It was a good place to shop. It's been there so long it had become a landmark. I liked it because the prices were fair for chicago. It's gone :( Someone said it burned.

Oh, I see there are other locations in Chicago. Maybe I'll pop in next time.

I came to this supermarket for the first time. The place is super big. There are a lot of things. It's just a little messy. Seafood is very fresh and there are many kinds. The meat department is also very fresh. There are many convenient parking spaces. There are also many small snacks. It will be a good choice to be around here later.

I loved the food
Finally I have tried what they eat in the korean drama 😍🤣

Shrimp dumplings are delicious
I recommend you to try the rabokki ( noodles with tteokboki) the best thing that I have tried it is sweet and a little spicy and the tteokboki are fresh and chewy

I didn’t like the stew very much but most of the people there ordered it

I loved the crepes cake!! Very light and delicious (must try it)

Corn ice cream tasted exactly like corn

Jin ramen contains pork broth, I bought it but didn’t try it

The soft cakes tasted very fluffy and delicious

The onigiri I tried the creamy tuna mayo
It tastes exactly like white rice with tuna and mayo

The kimchi tasted fantastic I liked it.

Would love to recommend this market. Great place to shop for all types of Asian food as well as sea food. They got all the meats in the back and a restaurant with a bunch of soups that are freshly made. The only down is how small the space is when it gets packed. I love the spicy octopus and beef soup is so 🔥 fire. The dumplings in the front are made fresh daily can choose from reg or spicy and sweet ones. 😋 the orange chicken is a must as well.
Good selection of fresh produce, meat, and Asian sauces. Should definitely be open later than 8.
The best Vietnamese - Asian supermarket I’ve ever been to. They are well stock, full of items that are essential for Vietnamese that can’t be found at other Asian grocery stores, like Perilla Leaf, Galangal, Omachi, Banh Trang Tron, Banh Cuon, Banh Bao, Banh Troi, Vit Lon etc. Big aisle and clean. Very good price as well.

I would leave zero stars if I could. If you really care about your health, I wouldn’t eat at this place Cockroaches are everywhere. Restrooms were also filthy. 🤮
This is my go-to place for ingredients for many Asian dishes. The lowest prices & variety of options in the city. Love the selection of exotic fruits they get. I hope they bring back the boba tea millefuille cakes.

Whole Foods make the difference within our communities, the store provides a service you won't find anywhere else, the kindness's and dedication will certainly make your experience smoother. As a TL I can say that we do take the time to choose the best quality and we are certainly always happy to go beyond for our customers. I do love working for WFM and being able to make our customers feel like family it translate in them sharing their experience and bringing new customers to our store.
The place is no longer open as it burned down last week! :( No one was hurt too my knowledge. This was a very convenient location to get everything I needed. Hope they rebuild and they can be better than ever!

Fresh fish and vegetables! My favorite is the basil and fish aisle!
Kind staff but sometimes the store is crazy busy and you shouldn't expect a smile from tired ones!
The store provides a huge free parking for costumers as well.

A very solid, well-stocked, and reasonably priced grocery store for Korean and miscellaneous Asian staples. It also has 2 “snack corners” inside and outside the building (inside one is for traditional Korean dishes; outside one is for dumplings and giant mandoos). The dumpling/mandoo stand stopped selling dumplings by the time I got there around 6:30pm, so I’ll try to get there earlier in the future to try those.

Instead, I got the kimchi mandoo, which is huge and contained pork and kimchi pieces. The mandoo exterior was soft and plushy, and the interior was spicy from the kimchi but otherwise pretty bland in flavor and texture. From the inside snack corner, I got a takeout order of Bulgogi, which came with rice and small side dishes of kimchi and japchae. This was pretty good— the bulgogi was a little overcooked but overall flavorful and delicious. The japchae had good flavor and texture as well, and paired well with everything.

