Extremely dissatisfied. Buyer beware!!! Paid $50 for a whole week then if I wanted to extend for the month they are trying to charge me another $55 today then bill me $79 for the whole month again on top of that on the 17th. Makes no sense. . So to tan for 1 month in luxury beds it’s costing me a $185. Yikes.

The downtown location is awful the staff is unfriendly to their customers a they will scam you anyway they can with their shady membership deal. They purposely train their staff to misinform you regarding membership cancellation dates and act dumb when you question them about your membership. I’ve reported them to my bank and have taken further action BBB. I’ve also let members of my community to avoid this place they are not a honest business in our neighbourhood!

My first time at here! Bella was SO helpful. I had so many questions and concerns and she answered every single one thoroughly! I’ll be coming here from now on for sure. The place was really clean and the beds were nice and well maintained.
Kenzie has a great attitude and always remembers my name. She always see me out the window in the parking lot and has my info pulled up before I even get through the front doors. So helpful and friendly and that’s why I’ve been going to Beaches for over 10 years now.
The Murray location is awesome! I love all the bed choices and their customer service is great. No complaints at all !
This is a great location for tanning right after the gym. I have the sunless pass and get my memberships worth every month with spray tans and the red light. Kenzie at the front desk is always so friendly and welcoming!
I purchased a 10 pass for myself and my daughter. Every time we visited the person who assigned us a bed would tell us how many passes we had left. The last time I went, I was told I had 4 left and my daughter had 3. We always went together at the same time except there was 1 day that she tanned and I didn’t. We recently went in to use one of our free tans and we were told that we had none left. I was very upset at this conversation. Never again will I use beaches! They stole our tans ! BEWARE!
Absolutely love Beaches! Their staff is great and their beds are luxurious. Kenzie gave me the best tour of all the beds and was so fun to shop for lotions with!

i love the environment every time i go in beaches. it’s so friendly and i feel like im living my best life. all the girls are always so nice to me. Bella helped me set up my account not too long ago and the entire computer system was down so she took the time to write everything and follow up with me when the system was back up. so amazing. and Kenzie helped me pick some great products for the best tan. so happy with my experience and plan to keep going for a long time
Best Salt Lake County spray tan! I’ve tried a couple different spray tan locations and a few different services offered by The Glow Up Bar and it is by far the best every time! I highly recommend for all your photoshoots, upcoming vacations, or any reason you want to look and feel your best. She answered all of my questions and helped me understand how to make my tan last the longest possible so you really feel like you are getting your moneys worth
This location is one of the best and cleanest I've been to so far. Rachel and the staff were super courteous helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions about the different unit types and products. Thanks for your great service!

Great tanning salon. The employees are so kind and friendly. They have a new wave machine for massages that is so amazing. They have the red light bed and awesome tanning beds. I go to the Salt Lake City location and they are amazing. I highly recommend
Very professional staff. Was my first time in a tanning bed and I had plenty of questions. But Kylie was there to help out and answer them all. The welcoming attitude was a nice change of pace from the typical service that we consumers deal with lately.

Be aware, they will only start you at 6 minutes. Ridiculous. I have been tanning for over 20 years. I know what I start at so i dont burn. The floor needed to be swept too. The girl at the counter was nice though.
This is the best tanning salon! The beds are amazing but the staff is the best part! All of them are so nice but especially Emily and Stella. They are always so kind and happy and just make you feel special. Love coming here!
Kas is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your tan looks fantastic and I’ve been coming to her now for over a year straight. I adore her, best tan in SLC, quality ingredients, long lasting. She’s the best!
This was my first spray tan, and Kassandra was so nice. Everything was explained so well, and she put me right at ease. She was quick to respond to my initial inquiry, and the online booking was easy. I will definitely return the next time I need a tan.
I have not had a pleasant experience here since last summer. The downtown location used to have an incredible staff! However their staff reduced at the end of the summer (as I’m sure it usually does the girls look like they all went to school) to the point where it seemed like there was only one girl left. She was so sweet but seemed so burnt out as she was always there. I never understood why there wasn’t a chair for the girls to sit or why they would only have one person working during busy times.
After my favorite regular girl left, I canceled my premier membership and now come in for the occasional spray.
I recently inquired about my daughter applying and asked for an unbiased opinion on working there, and I was informed that the cameras in the salon are used to police the employees instead of protecting them and that if they were to speak freely, the manager would be listening.
This just put such a bad taste in my mouth, it seems they go out of their way to hire young pretty girls, just to take advantage.
The equipment is impeccable and it’s very clean, but the employees at beaches seem to be treated much better, it’s well staffed and when I asked them about employment for my daughter they all had glowing experiences about fun team bonding, the flexible work schedule and the great leadership.

