This place is not perfect. Lots of people, including my family, have almost gotten scammed because of the manager not being transparent about the price of an item, which is a bag of chips [Casava Chips]. No other shop puts Tax on chips except this Shop.The manager put tax on the item a few days ago when it's on sale. Also, the manager has an anger issue and doesn't know how to talk to customers politely. they started taxing Chips out of no reason since, for the last few months, they haven't taxed this item until a few weeks ago. 😤😠😡
I tried to call 6 times their phone number listed in the contact list in their google business contact, but no use. No one answer. There are no option to leave message.

The new Ocean Supermarket in Scarborough is a welcomed addition to the community. With its spacious layout and well-organized aisles, shopping is a breeze. Good produce and indian grocery. New south Indian/Tamil takeaway food options that need some work on quality of food, freshness and price. One stop in terms of god/puja options/deities and utensils and cookware like pressure cooker Indian style steam cooker.

Good store to shop Indian and Srilankan groceries, spices, vegetables and fruits. Well stocked. Clean and organized. Courteous staff. Quick and efficient service. They even have a points card which accumulates points to redeem later. There is enough parking although it gets crowded on the weekends.

One of our regular grocery shopping destinations given its proximity to residential areas and many eateries. Fresh and varied produce selection plus meat and seafood at reasonable prices. We particularly buy the hot food which gets discounted later in the day. This place offers online shopping which we have yet to try, but it's quite popular so the product selection must be quite varied!
My go to supermarket. It's clean, and you can get almost everything Asian at reasonable price. Best pow in GTA. You can get salmon for $5/lb on sale. Lobster for $8/lb. Fresh fruit and veggies too. Outside you can get the addictive freshly fried Chinese bread stick. You may have to wait in line for it.
Foody is great and cleaning. I love its bakery, fruit, vegetable, cooked food. It packs meat in about 10-12$ value in a single pack so a bit inconvenient for single person (Nofrill normally packs smaller about 5$/pack), however you can ask employee here to weight specifically. Overall is good.
Always have more than enough cashiers on duty.

I have been to this store twice when metro was on strike and let me tell you, I was met with weirdness I would honestly chalk up to racism each time ( I am a white male) . My first visit I went to the hot table and was looking what to have. The couple ahead of me ordered the general Tao’s chicken and it looked really good, so I ordered it. The couple in front of me (Asian) received a heaping portion to where the lid could barely close. I watch as mine is fished into the container and I literally receive maybe half of that. I ask the person serving me is there a larger size like the couple got in front of me. They say no, but that they were regulars so they get more. I was completely dumbfounded and lost for words. The food was good but not as good as it looked. The second time I was in the store I went to play a proline ticket at the lottery terminal. After waiting a few minutes the girl working finally acknowledged my existence and before she even lets me scan my ticket she says cash only. I said no problem I have cash. She then asks to see the cash before she allows me to scan my ticket. It was a 5 dollar ticket! I kinda shrugged it off but after I got my ticket I hung around at the front of the store to see someone else get their tickets. Shockingly no nonsense like that when the Asian customer who got their tickets next went through her. This is all I have to say on this subject, but you really aren’t welcome if you’re a Caucasian .
Good One Stop Shopping for Asian groceries. However, prices could be a little bit lower. Hot food counter is MUCH better than T&T!! Service is not great (as expected). However, food quality and pricing of prepared, hot food is good. Meat counter could benefit from a ticket system, to help serve first person first and disallow for people to jump qeues. Bakery section could stand to benefit from expanding and offering more variety. No competition around. Practically guaranteed sales, as long as quality and pricing is proper. This location is a solid SECOND choice of weekly shopping.
Disappointed with the box of brown sugar boba ice cream bar. The bars melted before, so the bar slid off the stick and we got a mess instead. How do we know how long this box was out of the fridge before being placed in the fridge? Did you have a power outage and not check your products? How does Foody World ensure their frozen products are in good condition and does not sell items like this? I would never buy ice cream products from there again.

Reasonably priced Oriental grocery store in north Scarborough. Many items at regular prices are cheaper than other nearby grocers who have same items on sale.

The meat slices are quite large, but we only need a small amount. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the same product in the pre-packaged fridge section. This led us to the deli section, where all the meat was pre-packaged in similar amounts. We weren't given the option to choose how many pounds of meat we wanted; instead, they asked us to pick from what was available and packed it in a plastic bag. This process wasn't very helpful for our needs.
Pretty clean place and well stocked. Have google translate ready. It will really help cut out some of the general rudeness that is normally exhibited in Chinese businesses. Lots of times it is not a language barrier but the contorted faces that speak!