Price (relative to peers): 4.5/5
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: N/A
Service: N/A
Overall Value: 4.5/5
Small and old looking location but do not sleep! Giant bottles of Soju, consistent and great priced banchan, and the HWE! $30 platter on Wed & Fri, thirty dollars people! Spoiler: it wasn’t Wed or Fri. Also a tiny dine in area with fire looking 순두부 치재 which we sadly didn’t have time to get because G(I)-dle concert at Rosemont. If this is your closest location of the three, don’t fret, it’s equally great. Same products as warehouse location with more in stock in home goods section as it’s not as sold out.
Good place, atmosphere is nice, a lot of different options of places to eat from, you can even do your groceries here. All the staff is nice and friendly. Feels like home.
It's a really good place for Filipino food and a great overall Asian market for international imports, I just know that they can do better with their prices being really high, comparable to whole foods, but other than that, I do recommend this place to anyone looking for Asian imports, you will not be unsatisfied.

Their restaurants are really good.
Great Products for your health!!! Become a Prime Member and save, save , save. A great selection of fruits 🥝 and vegetables 🥑, meats, poultry 🍗, and Sea Food 🐟, health and beauty products, household items, and more for 365 days a year.
Don’t shop here try a different grocery store in the area! This old foods sales spoiled food. I bought English muffins and when I got home I pulled it out of the bag and it was molded as well as the raspberry had green mold spot on them, that I had just bought! I was debating on saving some of them but threw the whole thing away. If I felt like walking 3 blocks back to the store I would have told them. But they should really check things on the shelf!!! I would have that Ken a pic of the English muffins but forgot. After reading other reviews it seems I’m not the only one that had mold in their products.

Good place for shopping for food and dine in.
Variety items you can think of.
There are Food Court inside the Super Market,
Free parking available all day long.
Can't believe I've been this close for 2 years and skipped this place. Seafood City didn't resonate as a full service supermarket when I'd drive by. Fish and Pork galore!

While Filipino focused, it has pan-asian offerings. It fills some gaps that Joong boo on Pulaski lacks, and vice-versa. If looking for Chinese or Japanese specific, you still have to go south or west from what I've found.

Now that I'm familiar, I'll be here once a week.
The small parking lot is very convenient. Although you will get more variety in some of the larger stores, this small 4 aisle store, carries all the basics for Chinese cooking: fresh vegetables, meat and fresh seafood sections, a small refrigerated and frozen food section, dried noodles, and a large selection of sauces. It efficiently fits my Chinese grocery needs. Cashiers are very friendly.

This mall is cute. The 88 marketplace is inside Jefferson Square. It has much variety and it’s a huge place. The prices are fair but not cheapest. But the fact that you will find like 10 aisles of candy and chips and snacks is enough to come here. There are like 6 rows of just frozen dumplings. It’s on a second level after you go up an escalator. It has a seafood and meat section as well. If you want and need variety for pan Asian food you should come here. Free and massive parking lot which is hard to find in the city of Chicago.
Good selections of Asian foods. You can find almost everything in here. Love it! 4 stars is because it has potential to be better ;)

We loved the place and definitely will be going back to look more at all they have to sell and to eat in. We were in a hurry, so we grabbed our things really quickly. We did order for take out. It was big on the inside and cleaned. They had so many things.
This is a great little supermarket for some quick pickup just on the edge of Chicago Chinatown. We stopped here for some snacks after dim sum before we pick up our car in the parking lot across the street. It is very convenient.

This place is awesome. Hot pot and boba next door. Free Parking available. So many gems if youre looking for merch as well. Make sure to block out a few hours if your time to make sure you can walk around the entire building (grocery, hotpot, etc). They have better prices than Hmart so get your essentials at 88 Marketplace at lease
At first sight, there was a feeling of landing in another country. At the left of the main entrance is a very cultural Asian restaurant. History says see how many people in the restaurant will tell you how good the food is. The restaurant was full.
However, I didn't see anyone waiting in line to be seated.

I have been here a few times and have not run into issues regarding the customer service nor the products thankfully! The store itself has a wide range of grocery items from candy and snacks to ramen and flash frozen goods. There's frozen dumplings and bao buns but also a fresh market inside with live crustaceans and even eels. (I didn't purchase from over there but did notice it near the back) They have a large spice and seasoning selection, fresh produce, and grains. They are actually closer to me than H-Mart and as of now they have everything I needed to purchase, even bulk options. The prices here are really good and that's based on comparisons to other markets. (Asian marts and big box retailers) They even have quite a few options for the instant coffee mixes!

