffanie, my personal instructor, has been incredible. Her ability to balance critiquing without criticizing has been huge, especially for someone like me who feels self-conscious when dancing. Our lessons always are a ton of fun and take place in a very relaxed environment. Their have group parties on Fridays that always get a good turnout and gives you a chance to meet some of the other students as well as dance with other instructors. This is very helpful as it allows you to get another professional's perspective and a chance to learn something in a different way than your instructor may explain it as well as get to know the other students there. Arthur Murray is a quality dance studio and would recommend to anyone looking to learn dance in a fun, upbeat environment.

The dancers are very well trained and were both patient and supportive with me. I gained a better understanding for the varieties of styles of dancing and was able to select the ones that I wanted to focus on. They also include multiple avenues to socialize, debut and practice my skills weekly. The cost is steep but you definitely get what you are paying for! I could actually pass for a formally trained ballroom dancer now...not a professional yet though...Lol

I started MissionFit with the goal of creating a safe space for building community and confidence in Baltimore's youth through fitness training. The program has rapidly grown to include the training of future coaches who will give back to the community and strengthen the values of healthy grateful living. Dedicated caoches have driven the program, it's values and the students successes.

The lead instructor was great. My husband and I needed a lesson before our wedding and since we hadn't taken lessons in years, he provided us some basic steps and really put us at ease with doing our "First Dance" at our wedding. It turned out so well and we received a lot of compliments on how natural we looked. Since we usually looked very much beginners when we did ballroom dancing previously, we give our instructor a lot of credit for providing us with good instructions and making it fun too. We truly enjoyed our First Dance. Plus, the place is really nice and clean with parking available and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I have been coming for lessons for over 3 years! Fabulous group of instructors and other students. Great exercise and fun, too. My husband was never much of a dancer, but he gets complements now when we go out.

I wanted to dance so I went to check this studio out and just after my free lesson I got hooked. The instructors are very helpful and the owners a delight, they will help you in any way they can to learn and have a wonderful time. Well, if you are looking for a dance studio to learn, have fun and relax in a nice family like ambiance, then Arthur Murray Towson is the place to go. I love it there and recommend it to my family, friends and all of you out there looking for nice professional dancers! Give it a try, I promise you won’t regret it! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2016!

I can't say enough about Clipper City. I walked in for my first class at 6 AM in March 2014 and was welcomed with lots of friendly smiles and shouts of encouragement. The trainers at CCC are incredibly knowledgable, but even more than that, every single one of them care about each person in a class to dedicate whatever time is need - whether it be on how to scale down a movement or to discuss proper technique. I not only saw a phenomenal jump in my strength, I gained great friends. You just don't find that everywhere.

A wonderful box filled with wonderful people. Although Clipper City does a fantastic job of educating you about crossfit and helping you achieve your own personal exercise goals, the owner Matt Ropke has done an even better job crafting a work-out environment that is both friendly and welcoming. There is always ample instruction on every movement we do and a continuing education as the weighs get heavier. There is a legitimate sense of community amongst the members of this gym; they are hard-working, nice and encourage others to become a part of this place. They are a reflection of the owner and the general vibe that he specifically creates. Of all the crossfit gyms in the area, I feel that Clipper City Crossfit excels where other boxes struggle and is a wonderful place to call home.

I signed up at Clipper City Crossfit about 7 months ago. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. The coaches are very knowledgable and give helpful one-on-one advice to make sure your form is good so you're getting the most of your time at the gym. Clipper City Crossfit is located blocks away from The Avenue in Hampden with easy access to 83. It's in the lower level of the Mill Centre (plenty of parking - there's a parking lot next to the building). On the interior, there is a ton of space, plenty of equipment, and good tunes playing. There's a good sense of community with the people there too. Everyone is really supportive and will even cheer you on to help get you to the end of the daily workout. Also, CCC has special mobility training classes and monthly swim workouts at a nearby pool. Signing up at CCC was one of the best decisions I've made in a while!

Been training at Clipper City for about eight months. I hope to continue for a very long time, and here's why:
The coaches are friendly, motivating, and knowledgeable. The ratio of coaches to crossfitters is high, so there's always someone in your corner backing you up and making sure you're using correct form.
Folks from all walks of life are welcome, regardless of body shape, fitness level, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, dietary habits, etc.
If you put in the effort, the regimen will produce results - your body will look and feel faster, stronger, leaner, and more stable. I can see the changes in my teammates, and I barely recognize myself in the mirror (I have the before-and-after photos to prove it). Sit-ups and stair steppers are for the birds.
The workouts are challenging, short, and best of all, they’re fun as heck. Crossfit is the closest thing to a real-world video game: jumping over stuff, climbing ropes, and picking up heavy things, all while trying to beat your previous high score. Don't worry if you're not in shape - everyone works at their own pace. You're only competing against yourself.
The best part about his place? The people. Yup. It’s true what they say - nothing makes fast friends like doing burpees and squat cleans together. Clipper City’s crossfitters are a bunch of genuinely good-hearted and fun-loving folks

Great gym. Great people. Great location.
This gym is a diamond in the rough. It's located in a converted basement of the historic clipper mill, offering a unique entrance to what, I came find, was ample space for virtually any fitness activity I could think of.
I've been an athlete for a large part of my life and the workouts here incorporate equal parts learning, fun, and intensity. I'm always greeted with enthusiasm, end up identifying something to improve my technique, and most importantly find a place where I feel comfortable and end up leaving with a smile.
At the end of the day, picking a gym isn't rocket surgery, but surrounding yourself with a good group of supportive people is going to give you that sticking factor- giving you the leg-up you need to achieve your fitness goals, no matter how outlandish or modest they might be.
Plain and simple- I couldn't go to another gym and find a more sincere, happy, and helpful group of people who create a community that's welcoming to all ages and experience levels.
