Chicken was very dry. Green beans were saturated in oil and fried rice didn’t have any taste. The establishment was clean, but I will not be returning, given the quality of the food and the price. Made my stomach hurt pretty bad.
A large group from our church showed up to Peru Gourmet with over 30 people. Their staff was amazing and served our group amazingly. We had multiple split checks and ordered a lot of food. They were kind, gracious, and attentive, and the food was spectacular. The best Peruvian food in Houston.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Chicken was really tasty (though light on those Peruvian spice flavor). The beans were excellent along with the yuca (which was just ok) and plantains. Had the non spicy sauce and it was super flavorful. Staff was super nice!

I really wanted to love this spot after seeing all the amazing reviews! But sadly I was let down. Their “large” sides are fairly small compared to other Peruvian/Rotisserie Chicken restaurants I have tried. The flavor of the chicken itself was okay but unfortunately some of our chicken was raw :(

I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious, and there was a good amount of flavor. I would have liked it to be a little on the spicy side but even without that, I still ate it all. Great service. I ordered the bistec a lo pobre. I don't know what my friend ordered, we both enjoyed our meal.

Food was exceptionally delicious. The portion was plentiful for the price. The empanada was much more filling than I expected and not greasy at all. Definitely a place to recommend.
Best peruvian restaurant we found in Houston. Tríes different distes. ALL great.

First time trying Chic Houz on Park Row and I was very impressed with speed of service and quality of food. I ordered Churrasco sandwich with Yuca fries and cheese empanadas it was just amazing. Beef tenderloins was perfectly cooked in the sandwich. Everything was cooked fresh and to order. I will be going back to this place again.

The worse food I have ever had. Please stop saying you serve Peruvian food that was soooo bad. I ordered aje Amarillo …. It was shredded rotisserie chicken with boiled potatoes and a watery sauce. Just something put together. Please please do not come here and except real Peruvian food. They should be ashamed to put Peru on anything. I can’t even tell about the rest of the food because it was so bad. So disappointing.

The entire experience was terrible. The food was pretty miserable. We had at least a party of 15+ people, and not a single plate that came out that kitchen was hot or warm. We ordered empanadas, and they came out within 30 seconds, it was cold and really dry. Ordered a rice plate with meat, the only thing that was served hot was the French fries. Everything else was cold and gross. Drinks are highly overpriced. Music is way way too loud and the design of this restaurant is no good. I do not recommend this place at all. Please if you do drink, beware of the cup, and make sure it’s clean.
Amazing ! Our 1st time eating Peruvian food 🇵🇪, totally recommend

I really like the variety here compared to other similar Peruvian roasted chicken restaurants. The flavors are good and I really like that the special Peruvian sauces are out and available to you at no additional charge. The service was fast and friendly. I've tried the burrito and the churrasco sandwich and they were both good. I would definitely come back to try their other items.
Stumbled upon this hidden gem today. As a Peruvian I’m so glad I have delicious pollo a la brasa ten min from home. We ordered a whole chicken combo today and have plenty leftover for tomorrow. I did not get a pic of the food because my order was takeout and we scarfed it down when I got home. 😅

I'd give the food zero stars if I could. Every single dish we ordered was insipid. No flavor at all. My 5 year old can make tastier Peruvian food than the chef at the lemon tree! Do not waste your money there! Super disappointing!

Ordered the Ceviche which is overpriced for the amount of fish that comes on the order, there was more homini, yam and dry yellow corn over a bed of lettuce; I even found a long black hair, not mine, I wear it short in the fish. Service was poor by the waitress/cashier who lacks good manners. On the other hand, the place is nice where a group of people was having fun, other than that, you can find better Peruvian restaurants in Houston.

Such an amazing place! We enjoyed the parihuela soup and the paella. I also hear the arroz con calamares is good with the squid ink. You can tell the locals love it!
I really love the food here it’s always consistent and very flavorful.