There is also free parking at the market which is awesome, although it is a bit tight. When I arrived I noticed a car going in reverse to get out (it clearly says one way), until I left and realized why that car had no choice but to reverse out. Someone had parked and not pulled all the way up, thus preventing anyone from being able to squeeze between the car and the wall. So I too had to go in reverse. If I'm not in a hurry I'll take the chance to park in the lot again, however if I need to be able to get in my car and go I'll probably opt to pay the like $3 to park on the street while I shop.
I gave Tai Nam a five because they have a variety of each of the items they carry. I had stopped at several other asian stores and while they had a variety, they didn't include a various country products. Tai Nam had the Japanese noodles I was looking for as well as the Vietnamese soup mix. Super nice checkout ladies also.
I love this place. They have a great variety of Philippino foods. I love their prices and the fresh selection of meats/fish. It's great that there's a Jollibee inside as well as 2 other bakeries. Stop in to Red Ribbon. They have some of the best Ube goodies I've tried. I also love the food court. Great kabobs and halo halo. Oysters are also 99 cents each. I make the drive from WI just for this market.
Great store! Exact quality you can expect from any other Whole Foods, but I specially like their flower selection

Great spot for grabbing any type of Asian ingredients. The building where this grocery store is located is very nice and modern. The bathrooms are decently clean but not the cleanest.

The restaurants are nice as most of them have a very convenient way of ordering but when it's busy, it's busy. We ordered our food but didn't get a text that it was ready until 10 minutes later. Thankfully, I checked with the food vendor and it was made before we got the text. We did not try the hot pot on the first floor but the restaurants on the top floor were great! The food from all of the places are excellent choices of Chinese food. Can't go wrong with any of them as they all looked and smelled delicious.

The products in the grocery parts are all very well organized. The meats, veggies, seafood and other products looked fresh. You'll be able to find all sorts of Asian snacks, coffee, tea, candy and much more here. We didn't have any trouble finding the same snacks that we have at our local asian grocery store.

The parking lot is packed but there is a second lot not too far from the building. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the first parking lot was full. The surrounding area is a bit sketchy so remember to lock your door. Other than that, nothing happened to our car.

Overall, an excellent Asian store with amazing Chinese foods available.
Seafood City, they have the Best Crispy Chicken Skin you can buy, also Crispy Fried Calamri, Fried Banana and Sweet Potatoes.
If you buy fresh fish they clean and deep fry for you.
The beer price little high.
I bought some mints and other things all were expired, wormer very rude when confronted about it.
Great Korean market ! I come mostly for noodles and instant ramen , but they have almost everything you can think of .You can buy fresh pork belly , they make daily hot meals ready to go , sushi and poke bowls as well.
How can a store sell expired food, and then when you tell them they refuse to serve you period now. My friend wanted to use the bathroom, so they bought and still sold my friend the EXPIRED food, and as they wanted to use the bathroom you said no?! But let someone else use it! My friend ACTUALLY bought the illegal substance that was on your shelve and now can’t use the bathroom?!? This makes no sense. You need the health inspector in there. This is ridiculous. If it’s not a pandemic removing us from this world, it’s consumer stored who don’t care whether their customers get sick or don’t. Worst experience ever.

I’m here to manifest something but first let me tell you a bit about this place.
True the location looks an feels sketchy but nothing to be afraid of. A lot of parking available ( free ) they also have a gravel parking in case you come with a van or rv.
As soon as you go in you got a restaurant, a cute cotton candy vending machine, a boba place and some clothing stores. Upstairs there’s the marketplace and the food court ( you gotta stop by the food court! Is a must!!! Trust me on this! There’s also a bakery ( grab that savory loaf ).
The marketplace is huge. Since is a Chinese one the predominant products are Chinese of course, and quite a lot of Japanese ( sweets ) as well. The variety is huge, the have everything and the meat & fish departments are out of this world.
Now the price point of view I’m delighted. H-Mart is crazy expensive 👀 comparing but also H-Mart has more Korean products rather than Chinese so is nice to experiment both. I spend quite a lot at 88 Marketplace and I was so surprised to see they have the Chinese Oreos here.
The one parts that needs to be taking care of are the fruits and veggies. There’s not a big variety they have ( like other Asian markets ) but otherwise I found so many products I was desperate to find. They also have the Taro Binggrae Ice Cream ( I was looking for it for 2 years ) and they also have the dough for egg tarts. They also have a huge selection of drinks which made me really happy.
I absolutely love this place and as for me manifesting something, I hope to see you guys bring the brand Do King ( tapioca pearls in cans ). I’m obsessed with them!
I do recommend you to visit this place cuz is absolutely fantastic!
They had several Japanese items that I've had a hard time finding elsewhere - Kubota mochi, Otafuku okonomi and yakisoba sauces, and Golden Curry. They also had a whole aisle of ramen and noodles.
While I have had mostly positive experiences shopping at this establishment, I have also found that the narrow aisles can be a bit challenging to navigate, especially when the store is busy. It can be difficult for two people to stand and shop in the same aisle, which can create some congestion and make the shopping experience less enjoyable.

