I like our local Coles. Yes, it is small and has limited parking, but the staff is friendly and helpful. I want to say thank you to Ela, Lisa, and Vince—such excellent and helpful people.

Anyway, I want to write some words about this Coles as recently I had an unpleasant experience. I loved the bakery area; it was so fresh and of good quality. However, I cannot buy it anymore. I shopped there this week, and I saw one person open the glass bakery door and start trying all the bread loaves in his hand. Note that bread and other bakery are unwrapped.

So, he squished one loaf, then another and another until he found what he wanted. I now imagine how many people do the same, so I decided not to buy a bakery from Coles anymore. Our society is becoming increasingly ego-driven, and no one thinks about others like that egoistic person who tried all bread.

Remember, dear Coles, when it was COVID, you were so strict, so I did not even want to go there. What happened with hygiene?
Why is the bread coming to Coles unwrapped? It may be time to chat with the bakery and pack the bread.

Also, would be great if you bring into store a better-quality food for cats.

Fresh sourdough bread, cut to order and sonoma pastries, you can’t complain. Small store but packs a punch!

overall, this branch is tiny but well stocked. They also supply other products that the regular Coles don't have which is good.
However, I bought meat which had been discounted. When I went to the check out, it still scanned the original price which is disappointing esp since this is not my local store so I am unable to "return" it!
Coles, please fix your scanning system, thank you!
It used to be a very good local store. The lack of parking is often a problem, but shopping at Coles Rose Bay was great when they first opened. That has all changed now. The store is run down, empty shelves, they carry weird stuff, certainly not in tune with the local clientelle. Will never set foot in this store ever again, very painful experience.

Seem to be doing more to prevent waste piliing up at the back of the store. It should be noted that the staff here are exceptional.
This sleek, modern and attractive new “Coles Local” Supermarket is a big improvement on the old store. There’s a great range of fresh produce and ready to eat meals, in addition to all the regular staples and favourites.

The aisles are wide, so it’s easy to move around, and the strong lighting and clear markings make it a breeze to quickly find what you’re looking for. Just outside the store is a convenient hand sanitising station, with hand sanitiser and paper towels; an essential item in this new Covid world.

Staff are polite, friendly and efficient. They make you feel appreciated and valued as a customer at Coles and will go out of their way to help you. A special thank you to the ladies working at the deli counter, who always have a warm smile on their faces. They’re attentive and eager to please; a credit to the Coles brand.

But the best thing I like about this Coles is the new “Tap & Go” coffee machine at the front as you enter the store. What a brilliant idea, to be able to enjoy a cuppa before or after the business end of your visit. For the modest price of $2 for a regular size, or $2.5 for a large, you get a cup of fresh, hot, high quality coffee with old fashioned, creamy dairy milk. For an extra 50c, you can choose to have almond or soy milk. It’s easy to operate, with clear, simple instructions prominently displayed in the centre of the machine, just above the cups. It only takes cards. You simply select your option, (regular milk on the left, almond or soy on the right) then tap your card on the reader. Once your payment is approved, press the “start product” button and in a few seconds you’ll have a beautiful cup of coffee. Perfect for those chilly winter mornings. Sugar, teaspoons, lids and serviettes are all available underneath the machine. The only thing missing are a few chairs to sit down and enjoy it.

Thanks Coles for providing the residents of this area with such a great new shopping experience and also for preserving this beautiful historic art deco building.