Today I bought at this store, and I bought a lot of stuff. Everything is going well until I go check out all the item, cashier is being rude and disrespectful, because we bought an durian but it was expensive and we want to put it back. We ask the cashier to return the product but she was look at me and my family with a disrespectful way and keep saying in Chinese in her mouth. Through this experience I don’t want to go back.

Great Asian supermarket with frills!! Most things you will want from an Asian supermarket are available here at a competitive price. As per usual, one should not expect any service at all. As per the well deserved and earned reputation of Ma And Pa styled Chinese grocery stores having poor customer service, this place is no exception. It is much better if you just go in, find what you want and proceed to the cash registers. The frills that this place offers is with their selection of prepared foods that can be enjoyed in the food court that has a handful of other food serving counters to appease most Pacific Rim tastes. Consistent with selection and pricing, this place is a solid Go To for everyday grocery shopping needs.
Love shopping at this particular Asian grocery store because of it's cleanliness and variety of products available. Only downside to this place is the pre-made food at the counter which I found wasn't very good. Staff there is also not very friendly and seems to like shouting at customers rudely which I did not appreciate. Most of the cashiers do not interact with customers with the basic "hi" and "thank you" which I did not like. Wished they would up their customer service just a little bit so that I can give them 5 stars.
This store is known for selling expired/past best before products and if you take it back, they’ll tell you that they can’t take it back bc it’s a loss for them lol and even further they’ll blame you saying that it’s your responsibility to check. I don't live in the neighborhood however I put in the practice to go shopping weekly. Place is clean n tidy, produces are fresh n label with place of origin, well organized shelving of prodcts n lots of choices. The cooked food are superb in both prices n quality. Thanks to all employees for their hard work and certainly 1 or 2 employees are of a little bit grumpy.

Our regular place to get fresh vegetables and fruits. Unlike other Chinese supermarkets, this one does not sell freshly cooked food. Their fresh meat and seafood section seem popular. Location is easy to reach by bus 43 from Kennedy station.

I would give this store 0 stars if that was an option. Please do not use this store to send money to Sri Lanka. They lied and claimed themselves as Elan Thulir. They don't know the process and after multiple calls, the owner Karan claimed he didn't even own the store. I asked for receipts of deposit for proof and they couldn't even provide that. Don't trust this store.
The poorest spice land ever ever I went specially customer appearance is “nil” . Just now I camed from there and I talked in Tamil the lady who works in the cashier also Tamil she replied in English.and i again talked in Tamil eg: how much is this etc…. This store is really gross. ive seen the ppl at the meat couturier spiting on the floor where they stand. They have smokes right out side the entrance while spitting on the floors again. They are nothing but prevrets they always have something to say in a different language when a women comes around. I asked another woman who understood them but she wouldnt tell my wife what they said. The prices are way to high as well

Comparing to all other Chinese supermarkets that I have been this place is definitely overpriced. Also, they are selling Pikes as Pickerel and Rock Bass as Crappies
As a customer, I believe that it is important to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the circumstances. However, during my visit to this store, I was carrying a similar red cart to their carts and she was telling me that those carts was for them until I showed her that there was a name on my cart. This behaviour is not acceptable repeatedly.

It's a fun store to wander around in. Lots of 'Big Sale' signs. Whole frozen chickens for $5. Two for $9. Great deal. Produce looked good. Fresh fish, too. Yams were the best price I've seen in months.

It’s clean and spacious with multiple items sale here. Well, i dropped by earlier today and bought this rice noodle with beef. I was speechless that around 1/3 of dish is onion, chopped into big pieces. Maybe it was not the lunch time yet, chef just randomly cooked this dish, and wanted to get rid of leftover onion first, besides some noodles just stuck together:(((

Entering this grocery store is a bit like traveling to Asia. So different from other grocery stores with special products. Good prices. I loved it.
I recently visited Bestco grocery store and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The location provides plenty of parking spots, making it easy to find a spot close to the store for shopping. The store has a wide range of products, including produce, meat, bakery items, seafood, dairy, frozen foods, and many other varieties.
The store was clean and well-lit, with shelves, display tables, and freezers that were well-stocked and full. The sales floor associates were super active, running everywhere to ensure that everything was okay, which was very impressive.
I noticed as it appears in one of the pictures that they also prepare online orders, as seen by the lined-up shopping baskets. The checkout process was easy and fast, with no long queues.
Although I wasn't there for shopping, my curiosity led me to purchase a few items, and I was happy with the quality of the products.
Overall, I would highly recommend Bestco grocery store to anyone looking for a new shopping experience. Their variety, cleanliness, and excellent customer service make them stand out among other grocery stores.

