First time to Goldie absolutely amazing falafel sandwiches, the folks that served us were very nice. We ended up getting two falafel served in pita with marinated cabbage and cucumbers and tahini sauce fantastic very filling very fresh. My lady decided to get a tahini shake. I don’t do sugar I did have a little sip. Very tasty just for me. It would be nice if they offered a tahini shake with Stevia or something that has a very low glycemic impact think that’s the only thing that this place is missing

I am writing this as I am sat in the restaurant. I never write reviews unless I am absolutely enamored by the food and it would be an understatement to say this food blew me away. I got a simple plate of falafel with hummus and Lord forgive me but Jesus Christ this is too good. Cashier is so friendly. I will start to shop at this Whole Foods just sl I can come here to eat.

Want to give a shout out to John who always greets everyone with exceptional customer service. It’s rare to bump into restaurant employees that work hard and with a genuine smile.

My go to is the falafel sandwich and regular fries. One day hopefully I will see strawberry as a milk shake option ~hint hint~

I felt utterly disrespected by the insistence of the atmosphere here with ordering. I was not there for 5 min before they were harassing me walking up to the table to order when I told the young woman I needed more time to read the menu as I’m a disabled person who has trouble reading print and also have specific allergies. I had asked if I was allowed to sit before I sat down as it was 80 degrees summer outside, so I felt that the response was very much unwarranted as I was trying to keep my composure with a clearly insensitive staff that also forgot my water bottle that I paid for. I will not be ordering from here again.

The falafel sandwiches at the Whole Foods location are the best! Somehow, they have the right sauce-to-filling ratio! We love the tahini shakes too! The service is fantastic and the staff is always very polite and efficient! Kudos to the manager at this Goldie’s location!

Delicious falafel! I got a sandwich with fries in it and really enjoyed it. The picture when ordering online made it seem like it was on the smaller side and I can assure you it was not! It really filled me up for lunch. Would definitely recommend for a fairly quick bite!
Love this place been here many times and it never disappoints. I usually get the Youvesti which is braised lamb with orzo it’s my favorite from here but this visit I got the trio combo moussaka pastitsio and spanakopita all three were delicious my fiancé got the grilled lamb chops I tried some of his and they were so juicy tender and flavorful. I love the atmosphere and that they play nice Greek music!
Husband and I have been coming here since 1983, it was our second date site following the Nathan Hot Dog hut a block over. Tom, the owner was always onsite to chat with us and we were lucky enough to catch him on this evening. It was really great to see him again!🥰 We miss him. The place is still our favorite spot for great Greek cuisine in the neighborhood.

“I’m so happy right now” was what I said to the waiter. And he said, “As you should be”.

I went inside by mistake and didn’t realize it until I looked at the menu and didn’t see the food I thought I saw on Google map. I was looking for South Flavor, which was a block away. I’m so glad I stayed and ordered the Combo #1. My mouth had an exposition of flavors that I’ve never really had until now.
Highly recommended!

Heads up, this is inside of a Whole Foods!

So great if you’re looking to grocery shop, but bad if you want a more chill, hangout environment.

Other than that, awesome place!! Their hummus combo was incredible. Seriously it’s some of the best hummus I’ve ever had and the pita is so fresh and fluffy. Amazing! I’ll have to come back and try the shake that everyone raves about and the rest of the menu looked delicious too.

Really fresh, really filling. Wish this place was everywhere.

South Street Souvlaki has been a mainstay on South Street since 1976. South Street Souvlaki is the original Mediterranean spot on this bustling area. They jave a takeout window for those that are walking and shopping and a nicely decorated indoor dining room tastefully decorated with a Greek theme. The food is always freshly made and flavorful. Their Gyros are awesome and fresh with authentic Greek flavors. Today I tried the #2 Combination platter which features a meat kabob, sliced lamb and beef combo as would be in a Gyro, rice and Turlu which is a Greek veggie combination and delicious. I wasn't exactly starving when I started but I cleaned the plate. It was a real treat. This is definitely a foodie spot for Mediterranean food.

This is the best Greek restaurant EVER! I am from NYC and I was impressed with the places in Astoria until I came here. Decor is authentic, great atmosphere, excellent service. All the dishes I have tried on the menu are perfection. I want to try everything. So far, I have had the grilled pork chop and braised lamb. Both so amazing. The lamb is one of the best things I ever ate. My significant other likes the souvlaki and Greek salad. You start craving it again once your dish is finished. We’re addicted!!!

Note: the review saying they only accept cash is incorrect. We were just there and they take cards.

I love Goldie so much. Their tehina shake is out of this world. Their falafel salad is also awesome (ordered it to go with dressing mixed in). Highly recommend trying it here.

This location is situated in Whole Foods.
Food is delicious, best Calamari ever! The waiter Matt was very cool! Nice atmosphere

The food is great but I’ve ordered here several times and always ask for no cucumber in my sandwich and I’ve never once gotten it without it. I don’t think they bother looking at special instructions so that’s pretty annoying. The food is great nonetheless.
Best Greek restaurant in Philly! The food is awesome, you can taste the freshness or the ingredients - no wonder this place has been around for almost 5 decades. The staff is very friendly and the service is amazing to top off the delicious food and the wide spread. We had the baba ganoush, chicken souvlaki, lamb chops and the galactoboureko - each preparation was superb!

this place is so good that i'm still sitting at the restaurant. i couldn't wait until i got home to tell you how good this place is 😂

harissa and schug sandwiches were good. schug is spicy. the shawarma spiced fries are good but JESUS that ketchup is too diieee forrrrr!!!! the salted caramel pretzel shake is literally a milk shake. sometimes vegan recreations don't hit the mark but wow that shake is literally a shake 😂😂 so good. cant wait to be back. (so affordable too!!!)

Stopped in for lunch and while the place was very busy, they get your order done pretty quickly. So don't let the line out the door scare you. I ordered the falafel salad and my taste buds were dancing. There was so much flavor. I also got the shawarma fries and tahini shake. Everything was very good and tasted so fresh. Can't wait to go back

Best falafel in Philly for sure. Got the sandwich which was big and packed with vegetables. Wrapped up and easy to eat on the go.

The tehina milkshake isn’t something you can get everywhere so I gave it a try. Really good.

Inside also had a nice aesthetic and the staff was friendly. I’ll visit anytime I’m in the area.

The original Tehina shake is spectacular. The Turkish Coffee shake is outstanding as well. This is the only place I have been able to find shakes made with tehini. Next time I'm in town, I will try the rest of the menu.

Oh my! What an amazing VEGAN spot!!! The falafel was amazing! The food was delicious and VEGAN milkshakes! It was all so fresh and delicious. It was the little things such as the resturant made ketchup🧡Everything we ate was delicious. I loved the atmosphere here; the music was on point! Everytime I come to Philly this will definitely be my spot!

Got the tehini shake after many friends recommended it to me and I was not disappointed. I got the banana flavored one, my friends like the Turkish coffee flavored one. It was rich and creamy and almost had me believing it had dairy in it. The inside is very small with a limited menu so count on getting takeout not sit down.

Finally! Goldie’s triumphant return to Whole Foods - so appreciated! The falafels are just as delicious as ever, the fries are perfect, and the tahini shakes are an unexpected victory. But as wonderful as the falafels are, there’s no beating the hummus. Hands down, the best hummus anywhere, ever. I could eat it every day.

The tehina milkshake is AMAZING. We had the mint chip flavor which tasted like a non-vegan milkshake. The shawarma spiced fried were crisp and flavorful. Falafel was super tasty with a great salad - hope you can all add whole wheat pita as an option soon!