On the positive side, Park to Shop Supermarket offers an extensive selection of Asian food items, including fresh produce, meat, seafood, and a wide variety of imported packaged goods. The quality of the products is generally excellent, and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent option for anyone looking for authentic Asian ingredients.

Despite this issue, I would still highly recommend Park to Shop Supermarket to anyone looking for a great selection of Asian food items at reasonable prices. The quality of the products, the friendly staff, and the overall shopping experience make it an excellent choice for anyone interested in exploring new flavors and ingredients in their cooking.
Whole Foods is my go-to store here in West Loop. The store is clean and spacious and they have various selection of every single product. Clean and fresh produce available, sometimes things are not stocked so it can be a hit or miss. I visit Whole Foods once a week and it’s always clean compared to the other grocery stores in the neighborhood. Price is decent given the quality. Employees are friendly and helpful. Also, there is an Amazon return drop box available, so really convenient location.

Love whole foods, another location with a great hot and salad bar selection, just as expensive as all the other ones, but super delicious. Although I would love them to restock hot bar items during prime dinner time and not go on break when trays are empty.
Great variety of Asian groceries with the focus on Filipino exports. Very tasty food in the food court too. Also a few Filipino chains like Jollibee and Red Robin. It's a great choice to satisfy your Asian food cravings.
Authentic Chinese grocer with plenty of convenient parking options. One standout is their produce; the freshness is exceptional and the flavors are much more close to “garden grown” than typical Kroger, Mariano’s, Jewel and the like. I recommend this for anyone looking to create some authentic Chinese and other Asian meals at home.

Awesome market with a huge selection of fresh produce, dry snacks, and household items. Whether you are looking for tea, snacks, or fruits and vegetables, Tai Nam has a large selection of various products. A great stop for your weekly grocery run or if you want to just browse the selection for a tasty snack.
Visiting this place is a-must for every Filipino visiting Chicago! It's a pretty big supermarket that also has eateries and bake shops inside. They have Jollibee, which is a seperate restaurant but you can still get in while you're in the Supermarket. The eateries are Crispy Town and Grill City, which are right inside the supermarket and are sort of in a food court setting. The bakeries are Red Ribbon and Valerio's which have their own seperate area that you can still access while inside. They have tons of products from the Philippines. The only downside is how some products can be very expensive. A 6-pack Red Horse Beer and San-mig beer is $20 each, but I guess that's how they priced them because they're imported products. The place is also very clean and well-managed. Will definitely come back again on my next Chicago trip!
A one stop shop for everything Asian food and/or Aslan accoutrement! Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh/frozen fish and seafood. Fresh/frozen beef, pork, and chicken. The whole gamut of Asian snacks and candies. There's even a Jollibee restaurant, Valerio's, and Red Ribbon bakery!

Joong Boo Market is a unique and accurate South Korean experience. The food is delicious! I tried my first ever bowl of Kimchi stew and all I can say is wow. I sent some of these pictures to my friend in South Korea and he was impressed with the accuracy of ingredients and presentation to a typical South Korean market. There was so much variety for authentic groceries. Their meat counter was surprisingly inexpensive for the quality. If I still lived in the area that is definitely where I would be buying all of my pork and fish. All together just a wonderful experience.