One of the biggest Asian grocery stores that I have been to in Toronto. One could find most of the Indian and other continental vegetables and fruits in this place and all the groceries necessary for everyday cooking. I loved how fresh the veggies and fruits were. I loved specifically the baby spinach freshness, packaging and the taste❤️ Must visit place. Keep up the great customer experience!
Very nice grocery store. I think its a best in Toronto. There is a lot of asian stuff available. The best sushi its here, prices are also good! Highly recommended! I will come back 5*
A very clean and high-end asian supermarket. Always has fresh vegetables and fruit. I love the cakes too

First time to this supermarket, I was very impressed. This is located at the Bamburgh circle plaza (south of Steeles Ave on Warden). The market is big and bright. It has produce department, cooked food area, seafood counter, raw meat section, Bakery, dairy products. dry food, canned food…etc. The prices are good there. It has a big dept selling beauty items. I really enjoy shopping there.

Great place for raw vegetable and fish shopping. Also great place to find good chinese grocery items.
Thery carry a huge variety of spices, sauces, tea and a lot of other stuff. Prices are reasonable they carry produce from different countries but mostly Chinese.
Nov 29, 2022 i just went there to get groceries and I'm surprised that they still sell expired items which my kids regularly purchased. Vegetables/fruits are mix on bags with bad ones. If you decided to go here please check the expiry date before giving it to your kids!!!!

The prices are comparable to similar Indian grocery stores. For example think of Om India grocery.
They also provide lot of worship items for Hindus ( Pooja items including mundap). I saw large artificial flower garlands hanging from the ceiling. This could be used to decorate your deities.
The staff are friendly. They do not accept Amex cards, and they accept other credit cards for purchases over $10 to reduce overhead. The aisles are fully stacked with dry food in packets and they are being constantly replenished. They also have nuts such as cashews almonds and raisins in big containers similar to bug barn. They do have vegetables and Frozen items decent enough for a regular family.
The shop is neither too big nor too small. it is very conveniently located on a strip mall on Markham Road, South of Ellesmere. Parking is free. They also have a takeout vegetarian restaurant. The food quality there is good. See my reviews separately.

I used to come here all the time when we lived in the area. Everything is more or less the same as before. I just don't remember it being so big. The perishables are fairly priced. When on sale, hard to beat. There always seems to be a line for the ready to eat foods. The lines for checkout are usually long. This place doesn't accept American Express.
New Ocean Supermarket is a Asian grocery (Sri Lankan, Indian) store but more than a grocery store. I went to this place for the first time and was impressed the way things have been organized and you never bore in the store. It's the way the products are organized. The colour, freshness and variety of the products. One of the favourite corners is the butcher shop for chicken, mutton and sea food. Do you know that they can clean and cut meat or sea food for you? So no cutting and cleaning at home, just love it. This is going to be our one stop shopping place for groceries, and household items in future. Service is excellent.

