Beautiful grocery store!!! The quality is very good. We go there to buy organic fruits and vegetables for our daughter and to get some healthy products. We are happy with what we get there.
Target is great for late evening shopping when ALDIs across the street is closed.
Drove all the way to armatage produce for the Mavi. A drink popular in Puerto Rico. Sorry to say it was the WORSE mavi I’ve ever tasted. Worse yet it cost $15.00 for a half gallon. Way OVERPRICED! It all went straight down the drain it was that disgusting. Like I said WORSE MAVI EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a very nice place West of the loop and Nice atmosphere great service.I This is a nice place to get a bite to eat and a relaxing atmosphere nicely price menu. I highly recommend South loop marketplace.

Fantastic selection of Puerto Rican foods and ingredients. They have a lot packed into a little space, so it's a fun place to shop also, seeing what is in the little nooks and crannies, and what new products get added. Prices are not as cheap as the chain discount stores, but better to shop small and local if you can. There's a discount produce table at the back of the store you can get pre-packed plátanos really cheap, and the pan sobao is always fresh and delicious 😋
This is not a very good Whole Foods overall, at least in the section of prepared foods. Mid-day, the shelves are often bare... no salads, no sandwiches. No pizza. The meat/fish/produce areas are good. In the milk section, though, it is often that milk and cream has expiration dates close to day of purchase, which is very different from my experience at WF in Providence.
I don't go there often but when I do, it's uneventful and I accomplish my tasks. Plenty of well-lit clean parking and a good variety of businesses. I'm glad South Loop Marketplace is there.

I bought frozen fish and when I start the process to season it and cook it I found out this fish was spoiled and been stored for very long time , so be aware when you go to the deli section

Cashier I had didn't acknowledge me not even a hello or thank you. I'm not sure where their customer service training is. Half empty shelves too but I wouldn't go back.

Used to be one of my usual stores. The produce is alright. The meat isn’t as fresh as it used to be. The employees are not as friendly as they used to be. The store however is ALWAYS clean. The bakery section is always the freshest though.

Don't recommend. The scam was that never mentioned it was a grocery store to pick up the dinner prepared. Only when I emailed to make a reservation as they strongly recommend to do it, that I got to know it is a grocery store. The store was empty no food and no customers. The manager or owner, not sure her name is Adriana T was called by one of tne staff, as our dinner was significantly late and we were 20 minutes before the setup time for pickup, was rude on the phone and refused to reimburse us or give the food . Her service was really bad but the staff was nice. The lady cook was nice. I definitely don't encourage people to go due to Adriana behavior to her staff and her customers

I like this place. Nice variety of different types of Spanish food and products. Good prices, the only thing I don't like is this place is always very busy, so go very early or around closing time.
The self checkout male cashier was super evil because I made him give Me a receipt, which came out wrong, so he had to fix the machine. While he fixed the machine I went to get another item. Once I returned to pay for something, the item he was holding for Me, he slammed it on the machine and walked away mad... LoL Thanks for the hospitality
Good variety of Puertorican products at reasonable prices. Their ready to eat food (arroz con gandules y pollo asado) is really good. You will find there everything you need to make your homemade sofrito and some goodies too.
Nice location. Upstairs seating is clean and comfortable. Food situation is sometimes rough though because they often run out of things.
I was absolutely blown away by this amazing store, it looks tiny from outside but when you get inside it is cavernous and packed with the most wonderful fresh foods.
Abundant fruit, vegetables and even a hot and cold buffet style area where I picked up some soup and a full mixture of food… not to mention all the normal supermarket stuff!

When the location at One Chicago opened, it was great. The second floor eating area used to be much nicer and had lots of cozy places to sit. They took out the sofas years ago. The hot bar was better but it’s no longer very very exciting. The items are mediocre at best. Today I stopped in and they don’t even have the water dispenser working at the bar. I was told that while juggling the hot bar items I just bought and a cart, I had to walk all the way back to the bathroom and use the dispenser there. There’s not even place to put my hot bar items down while trying to fill a cup of water. I expect more from Whole Foods like better tasting hot bar options, a water dispenser in a convenient location and more of there more popular options at the deli counter.
WF should be ashamed of their fresh lettuce selection. Consistently awful, bruised, dried out.