I had the Tallarin Salgado con Pollo which was amazing. The vegetables were crispy and the noddles weren’t overcooked.

My husband had the Chaufa Especial the flavor is so good you can’t stop eating it.
#JoeFoodTour authentic Peruvian food. The causas (potato dish) and the ceviches are amazing #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes #LivingLifeInHouston #upperkirby #WestUniversity #SouthsideArea #77005
Amazing food. First time to eat Peruvian food and loved it. Owner was super nice
Small place but seems to be hosted by his owner, cozy atmosphere, good price and AWESOME! Soup of fish and shrimp! That they call “Chupe de Camarón “. Ohh my Goodness! Try it and thank me later! If you’re hangover this will bring you back to life!

Chick Houz is a hidden gem for Peruvian rotisserie chicken, and despite a few hiccups during our visit, the food truly stood out. We arrived just 30 minutes before closing time, and it seemed the staff was eager to wrap things up. They started mopping the floors and cleared the sauces even before we finished our meal. The music was a tad too loud for comfortable conversation, and there was a fair amount of cleaning and trash removal happening while we were dining. While I understand that we arrived close to closing time, it would have been nice if they had allowed diners a bit more time to savor their meals without feeling rushed. However, I must emphasize that the food itself was absolutely delicious. The Peruvian rotisserie chicken was a standout, and the flavors were on point. Despite the minor inconveniences, I would return to Chick Houz for the mouthwatering cuisine.

I was craving some Peruvian food and I ordered online. As I arrived to pick up my order, one of the cook asked if I wanted rice on my order of lomo saltado and I was a little confused since it comes with rice and fries. Anyhow I added an order of plantains and yucca so I just assumed restaurant usually don’t get online orders. Once I got home to eat my lunch, I noticed I didn’t get no fries with my lomo saltado but the meet is actually really good and its flavor full. However I asked for it to be spicy but it wasn’t spicy at all. The 2 extra sides I order the serving size was so small. Last but not least I have also ordered papa rellena and it was so greasy and oily, it wasn’t edible at all.

We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday at Latin Fusion, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found the perfect place to celebrate. As my wife is Colombian, we were on the hunt for a restaurant that could provide us with an authentic Latin experience, and Latin Fusion exceeded our expectations.

The food was not only delicious but also a true representation of Latin cuisine. The service was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to ensure that our celebration was perfect. The music added a fantastic atmosphere to the evening, and it truly felt like we were transported to a Latin paradise.

I must mention David, the new owner, who was absolutely phenomenal. He went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our celebration was taken care of. His dedication and passion for creating a memorable experience for his guests were evident throughout the evening.

Overall, Latin Fusion provided us with the complete Latin experience we were searching for, making my wife's 50th birthday celebration truly special. We can't thank David and the entire team enough for their outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend Latin Fusion to anyone looking for an authentic Latin dining and celebration experience.

I used to work in the neighborhood a few years ago but never thought to stop by this place. Last weekend I had a chance to visit as some friends organized a get-together in the place.

We arrived at about 7pm and the place already looked full. Parking was very difficult to find -there seems to be enough spaces for a restaurant this size but the lot was already almost full. There must be some other business in the building that needs parking at night.

The food was just okay but the ambience and the service were great. The music went from a DJ playing the audience favorites to sometimes him holding the mike and singing for us. Most of the diners were Latin and one group seemed to be composed of very fun and lively middle-Eastern people, so the music was salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, vallenatos, with some fan favorites Arabic music from the 1990s and 2000s thrown into the mix. There was a lot of dancing going on.

Now, back to the food. A quick survey among our party showed mixed reactions to the food. Some thought it was good. Mine (fish and shrimp in parsley sauce) felt a bit bland. Another friend ordered breaded seafood and she was separating all the bread from her food because she felt that "it came from a can". My wife had the weirdest reaction. She ordered the beef tenderloin in mushroom sauce and halfway through her plate she lost her voice! It was as if an allergic reaction just stopped her vocal chords in their track!!! She stopped eating and after about 15-20 minutes her voice slowly came back. (The beef was also tough to eat and drowned in too much sauce. It was visually unappealing.)