If you go at a reasonable time I always have someone greet me- check me in and is super nice. As long as you are nice, they will be nice back. I love a company that doesn’t let customers be mean to their employees. I’ve always had an enjoyable time. Results are subtle but they are there! You just have to build it up. Thanks for a wonderful experience the last 5 times I’ve been. The beds are great and it’s always clean.
I love going to the sugar house location. The ladies that work there are so kind. Emily is amazing she always makes me feel so happy. and I love looking forward to going every morning to see her smiling face is the best way to start my day. Emily is an amazing employee and deserves to be noticed by the managers.
I have had A LOT of spray tans over the years and Kassi is by far the best spraying technician I have ever had. The tanning solution used is amazing! The color comes out so perfect, is long lasting and as an esthetician I appreciate how great it is for the skin and does not break you out. Kassi is so great to work with….she makes you feel so comfortable! I would give The Glow Up Beauty Bar a zillion stars if I could!
If you’re looking for a tanning salon with great equipment, knowledgeable associates and exceptional service, look no further. This place is incredible. Maddie is an absolute gem. Through my countless questions she is very patient and competent when answering questions about the equipment and products they offer. She could sell wood in a forest. I’ve seen it first hand. Also second hand. If it’s not bolted down in that place she could sell it. I can’t write enough good things about Maddie. I’ve been impressed with all of the associates. Sadie signed me up for my membership and pushed me to go diamond which I’m glad she did. Kenzie is so kind and inclusive. She always makes time for people while staying task oriented and offers a sea of knowledge. I love to tan but the people are why I keep coming back. Best part of my day!
I’ve been tanning at Beaches for about 5 years now and have tanned at almost all the locations. The girls at this location are BY FAR the sweetest and most knowledgeable.
One employee who stands out is Maddie: she goes out of her way to build rapport with each customer and knows a lot of them by name. She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and really just makes the experience seamless. Brooke has also helped me a few times and has been very sweet.
This salon is always clean and I, personally, have never had to wait too long for a bed to become available.

I just got done tanning here! Kenzie was so helpful and knowledgeable when it came to knowing exactly what bed would be best for me. She even recommended some really good tanning lotion! I will definitely be back!!
Emily was extremely kind, patient, and helpful with all of my questions. She is also very knowledgeable of the tanning lotions (why it’s needed and which one would suit me best).
Maddie was so great and made me feel welcomed. Her smile and personality could light up any room - She is the most exceptional woman I have ever had a customer experience with. I was not sure if I would ever get a membership but once Maddie showed me all of the different options… I knew I had to buy one. Maddie is by far the most amazing customer service person I have ever encountered. She definitely needs a pay raise for how absolutely breathtaking her work ethic is. A 10/10 would be an understatement. MADDIE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! She is carrying beaches by a landslide.
I wish I could write a book about how SPECTACULAR… Maddie is - she is the only reason I tan at this location. She makes me so happy and always remembers every customer that walks into the store. I love everything about her. She is great at sales but is never pushy. She really cares about what is going to benefit the customer and I absolutely adore that. LOVE MADDIE!!!
I used this tanning place for years. Lately everything changed. They do not change their bulbs as often as they used to. I used to come here and get clear signs of a tan from the first session, I'm white so my chest would at least turn a little red from the first session. Last time I came here, there were no signs of a tan the first day or the second day, so I came back to inform them that the tanning bed is not working and redo my tan for free. I drove all the way from Sandy at 4 pm on a Thursday when their website clearly states that they are open. They were closed, I call the other branch that is indicated on the note they left a the door, the manager picks up, says they had shortage of staff and unable to open during regular business hours. After explaining the whole situation to her she kept telling me that the beds are perfect and there is nothing wrong with them and that I need multiple sessions to show tan and I kept explaining that I understood that but the first session will show slight sigs of a tan. After going back and forth for 10 minutes. She was so difficult to deal with and not understanding and said that she would rather lose me as a client and all the friends that I have been refering to avoid offering me a free tan to make up for the bad one I had the day before. This manager clearly knows nothing about running a business, customer service or keeping clientelle. She needs to be fired! I am now going to another tanning bed that I have been to twice before and was great. Switching to Secret Beach on 4550 S 900 E.
Kassandra is the best!! I’ve had trouble in the past getting as dark as I like to be, and she nails it every time. Super competitive prices and I won’t be going anywhere else! She’s sprayed me for a few different special occasions and I couldn’t be happier.