This place used to always be busy with the previous owners 🔥 liquor and beer was the #1 spot for everyone in the neighborhood. Parking lot used to be filled with cars! I went in for the first time after remodeling and it looks so boring in there. All the beer coolers are gone. They think that adding the light strings outside make it look bougee but nope. Didn’t buy anything especially since the cashiers don’t even greet. Cashiers look bored from being there since its so dead. Sad watching it go from a very busy place to a slow store.
I’ve been living in this area since I was 2 years old. I am now 25. This was always our family’s grocery store since it is walking distance. We loved all the workers and management. Ever since they changed management we haven’t stepped in except one time. It was a literal ghost town. The shelves are empty. There is Dominican produce, which is ok but why take out all the Mexican produce when majority of us are Mexican?? That is what’s going to sell. Also the workers are rude. They won’t greet you. My brother walked in to buy something and security followed him throughout the whole store for no reason. These people need to realize that most people who step into this store are from the neighborhood and they need to be more respectful. This store is always looking so empty. At this point I rather drive to another grocery store than to step in here and give these people my money. It’s so depressing in there! I hope management changes so this store can continue to my a reliable neighborhood grocery store.

The store is wonderful but the restaurant is not good and it has very few selections, I bought a chicken torta but it looked more like a lettuce torta and I didn't get my free drink, when it says free drink with purchase.

First time there and loved the meat department prices and quality, Latino specialty foods, variety of veggies and fruit, freshly made chicken $7.99 in warmers and a friendly cashier. Try it, not a fancy place but worth a visit for affordable food shopping.
I was just here to get some food and when I went looking for bread they had none. The store hardly had anything in stock. My family has been going here for over 30 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had here which is quite depressing. What food store doesn't have bread at least?! I'm not a bot, I'm someone who shopped here for decades and was shocked how little they had. Hopefully things get better in the future for this once nice place.
I love this small Whole Foods! It's the perfect size for my neighborhood, and it has everything I need for my weekly grocery shopping. Good place to buy fresh food and it was good within walking distance from my hotel. Very tidy and most staff inside market were kind but the staff at self counter was very exhausted and didn't help customers well. she looked like she doesn't want to do anything.
Always a delicious 😋 experience at Whole Foods. I gotta the white fish with capers and olives, General Tsao Tofu and Cauliflower, macaroni and cheese, mixed veggies, and a kale and tortellini soup. I was so pleased with the taste of the food and the freshness. Chicago Whole Foods is a win!!!

You can tell the reviews on this site are all fake and reported by current and former employees. I can tell without having been to this store that it’s completely unprofessional and management needs to do better. There is no reason for the store to make threats of taking legal action due to people making complaints. It’s understandable to take legal action IF someone is threatening to inflict harm on another person here. I’m having a good laugh reading these reviews so I‘m wondering what this store did to these people because it must have been bad. Just remember everyone has bread and butter to bring to the table. All parties need to do better and management needs to ignore the social media bs & focus on bettering itself. 🙌🏼
I’m a neighborhood local and always drove by this market my whole life. I decided to stop by today since I didn’t feel like sitting through traffic to get to my usual grocery store. At first I was glad to see there was plenty of parking, as soon as I entered the store I realized why. This place is a ghost town and feels miserable. I was the lone shopper throughout my entire time there. The shelves felt empty. I honestly think my local “corner store” has a better selection of products. It looks super dated inside. The produce looked like it was sitting under heat lamps. The drink selection was a joke. My options were old 7-UP with Christmas promotional labels or Coke that was set to expire in a week. I noticed the $1 pop cans they offer by the checkout lanes were once part of a 12 pack and also very close to expiring. The meat selection did not look appetizing at all. Other reviewers are correct when saying prices here are crazy steep. 1 star since the cashier seemed friendly. But hey I learned a valuable lesson today; next time, it is definitely worth sitting through traffic to get to that other market down the street.
Love this new whole foods location. Salad bar and hot bar are great. Breakfast bar disappoints. It is expensive - we managed to get two salads from the bar and a drink for $60. Like their pastry, muffin and pie selection as well as all the fresh produce. Sushi rolls are pretty good too. I could come here every other day. Wallet says no though 😄
This place is horrible. Bought an avocado from here a few times and every single time the inside of it was pitch black! What a wast of money on something that is expensive at that. Prices are so high here they barely have any meat. I bought seasoned meat once and it tasted as if it was rotten. Had to throw dinner away. Customer service isn’t what it used to be anymore. The cashiers look sad and the people in the front are very rude. I feel as if they took so much food off the shelves and replaced it with decorations. All staff does is gossip and don’t take the time of day to take expired food off of the shelves. New owner is every rude as well I see why the store is doing bad. She doesn’t care for the customers. Took more than 10 minutes for someone to attend me when I was here because they were busy talking

It is quite expensive though, 12$ per pound for the combined hot bar and salad bar is really overpriced, given there is also lots of items like mashed potatoes or salad greens that should definitely not cost 12$ per pound….