Our server was very attentive. She checked on us every few minutes and the orders were correctly filled. The bill however includes a 20% "service charge" (also known as a "tip"), so keep that in mind when you pay your check.

All in all, it was an enjoyable visit. Except for the food, of course, which, because it is a restaurant, seems to be an important factor to keep in mind. Alcohol is BYOB. We did not order any desserts. The final bill was about $25-28 per person, including the above mentioned service charge.

It's my first time visiting, and i got the best experience. A good place to bring the family. Live music, amazing customer service. Best place for celebration.
We discovered this gem through a friend. What a great find. The food is incredible. I experienced a dish of fettuccine with tenderloin, tomatoes, onions and spices cooked in a wok. What fantastic flavors of food combinations. This is by far my favorite. The Ceviche does not disappoint. There are various selections. The appetizers are plentiful and delicious. The desserts are in house made and phenomenal. Tres Leche is divine and don't pass up the upside down flan. Treat your tastebuds. Chips and sauce is fantastic. If you aren't sure of the translations the waitress is happy to educate you. One of my new favorite restaurants and we definitely will return. Ask to have the red corn drink it is phenomenal.

It was my first time eating Peruvian food, so I asked the waitress for recommendations. I had the Pasta Huancaina with Beef and the Chicha Morada. It was delicious! The drink was such an interesting flavor experience. I loved it!

Definitely coming back to try their other dishes.

Visited Latin bites during an event, it’s an interesting place.

Tried a couple of their cocktails, which were quiet different and refreshing from what I’ve had till now.

The sit out section looked classy and the tables well spaced.

The waiters were sharp and attentive.

Would recommend for an experience of you are new to Peruvian cuisine.

The food is terrible. I appreciate the attempt to some extend but as a Peruvian I can say that this is one of the worse places I have tried. Tasteless, overcooked and the rice, which is a huge component of Peruvian food, was dry and just bad.

I feel sorry for leaving a bad review of any restaurant in general but this is an extreme of bad.

On the positive, The servers were very nice.

The service was superb! Place is clean and food is delicious! I was here just for a snack in the afternoon and had empanadas and plantains. Probably the best beef empanada in Houston! It was delicious. I would be back for a proper meal next time. Thank you!
My first time tasting Peruvian Food and this place did not Disappoint at All - It's real Good n Delicious Food 😋😋
The food was just average at best and on the pricey side for the location and atmosphere. The chicken didn't have much flavor while the empanadas were decent. The food court/cafeteria setting just makes it hard to spend that much on food.

I was graced into this establishment with the utmost comfort feeling. I am not Peruvian in any way but I am a Connoisseur when it come down to it. We were brought chips and dip, when I tell you this is the best chip and dip that has ever graced my tastebuds with such a strong presence. Now the beautiful waiter her name is started with a d, she is an absolute Angel, she explained everything to us and made sure we were comfortable. Now for the start of the show THE RICE, the rice will… I don’t even have words, it will kill you because it that good send you to heaven and come back down to take another bite. I thank god a luck for finding this hidden gem. I will be back that for sure. If you want to try something new I strongly urge you TRY THISSSSSS it will not disappoint. May god bless this restaurant and it’s workers-Trinny M
This place is a must try for Peruvian food. Their happy hour specials are a great deal
Definitely try the blueberry margarita 😋. The ceviche, empanada and beef skewers are my faves. Diego provided excellent service to top it off. Great spot!!
Andes Cafe was delicious and certainly made me feel as though I was in South America. The prices are a little high and with plentiful other options, if you’re willing to pay, this is a great spot for some South American flavors!