Kassi has been nothing short of wonderful while looking for my new airbrush tanning home! I recently signed up here at this location on 7/11/23. I first called the day before and spoke to Stella over the phone. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The next day when I came in I was able to tour with her and sign up. Stella was even more pleasant in person. I am very impressed by the customer service here with the staff and their knowledge of the best plan for each individual person. I would absolutely recommend becoming a client here.

Denied service although I was there 14 minutes before close for a 7 minute tan and the bed was empty, yet they said they were already closed. Very poor customer service.

It also fades beautifully. Ashley is super kind and makes you feel very comfortable. She will ask you how you dark you want your tan to be and works very hard to give you the exact color you want. I highly recommend Ashley! I’ll never go anywhere else.

Ashley is the BEST, I’ve gotten tanned here for years and I won’t ever go to anyone else. She’s fast, efficient, and the tan lasts for 2-3 weeks. Its always perfect with no streaks or patchy areas and the color is so natural looking. I’ve tried to do self tanner at home and it always has an orange tone. This is so much easier and it’s very affordable. Highly recommend!

The decor feels dated and eclectic but the machines I’ve used work excellently. Friendly staff. I usually go late mornings and it’s been low traffic and easy to get right in. Pricing seems fair and competitive.

Rain was SO INCREDIBLE. I got tanned before my wedding and she by far, did the best job out of the 4 different tanning locations I have been to in the last year. I did several tans in the months before the wedding to determine best product/color along with how that color developed and faded in the days before I needed it. I was coming from out of state so found Rain in a google search. I was so lucky that I found someone as talented, and caring as Rain. She talked with me about what I had experienced and her process. Then was hands down, the nicest and most professional job I had. I highly recommend Golden Kiss airbrush tanning!!!!
Really great spray tan. My first and I was pleasantly surprised how good it looked. Rain did a great job, and wow she was just a sweetheart! Very nice comfortable experience from start to results!

It’s not very often I leave reviews for places but I really have never had a bad experience here and I’ve lived around the corner for 15+ years and have been coming here on and off since I could remember. I’ve been to other tanning places, I’ve had memberships elsewhere, but the quality of their beds is what makes this place so awesome. The beds are always in perfect working order (not missing bulbs or face tanning not working), it’s always clean, and they always have the highest technology in their beds (I think they sell beds around the country?)
Hands down my favorite tanning place and the only thing that sucks is they are closed on Sundays but I will gladly work around that to come here.

Rain made me feel comfortable and at ease during the spray tan process. I would highly recommend her for a spray tan.

I have never felt more disrespected by an owner in all my retail experiences, and my dad is a local shop owner. He would not talk to me about how disgruntled I was, nor did he ever get back to me on any of my concerns. This tanning salon changed my membership on two separate occasions with no notice. In January they started charging extra for spray tans when prior to that date with my membership (I only purchased for that reason) they had been included. Once again this same place limited the spray tans to twice a week last month with no notice to their membership costumers. This last saturday I went in to tan, and my membership had been canceled without any record of me canceling because I never canceled. I felt personally attacked not only by the owner, but also by his employee he should never let talk about to an upset costumer with snide comments. IT WAS THE RUDEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN ALL MY LIFE IN ANY RETAIL SITUATION. The boss DOES NOT VALUE your business, and thinks he is a big deal because he is a distributor to the other tanning salons. He will brag about it every time you come in, but never have time to settle a dispute. I would rather not be pushed around by a tanning salon that doesn't respect people. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE IF YOU VALUE RESPECT FOR YOURSELF.