I gotta say I've known this supermarket by many names over the years and it has always been a strong staple in the community. Reasonable prices and specials. Lots of fresh products and every service for your daily needs.
I had the best time at Garden Gourmet Market. the wine selection was amazing and all the craft beers were delicious. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an awesome spot to grab a wine or beer.
Prices are way too high. The employees look miserable now. They have no gallons or packs of water, they cut back on so much meat and cheese. Anything there is not worth buying anymore. Anything I do find is expired. The workers used to be so funny and make conversation. I hope all these changes aren't negatively impacting them and they're treated well. The vibes are very different now; The cashiers seem to always be on edge.

This store might be small, but it has quality products, and each item is well stocked and organized. Also, I think most of the items that can be found in other stores can also be found here. You will be surprised to know that the prices of their products are the same as those in other stores. They have tons of craft beers and wines to choose from. They have a coffee section that is nice and cozy. They offer a lot of organic and locally produced items. Everything they have is fresh, including the meat station, bread, snacks, and all the other foods you can find inside. It is great to know that they also offer vegan products. The customer service is great, and I can tell that the people here are very knowledgeable about their products. I highly recommend this store.
I've been shopping at Garden Gourmet for many years now and I can't say enough good things about the place. The produce is always fresh and the prices are fair. In addition, they have a fantastic craft beer and wine selection that can't be beat in this town. The staff is always helpful too.

Amazing store with amazing and very kind employees like Arianna she’s always so kind to me and my family and the owner is a great person. They have the best lasagna I’ve ever had and the gunner bears that come in the plastic container are always so good and fresh 10/10 would recommend it’s an overall amazing store that cares about the customers and the products they have. I love that they had revolution brewery beers if you haven’t tried them yet I would recommend fist city it’s my top favorite. Overall the store employees and owner are all very respectful and friendly. Foods is always fresh and tasty! Come here for your best experience they have a little of everything!

Very charming little spot that has an extremely extensive craft beer and cider selection, wine and champagne options are also impressive. They also offer a selection of deli meats and cheeses that are packaged and ready to go. I also love that they have a San Francisco Sourdough bread among their specialty breads. The wall behind the counter holds a high end liquor selection that's impressive and rare for a smaller grocery store. And the bookstore like decor is really cool! Prices are very reasonable, the employees are really nice and I love love love, that they are open until 9pm every day of the week. Even Sunday! All covid precautions are observed, posted and enforced and the store is always clean. I've never had a bad experience there and continue to return!

My family and I shopped at Walgreens and to our surprise we saw the actor "Terrance Howard" shopping there as well. We love him and his work and will never forget that trip or that day. He smiled at us, winked and gave a thumbs up 👍 as we spoke and complimented his work. God had really orchestrated our steps that day as usual,

Apparently this place doesn’t care about reviews. Today 7/27/21 the same problem with EXPIRED items!!! Be careful. Again there is no reason why this keeps happening. Don’t buy meat, don’t buy items that can expire. They will sell it to you and not care.

I have been in your store since I was 8 years old so I trust that what I purchase is good. But the salsa was expired. I took it back the same day but I didn’t have my receipt so nothing was done. I don’t buy meat, deli, or honestly anything that can expire. But after my incident I always notice when something is expired and I tell the cashier up front. I don’t do it to be mean. I do it because other customers might buy it. Nd trust me since I had my experience this store has had expired salsa 3 times. I finally decided to take a picture and put it as a review because nothing was being done by me telling the cashier. In the image you can see the day was April 28. The salsa expired on April 21st. Meaning it was sitting for 7 days Expired.

Still a good mall with high traffic businesses! Jason's Deli is a nice business that has sandwiches for approx. $7.00+. Panda Express offers great food! Dominos Pizza is still one of the best non-specialty pizza offerings in the Loop. Plus there's Walgreen, Fed Ex, and a dry cleaners. Average customer base consists of varied nationalities as well. Parking is easy and handicap accessible as well. Plus the view of Willis Tower and other buildings is not that bad also!
Nice employees. I found a staple in my chicken breast that I purchased, I called and they told me that they use staples to hold the chicken together.
This store is fantastic. Bummed I haven't stopped here before but I'm so glad to know about it now. It's charming and so well kept. The displays are meticulously stocked and organized, like something out of a movie. It's somewhat of a small store but effort is placed on having at least a little of everything. This is a good stop for any Latin American cuisine needs.