I know we, peruvians, are very proud of our cuisine and demand flavors to be as similar as our mom's or as we eat when we visit Peru, this place gets close to that. I really enjoyed Papa a la huancaína, Seco de Res and Aji de Gallina, service was great. I agree some dishes may need some extra salt but easy to fix, I've been to places where dishes were too salty making it very unpleasant to enjoy. Got the chance to talk to the owner who told us a little bit about his restaurant. Next time I'm in Houston I'll definitely visit Peru Cafe again. Prices are very reasonable.

I went with my family hoping to try Ecuadorian food.

The customer service was okay, but the beef and potato empanadas were hot on the outside, the beef was cold on the inside.

The corn Patties w cheese (arepitas) are nothing like authentic arepas, super hard and hard to chew, the smashed green plantain (tostones) were very greasy.

We ordered roasted pork leg (hornado) but the pork did not have flavor. It was not what we expected 😓.

The only thing I liked was the stir fry- beef (lomo saltado) from Peru and the chicha morada. In addition, we had a reservation for 9pm but we didn't have time to eat in peace since they closed at 10 pm and at 9:45 pm they were already in a hurry saving everything and giving us the bill.
Hidden Gem!!! This restaurant is delicious!!! So many authentic plates to pick from. My husband got Lomo Saltado, I got Pollo Saltado, empandas de carne y queso. Kids got Salchi papa and it was all amazing. So much flavor in every plate and everyone enjoyed it. Don't let the small restaurant fool you! Super Delicious. Will be back again soon!
Server was very attentive and had great recommendations. First time having Peruvian food. Ceviche cup was huge. Imo, I liked the corn, plantain, sweet potato and the fried fish was good but felt it was missing something. The tallarine chicken pasta was a bit salty and the veggies n noodles were cooked well. BF said chicken was stringy. Lomo Saltado sauce was a bit salty as well. Beef chunks were cooked medium well. Fries had the perfect crisp to them. Peruvian friend said it isn't as good as it use to be. I thought it was good :)

Parking lot is small and depending on time/day, it could be a headache. Thursday afternoon (4ish) was not bad.

Bathroom (womens) was clean.
Second time in this restaurant and it was the best experience. Food is the best and the drinks were good. The Chaufa and Pan con Chicharrón were especially the same as in Peru. Shout out to the chef that made this food. 5 stars

I have been eating here for years, it is a good reminder of my 6 years in Peru. Food is not like what I used to eat in Peru but it is an excellent “approximation”. I had fish with carpers, always very good. And my Peruvian friend had a ceviche, very fresh and tasteful according to him. I will always return…

We were looking for good authentic Peruvian food and we definitely found that here. To start my husband and I shared the ceviche mixto which was so so good. For entrees we had the tallarín verde and the ají de gallina which were both finger licking good! Also I highly recommend the chicha morada and flan which are both homemade. Food was very delicious and authentic. Shout out to the owner Carols who was very welcoming and sociable. We will definitely be back.

The gentleman taking my order slyly blew through the tipping screen as fast as he could, providing for himself a maximum tip% assuming I wasn't paying attention. This is not a full service establishment and does not warrant 20% or more tip without providing any service as of yet. Should amazing service be provided, I will consider a tip after my meal, but not on the outset for simply selecting buttons to place my order to the kitchen. Removing two stars due to deceitful service.

Beyond this my experience was very good. The food was delicious.

I worked in Peru for almost a year and have tried for years to find good Peruvian food in the United States. I've found some that came close but never any that matched how good it was in Peru.... Until today. My favorite Peruvian meal is lomo saltado and while there places in the US that make it, no one before tonight could seen to get it right. These folks nailed it and then dinner. On a scale of 1-10 it's a definite 10. To top it off they even had my favorite Peruvian drink frozen maracuya (passion fruit). Even this was on authentic Peruvian levels. I've tried to find good Peruvian food in 13 US states and Canada unsuccessfully. I live near San Antonio and was in Houston today donating white blood cells to a cancer patient. To find the best Peruvian food I've found in the US really turned my frown upside down. I had to call my wife and tell her, " I found it! I found real Peruvian food in the US here in Houston" the prices were a little steep at $22 per lomo saltado plate but it was so worth it. Service was very good as well. Or waiter came to our table multiple times and was very polite. Atmosphere was good and the place is very clean. If you can stomach the prices, i can't recommend this place enough. It's off the charts good.. I'll be going back for sure next Houston trip. 10/10 and I've only given 10/10 twice in years of reviews. Excellent!!

