Nice little neighborhood market downtown San Jose. Friendly workers, easy to find what you need. Small selection, but good selection.

Shoppers is a place where you can find almost anything, from food to pet toys, kid toys, house stuff, school utilities among others, it is great to go and good prices also.

This is a supermarket targeted at economy family sector, Chinese and imported goods, you could buy kitchenware and home items at very cheap prices for a temporal stay or something cheap you can buy when leaving Costa Rica. Groceries are slightly cheaper than other supermarkets and with a bit more variety.
It was our favorite store while I was in Costa Rica for my study abroad month!

About twice the size of a 7/11 in the US, and of similar quality, selection and prices. If overpriced junk food is your thing, head on over.

Literalmente me robaron, en el fresh market de tibas, presente la factura, dijeron que era un fallo de ubereats y en uber tampoco se hicieron responsables, lo reporte e intente llamar y nada. Un robo descarado

This is a great place for affordable products of any kind. It's like an higher class version of pequeño mundo and I mean it is the best way possible. They have everything from appliances to crafts including car accessories and audio equipment as well as hair care products and beautician supply's and equipment. They have fun car style carts for kids.
I have used this store daily here in Costa Rica. They have a good selection of items, the staff is friendly and accommodating even if your Spanish isn’t that good. Would highly recommend for foreigners traveling to San Jose!!

Pésimo servicio a través de Pedidos Ya. Cuando no tienen ciertos productos para completar el pedido del cliente, ni siquiera se molestan en llamar, para darle a uno la oportunidad de reemplazar dichos faltantes y esto a pesar, de que dicha opción fue marcada en la app a la hora de hacer la compra.
Los dueños son muy agradables, me agrada comprar en ese lugar....

Stayed at nearby Airbnbs and frequented this store often for quick, convenient buys like fresh (sometimes day-old) bread, toiletries, soda, fresh fruit, candy, etc. You're paying for convenience so expect a bit higher prices than if you went to an actual grocery store with more selection. Admittedly, the customer service may not be the best but it's comparable to your usual gas station cashier conversation or lack thereof which can be hit or miss. Overall, it's good enough.
A great little store. It's a sort of express/convenience version of Fresh Market. Grab&Go selection is nice. We enjoyed the fresh salads and sandwiches we grabbed. Good wine and beer selection. Plus a little bit of everything else. Super friendly staff. And forget what Luis said below...though maybe if like him you refuse to follow the law/rule and just hate to respect others by wearing a mask inside during this pandemic then maybe an employee may ask you to correct the situation. But if any Americans find this request repulsive then please return to the states and stop making Americans look ignorant and like big A holes.

This place and their people do not respect their clients. Due to the Pandemic now their employees have becom the "Mask Police". My experience at this store on 7/8/2020 was one for the books. Americans, do not patronize this store or ay for that matter. They will talk down to tou and make your experience really bad because now you have to do what they say.

This store has a little of everything and fair prices. However, I feel that the organization and clutter is lacking. But, it's a good experience.
El lugar más indeseable del mundo. El servicio de por sí nunca a Sido el mejor. En el día de hoy llegó con mi French Poodle que lo traía del Veterinario y de paso entro hacer la compra de un baguette con el de manos porque con este sol imposible dejarlo en el auto. Dos pasos a tomar el pan y viene una persona que si el perro no puede estar en el local. Ok. Lo tengo en mis manos solo compro esto y me voy, ya lo sé para la proxima. Me volteo a pagar y viene otra persona a lo mismo que por favor el perro. Que pena que sean tan intolerante con las mascotas. Más cuando uno la tiene en las manos y toma medidas de sanidad. Pero en serio que no sean NADA FRIENDLY con los animales es como si no lo fueran con uno. Jamás entraria a un Fresh Market o un lugar con tanto desprecio a las mascotas. El sr buscando los elementos que si en la gaceta del país. En fin. Si ese mismo afán que toman para el desprecio lo hacen para el servicio y bajar esos precios serían la mejor línea de mercado. Nunca había Sido tan atendido en un Fresh Market Como hoy. Que lastima que fue para mal. Y además la fea actitud de todos los trabajadores hacía mi perro en ese momento. Que mal. 😡🤮😡🤮🤢👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Don't know how to describe it. But most of the appliances and electronics are made by unknown brands. Items are medium to low quality. Some times they price them good some time they get over priced...
Un lugar limpio, acogedor con variedad en víveres para el cliente. Excelente trasero por parte del personal que allí labora. Buen estacionamiento con vigilante, pueden hacer sus compras con absoluta tranquilidad. Lo recomiendo ampliamente

Es un local relativamente pequeño en comparación a los grandes supermercados. Pero por eso mismo resulta muy ágil comprar. Hay básicamente de todo. Talvez un poquito más caro que la competencia. Pero en una emergencia o a quien no le moleste pagar un poco más. Está bien!
Good beer and wine selection. Lots of ready to eat items. They sell jamon iberico - come on!!! It is really an super-upscale convenience store or mini grocery store, BUT they have so many quality items to include fresh bakery items and a really good selection of gourmet foods!!!
this place sucks.. I will never shop there again... The little prick that works there is rude... he followed us around the store and told my friend he could not film any thing,,, My friend had a camera, but was not on... Then the check out girl took my wrap and turned it upsidedown at the check out.. My cesar dressing was all spilled out.. What incompatence...
Every time I go to Shoppers Zapote, San Jose Costa Rica its a great experience! The staff is super kind. Helpful and friendly. I work at Amazon where the customer comes first and I feel at shoppers like i wanna make my customers feel. SPECIAL! Will always shop at Shoppers. Thank you.