Heaven! Very happy to visit this place! I think Tai Nam stands for 'Thailand and Vietnam', but you will find not only Thailand and Vietnam ingredients/food/beverages there, but almost all asian ingredients etc.
Compared to other asian mart i ever check, this one provides the best price.
Grocery store similar to Asian Grocery store back in Rochester, MN. Bought some snacks and drinks. It is on another Avenue called Archer Ave. of ChinaTown. Too many avenues of all Asians Ethnicities as Chinatown Chicago continues to grow as a full resort Area.

Love this place! Vegan wonderland! Great fresh veg, for affordable prices. Their mushrooms are the best! So many vegan options. I’m adding one photo of an entire isle of frozen vegan options, as well as a dry goods area of various TVP, dried seitan, and soy skins. Many options for vegan sauces, and broths also.

Whole Foods is my go-to store here in West Loop previously and so far, based from experience I must say that it is a good grocery store. Everything is always easy as a pie. The store is clean and spacious and they have various selection of every single product. Their produce is always fresh and in a good quality that goes same as well to their seafood and meat section. The quality of their products makes them special to me although other grocery stores also have a good quality product but this location of Whole Foods is the better one for me. Prices are average and the truth is other grocery stores have lower prices. They also have sales but it is only limited to selected products. The store has a convenient location which is near to where I am staying. Staffs in here is friendly and they are very nice too. If there is anything that I want to recommend, it is definitely their produce, seafood and meat section.
They expend the store. I recommend you to shop there. You can have fresh foods, dry foods, can foods and verity of sauces. Extended side has restaurants supplies, home goods. Price are reasonable.
Out door Parking as well.
Store owner is nice 😁
They have produce and Hot coffee which is a plus for me .
They have a lot of products, I really don’t know what most of this stuff is. I took pics so you guys can see some of the stuff they have.
They have expanded their space and selection to meet the needs of everyone from the snackers to the ultimate consumers to home-based caterers and restaurants. You must also become aware that they have a great, very reasonably priced selection of fresh mushrooms (white and brown beech, enoki, seafood, baby and large king oysters, shiitake, button, portobello and white or gray oyster mushrooms). They also have a great selection of dried mushrooms. Sorry, I'm into mushrooms. If you're a caterer, check out their to go containers and sauce cups. If you need to ask for help there is always someone who can help. Everyone who works there will point you to the right people.

Excellent market. Fresh produce. Good butcher too. Store gets a little crowded and aisles are tight and narrow. A decent selection of household goods too. The best place for dumplings/buns too. They are at the walk up window just off the parking lot. Parking can also be tricky as the lot is small and oddly shaped.
I pass through this location often but I never thought of checking it out. My thought was a market for Thai and China people.
Today a friend said she needed a particular type of fish, we came here, got the fish and met a lot of people who are not even Asian. The manager was splendid. He is active, smart and professional.
If you too want to try something different, check out this place, you will not be disappointed.

one of the best roast duck and roast pork belly in chinatown. best price also
Most of the items I wanted to purchase were either expired or soon to be expired. Small selection and kinda cramped. Staff was nice but not many products I wanted
I go here mainly to buy cigarettes. Fair prices. Ok
Small grocery store known for fresh produce
Asian market in Chinatown. If you're planning to cook Asian, this is where to find the items not at the local grocery.
This small store has all asian grocery needs. If you are looking for freshly cut frogs legs, come here!! The butcher was chopping live frogs as I walked by. On the flip side, it does feel a bit disorganized and messy. Also, It’s a very tight fit between the aisles.
Good produce that's impossible to find otherwise
Staff is helpful and courteous. Definitely recommend to buy plantains here.
Great place to get cheap smokes. Also, wheelchair friendly. If you can't reach it or don't fit down the aisle they will get it for you.

I found lots of things good prices
Wonderful market for Asian groceries. They also have a ton of vegan and vegetarian meat substitutes, and foods. Bring a cooler of you live far away for frozen goods. They also have dried gluten in different flavors and shapes and a good bit of canned vegan meats as well. Definitely worth the visit if you need to stock up. Folks there are super duper nice and very kind.
When I first moved to Chicago, this was the most authentic store.
Very nice people here and competitive pricing.
I could hardly wipe the smile and excitement off my face when I was first got here. I found out about this place only a year after landing here, which is a year too late.