So.....
I remember I saved this place because one time I went to [contigo Peru in Georgia]
And I was craving Peruvian Rice, honestly so disappointed.
Bad bad bad bad customer service, I feel like they need to train their people .
I went in, and I told the lady it was my first time visiting the restaurant. I don't know how to describe exactly the feeling.
She just told me to sit right there.
Food , overpowering with garlic,
I'm so disappointed.
Not the best, but not the worst. Food was decent, but the rice on both dishes was dry, tough to chew, and flavorless, I think I would've given them 4 stars if the rice was good. The lomo saltado's beef was great, it had a good flavor and was cooked medium (without asking, but just how I like it), but the onions were not crisp and the tomato was overcooked, the fries were ok, typical frozen fries. The pescado a lo macho's flavor was decent, but the sauce was very watery, not creamy at all. The ceviche was not the best, it needed a tad more salt, and it was a bit too acidic, not sure if they squeezed the limes a bit too much. The chicha morada was excellent, had the right amount of sweetness.

Also, nothing to do with the 3 stars, but parking is terrible, not enough parking spaces.

Our meal was very good here. I remember it used to be in a different location, but the restaurant is still great. Ceviche was incredible. We got the sampler and it didn’t disappoint. Fish was fresh and delicious.
Meat was excellent. Our meat sampler plate was also wonderful.

Two improvements that I can recommend is the availability of Plantain Chips for the Ceviche and use less salt. Otherwise everything was very good

It was a great experience having a new food but it taste familiar and just delicious..

Great services..
Very pleased with our experience! The server was super friendly & the food was amazing. For our drinks we had pineapple juice which is made fresh & it was delicious. For food we had ceviche which was very refreshing with a good amount of spice. We also had aji de gallina and arroz chaufa. For desserts they had a plethora of options but opted for the pastries they had displayed- the pionono & alfajores. Definitely worth trying!

The chicken is good but the salad lettuce had dirt which means it was not washed. I took a bite and was horrible to chew. It was on several pieces of lettuce. Also, the chicken is not thoroughly cooked. Very disappointing as this meal is expensive. There seems to be hygienic issues in their preparation process.
Hope I don’t end up in ER because this meal. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I am super stoked to have found this small yet flavorful place! I love Peruvian food, especially the ceviche. We ordered everything from the tequenos, empanadas, ceviche mixto, and the Lomo saltado. First off, the empanadas were full of beef and juicy. I have had empanadas at other placed where they skimp out on the beef and stuff more potatoe than anything-this was not the case. The Ceviche was finger licking good. Lastly, the Lomo was so soft and tender. Very impressed with the amount of flavor they packed onto each plate. I wish I would have gotten dessert but honestly, I was stuffed.. Guess now I have another reason to come back. Try them out! Also be patient, they were super busy but worth the wait.

“Simply Delicious”… True gourmet sea food… Mixtures of techniques and flavors, cultural aromas of preparation with products that take you on a journey to the depths of feeling and enjoying what you see and eat prepared in front of you, with the energy of the Chef transmitted with experience and culinary talent, fresh multicultural to your palate. Excellent price-quality ratio for this secret Ceviche Bar, inserted in the center of the Houston Downtown. Its strategic location within this bustling and saturated urban space, protects the harmony and the environment to taste without problems the modern marine environment of the place. The select wine very agreed to enjoy without invading or removing prominence when feeling the taste of the sea. Beautiful decorative cultural details accompany you enhancing your comfort, giving elegance to the restaurant.
The seriousness and professionalism to reserve allow real beginners to select and filter what they really want to enjoy. As a Gourmet from the country with the longest Pacific coasts in the world and great abundance or variety of seafood, I recommend this place 100%.
I had arranged to come to this place a couple of years ago. The visit was not in vain. The dishes have an excellent presentation and the flavors keep their typical secrets. I'll come again to try the Ceviche. An excellent service at all.

