It doesn't deserve a single star. I have waited for more than 5 years, and finally last year they started asking me for documentation. Even though they don't give you much help to bring the documentation, because they ask for so much information and the agencies don't give you this information the next day, some take up to 10 business days, even though I sent everything on time, they sent me a letter in December that he had not sent the information on time. I sent everything by certified mail, and filed a report with USPS, and they assure that they did receive the documentation, they asked me for documentation again in December, and in less than 9 business days they want everything, they don't care that they are holidays, and Make it harder to get everything, but still get everything done on time. And I had the feeling that they wanted to deny me, because they want it, when I received a letter telling me not to bring the complete documentation on time, which is a total lie, and that I have 10 business days to appeal, but if I appeal I must Wait 6 months for them to review it, and if you do, apply again. I tried to communicate with the person in charge of my case, and her supervisor, but it is almost impossible to talk to anyone, it seems like they don't want you to get section 8, not even a bit of patience. Super bad service.

Staff is amazing, especially mrs Garcia.she helped me fill out my papers and also regersted me from my cellphone to get proof of payments needed from child support. I had such a positive experience and was treated with such respect. She also is arranging for my case to be transferred from out of state to Anaheim to make it easier for me to do things required. I prayed for help and God sent me to the right person. She is a angel. Every housing specialist should learn from her and do things the way this location does.

I am forever grateful for Anaheim Housing Authority. I went from being homeless to getting my section 8 voucher in 4 years. Adolfo is a great housing specialist! He quickly responds to my emails or phone calls and calls me back if I leave a message. He also processes all my paperwork in a timely manner and answers any and all questions I may have about my case. I only wish that there was some type of help or assistance for first months rent or security deposit for those like myself who need to move from a 1 to 2 bedroom. Having no credit makes the security deposit really expensive and even with mine and my husband's combined income were still struggling to come up with $4350 deposit and that's not including first months rent.

If you have to deal with these people, go in person. If they say the person you need is busy, STAY and WAIT. If they say leave a message, they probably are at lunch. They just want to get rid of you. If you go in person, they CANNOT. This is one of the worst places I have ever dealt with in my life. Good Luck!

No one responds. Been trying to contract housing specialist for days now. Rent got raised and suppose to let them know but no one answers or calls you back. Frustrations peaked

Inept. Inefficient. Highly incompetent. Left them 3 letters. They didn't even have the decency to respond. Your typical government bureacracy and red tape. (I wouldn't even put discrimination past them where they play favorites for certain ethnicity whom they give preferential treatment....Heck I will spell it out. Hispanics. After all the manager of our complex runs to hug people of their own race but extremely rude ot us.)

Filled with gatekeepers and automated phone where you cannot even reach a live person.

The reason they can do that because they know we need them, we are desperate and our hands are tied lest we are homeless.

And this is supposed to be United States of America.

I'm happy that they exist , however I must question their work ethics because it is next to impossible to get a update on progress. Maybe they aren't making any or my file is sitting in a pile on someone's desk who. Does every thing but. Show up to work. It's no wonder the homeless population is growing out of control with the. Lack of interest in helping people get the services they need to get back on their feet. I applied for emergency assistance from Aha and submitted all the required info for both tenant and landlord and still not a word. I even verified that they received the. Paperwork and they have still nothing meanwhile my friend is at risk of becoming homeless while these employees do little to no work. I know the program is federally funded and I'm sure the city of A has gotten the funds from the federal end so why are they not distributing them as they advertise.