I was amazed about the size and selections in this place. Now obviously this place isn't as big as the Super H Mart at Niles. But this is a true Chinese grocer, this is one of the biggest grocer in Chicago with Chinese selections. The grocer at Argyle is also big, but the selections are different, having more Vietnamese items. Park and Shop is also known as Hong Kong Market, and has more Chinese items from Hong Kong and also SE Asia.

The selections of vegetables, meat, hot pot ingredients, dumplings, instant noodles, etc, are plenty and various. The most selection I've seen in the Chinese grocers. Whatever you want, if you can't find it here, you probably won't find elsewhere! Look at my photos to see the selections and what excites me!

However, the prices are not nevertheless cheapest, some are but some can be found cheaper elsewhere, so compare nefore buying. Moreover the place is quite old and parkings are few, that's why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
No loading/unloading dock, must unload- unsafely in street. They do get unloaded in about an hour. Store is unique. I've come back several times since and shopped, always treated good and like the many varieties they have.
Decent selection of Asian groceries
Small, crowded, a bit dirty, but it has almost everything I need for Chinese food and groceries. In the morning it is packed with elderly Chinese shoppers. The only shortcoming is the lack of a roast meat (duck, pork, charsiu, chicken etc) section, like some other grocery stores in Chinatown. Also you can use credit cards only if the purchase is more than $15.
Great mart with various of products!
The Chinese employee didn't help me out, they dont speak English, the place smells really bad and there were many animals like whole dead chickens and ducks packed. Fish and Lobsters were cramped up into one tank. Thats animal abuse. No animal should be treated like that. Everything was organized and there was lots of snacks. Mostly everything is cute. Overall its ok.

Hate the distance to Argyle, so far from the motorway and so many traffic lights. But why you gotta have the best Vietnamese food and Tai Nam!? Can't a guy just eat and shop where it's 5 minutes even 10 away?

I give up. I'm hooked. I keep coming back for more! Great Asian food, groceries, bread, produce and snacks at great prices.

Tip. The giant Milo tins are $10 cheaper than Chinatown!
Amazing selection of produce, meats and all sorts of dried goods. HUGE SELECTION of sauces, rices, noodles and candies. This is the closest place I’ve seen to an actual Hong Kong grocery store. THE PARKING LOT IS COMPLETELY CRAZY, so you might want to park on the street (nearby) and just walk the last 150 feet to the entrance.
This grocery store carries most of the chinese groceries. It has fresh veggies, fish and fruits.Prices are moderate.

Always friendly. Very helpful. Good variety of goods.
Everything Filipino!

The Filipino Chicken & Pork BBQ from Grill City is scrumptious!

Update: Still the best!

Got some UFC Banana Catsup, Lucky Me Pancit Canton Chow Mein Chili & Calamansi, Sinigang Mix, Pan de Coco and of course, the major reason I come here - Grill City's BBQ!
They had live crabs stuffed in a box. There's a better way to keep them.
Sometimes you need the true Chinese stuff and this is one of the few places you can get them. Much better than the chinatown market bc there is parking, plus its bigger. It's what you would expect from an Asian market, no frills and cheap prices. By Western standards it's dirty and no one is friendly but they have a decent selection of Chinese goods (some other Asian stuff too, but minimal). You can get a 50lb bag of rice for 20 bucks and any sauce imaginable which is a steal compared to trying to find those at Jewel/Marianos. They don't like you paying with credit if your purchase is small and if I were you I would park on the street if your busy....parking lot is small and I've had other cars open their doors straight into my car before. 4 stars bc it really is pretty dirty and they are missing a fresh seafood section that most Chinese markets have. But at the same time there is parking, low prices, and you'd be hard pressed not to find what you came here for.
great place for chinese food ingredients.

Great roast pork!
Great small market with meat, live fish, and fresh produce. Located at the end of Chinatown and has good prices.
In my spare time, when I catch a break from my regular gig as an international man of mystery, I enjoy making ramen concoctions. Pork belly generally plays a key role in my little experiments. This is the only place I go to get it. We don't understand a word each other is saying, but somehow I always get a great result. Perfectly salty and creamy pork belly. Magic!