This is our second visit to Andy’s café. We made a reservation because we wanted to try the “ceviche bar.” The food tasted good, but the ambience and service were terrible. First, this is not a ceviche bar. Food bars are where you actually interact with or at least can see the food during its preparation. This is simply sitting uncomfortably at a hemmed in counter with the food apparently prepared in the kitchen and plated on the other side of the counter, which we couldn’t see. The Ecuadorian decorations were nice, but really the only thing of interest at our seats. Sitting in a row like that with a solid counter in front of you is uncomfortable for a party of three and there is simply no reason why this could not have been served at a table. So we were disappointed from the start. Then, the advice on food quantity that was provided while we were ordering was simply inaccurate. The appetizer was entrée size and should have been shared among the three of us. We were advised that it was small and individual. That led to wasted food since we each ordered a full appetizer and entree ceviches as required for ceviche bar reservations. The ceviche itself and the appetizer were quite tasty although I had one bite of something crunchy that tasted off. The food wait is long, which would’ve been fine in a better setting, but the server failed to provide our beer and wine for the lengthy wait for the appetizers. We finally reminded her and she brought the order, but had missed one of two glasses of wine. This was very clearly ordered so I’m not sure what the problem was. The wine pours are very small when compared to other restaurants. I am not sure it was even 4 ounces. The entrées were not serve together. Again we understand they were freshly prepared and had to be prepared one at a time, but it is awkward when you’re a party of three and your food comes out at vastly different times, particularly when you are sitting at a metal counter and all you can do is stare at the counter or stare at your food. We all found the ceviche excellent. Given the small space at the counter, it was unfortunate that the appetizer dishes which had been pushed to the side were never cleared. It’s unappetizing to have dirty plates sitting there and it took up space.
I should note that there were only one or two tables filled and a couple of walk up orders so the restaurant was not busy. One server should have been able to handle things better. Finally, we ordered the alfajores to take with us. This restaurant needs to find a better way to pack alfajores than an over-sized plastic box.
I went with three stars because we loved the Andes café of old in EaDo and are sad that our two visits to the new location have been less than stellar.

We gave it an excellent rating the first time we were there, even though the service was a little off. But this was our second visit, and we tried the ceviche bar, and it was very disappointing.
The food was pretty nice, the Ceviche was decent, but the sweet potato accompaniment was surprisingly delicious.

Now onto the entrées. I ordered a beef dish that was not necessarily the most outstanding dish, but it was acceptable, tasted like one of those Chinese fastfood restaurants in China. The other dish, however, which was fish and other sea food in some sauce accompanied by rice, was really good, and I would definitely recommend it.

The tres leches cake was ok, nothing too special.

I spent 67 dollars ordering these. Overall, its an ok experience but I would say the price is slightly above average.

I’ve driving by this place many times and often wondered if it was any good, well now that I came I can say I’m happy I did. I came with my mom, sisters, nieces and a couple of my sister’s friends and I love it. Prices are reasonable, music is lively and food is delicious. I highly recommend this place for a girls night out or any occasion . 👏👍🏼👌

For me, food isn't just about nourishing myself with energy, but it's also about the experience! I think the ceviche bar at Andes Cafe was an experience. Located at The Post in Houston, they have a nice, cozy restaurant open in the corner of the food court.

I ordered the Ceviche Mixto which had calamari, octopus, fish, sweet potato, and other delicious ingredients which gave it a nice, tangy blend of textures and flavors. Sitting at the bar, you can see the chefs going to work in front of you as they prepare the meal. They also give a complimentary, bite-sized sample which was a nice touch. My meal tasted fresh and exotic, comparable to some of the great ceviche meals I had in Miami.

On top of the that, the staff was friendly and receptive to my questions. The chef was very passionate and competent, given his history with cooking. Overall, definitely looking forward to coming back and trying some of their new foods that they are coming out with too.
First time here and WOW!
The salsa with chips is Devine and Super HOT!

The Tamal Peruano and the Choritos a La Chalaca were excellent!

I loved the lemon juice resting in each spoon waiting for my mouth to open up! 😍

If you have not tried this place yet, you have to go! 🥰
Excellent restaurant, one of the best! They just need to hire more staff. When you walk in nobody even say Hi cause the host is a server too and she is running from place to place. People just walk in and have to wait until somebody acknowledge them. I saw a couple leave after 5 minutes wait. They even forgot to bring chips to the table, by the time I realized food was already coming. They need to hire a couple extra hands for sure. Other than that food is amazing!!! That's the only reason for my 5 stars instead of 3. Also the place was impecable, super clean!
Sur Latín Grill is a small challenge to find, but has amazingly tasty food, wonderful service, and nice atmosphere. It is apparent that they cook love into the food. That will be our new Peruvian food place to go. They have both kinds of authentic corn in the fish ceviche. They currently do not show prices on their menu but have a new menu with prices coming out soon. We highly recommend this restaurant if you love Peruvian food.

We had fish Ceviche, Shrimp Ceviche, and some of the most tasty fried pork rice in the USA Today. All of the food is high quality and delicious. Today they were very busy but still did a great job with Venezuela vs Ecuador soccer on the main screen. 1-1 was the score as we paid our way out.

The Fried Yukka is awesome. The purple dip is tasty. The green one is spicy, the yellow one did not trip our tastes. Wow, fresh and delicious.

Sur failed us when we ordered food delivery this month. We ordered three beef saltados and one fish ceviche. It took over an hour to receive our order. When we opened it, there was very small quantities of beef saltado. The ceviche was old and dried out. I came in today to order the same to take home, and the manager| owner listened and just said “oh”. She didn’t apologize nor compensate. That is grossly unsatisfactory.
I asked for papa a la huancaina to take away [*** NEITHER THE POTATO NOR THE SALSA HUANCAINA WAS GOOD I also ordered ceviche, to take away and more or less ... equally disappointed, wanting to eat Peruvian food, the potato caused inside and spend a little
Best fish ceviche and lomo saltado I've had outside of Peru (I've been to Peru at least 10 times. Additionally, service is excellent, and ambient music is 100% classic peruvian. If I lived in Houston, I'd eat here at least once per week! 😋

Really good Peruvian food. The kids meals are great and different. The mashed potatoes were really delicious. We ordered ceviche, aji de gallina and lomo saltado. I give the food 4/5. Very attentive service. The flan was sooo yummy!! I would go back.

Fun, cozy place. The food, band, server, and owner were great. We were glad they still served food so late on a Thursday.

I must start by saying the 20% coupon on Yelp isn’t valid.

I picked this place for my friends and I to meet up. We were seated quickly and the waitress was nice. The restaurant and the bathroom was clean. That’s always a great side of a good business.

I ordered the 1/4 chicken with an avocado salad and Mexican rice. It was delicious! My friends enjoyed it as well. I would definitely visit this restaurant again in the future.

I have been visiting this restaurant since it opened in approx 2006. The food is authentic, delicious and always consistent!! A great place to introduce people to if you're looking for something different that will be a pleasant surprise.
I needed to downgrade my rating for this restaurant: After trying and liking their food a couple of years ago, we took friends to taste peruvian food, and what a disappointment. Starting with the Pisco sour, that was watery; the empanadas were fried and not baked as typical peruvian empanadas are. The ceviche was bland and my main course, the lomo saltado, had tasteless with overcooked beef in a salty sauce. I also tried my wife's arroz con mariscos that was flavorless. The only good item was the chicha morada. Maybe this explains the lack of patrons.