Decent sized grocery store. I went for their food. 2 items with rice or noodles was $8.99. Portion size was good but the food was awful. Firstly the noodles were super salty and was not mixed properly. The chicken was somehow bitter and tasted bad. There was 3/4 pieces of beef and mostly onions. It tasted super salty and filled with soy sauce. Did not enjoy the meal at all. Very disappointed with the food quality. They just accept debit and cash.
I used to come here often but recently the produce quality has been hit or miss. The store also looks less clean and a bit run down. However, they do run very good deals here so always on a look out for promos. The adjacent food court is great. Parking can be quite a challenge at peak hours.
Large and clean Asian food oriented grocery store that is located in a large plaza with a big parking lot. The food prices are reasonable. The fruits and vegetables look fresh. The bread section is not as big, but they do have some breads made in-house. Lots of aisles to explore. Be sure to look out for sales in the back of the store and end caps.
Store has a whole lot of variety for people of different cultures. They often have fruits of all kinds, best bought when they are newly delivered. I find food that Nigerians eat even though it caters mostly to the Asian population…and for very good price. Your regular everyday needs can be found there as well. I would give the store a 5* but the staff are so cold and can’t even be courteous to their customers. This is not a one off experience as I go to Lontai at least twice a week.
Massive east Asian grocery complex. Anything you can imagine is here with a multitude of variety, from fresh meat, seafood and vegetables to rice and noodles, cooking sauces, coffee/tea to candy. This grocer may have the largest selection of hot and packaged ready to eat food so you are covered for the day. Bubble tea and competitive priced sushi available. Public bathrooms near takeout section.
Good and large grocery store with a food court. It looks like a mini mall with everything. They had lots of items. I was able to recognize few things without knowing Chinese. But few things it is not translated in English and it is hard to know what the product is. But, i liked the store. It was organized nicely and the things were good. Staff were friendly. Thank you:)
I went there to get groceries,while billing one of the billing staff hurt my finger, I told her two times that 'you hurt me' and she didn't give any response.I expected basic manners from her side. The management should give them basic training about customer service .
I visited this place...for the first time. The owner was very friendly...and helped us chose good quality products.My family loves to make Sri Lankan foods...and finding good quality ingredients is always key. He was super friendly..and made us feel welcome...price is also ...not bad.I think they get a bad rep...due to jealousy and envy...I found nothing wrong with this place...Thankyou.
This is one of the best supermarket that is clean and well-maintained and organized too. Things are available at affordable prices. Covid 19 protocol are being followed. Also, at some counters Credit cards are not allowed. Thank you:)
I visited this place recently, they have good collections of the items and the prices are what you get on the other places as well, but the positive thing about this place is it's new and seems to be quite well maintained and very clean. Also they have a snack section where they have curries as well and I did try one of their Gujarati curries(Undhiyu) which was really good and the taste was very authentic. I would definitely go to this place again and try other curries and snacks.
Nice fresh vegetables and fruit. Great halal meat counter and the fish counter is very good. Fresh goat lamb and pork and beef is available. Frozen seafood and vegetable selection is great also. They have a hot table with a huge selection of Chinese and Filipino food. In the spring, they have a nice outdoor garden Centre.
Perfect place to buy Indian grocery and Indian snacks. It was grand opening today, with fair price, with lots and lots varieties of products. I specifically like Hungers choice Namkeen they are so delicious and yummy 😋made with rice Barn oil it’s healthy and good quality, i personally recommend Hunger’s choice Namkeen.

This Chinese grocery is not the biggest one in the surrounding, but they offer a very wide selection of goods with extremely good, low price. Very convenient location for the Chinese and Asian community. Overall space is clean and tidy, only seafood department is a bit fishy and smelly.
This would be one of the go-to Asian grocery store in the neighborhood. There is a wide variety of Asian snacks and produce. You would always find the latest Asian trendy food here. On top of that, the price is very reasonable. The space is well kept and very clean.
Asian/ South Asian grocery store. Many varieties of fresh vegetables and fruits are available at competitive price. Fresh meat products with Halal and regular option, fresh fish section and Chinese/ Philippinno prepared food center is also within. They also arrange outdoor nursery during summer.
Good Chinese grocery store with variety of goods. Used to sell at very good price. But since pandemic, the price has increased a bit. Lots of people but always have good control on physical distance. Line up at entrance and most counters inside is a norm here.
Very nice for variety and vegetables. A bit on higher side when compared to the likes of No frills and Walmart. But specific Chinese and othrmer stuff is available. U can easily grocery shop. Also range of dishes and utensils available ia awesome.
We are blessed have this supermarket in our neighborhood . Especially through covid-19 .
## price gouging ## in the time of COVID-19 the owner did price gouged even though other places around the same area sales for regular price. A week later I went to the owner brought the situation to her attention “she was giving me a expansion which can not be acceptable”

i could almost get everything i want here. fruit, vegetable meat milk eggs....the market is very clean and organized. just parking sometimes it is a bit crowded prices are good too. i recommend this convenience market. The prices are good here.
ATT Supermarket formerly Elan Thulir is owned & managed by Srilankan Folks. Most of the Srilankan & Indian products are available. Place has been renovated and looks better now. Items are fresh although price range now is on higher side. 4 stars due to price range.
I stopped by their garden center and it's very large and well stocked with a large variety of plants, flower baskets and vegetables and prices are very good. You have to pay inside so sometimes not convenient. The store is quite crowded and a tad smelly.
Lately, FoodyMart isn't the same as it was before, the food court is made to take out, it's different (like the quality, n the price is more expensive), also they didn't give out the shopping bags (u need to bring our own or buy it like Food Basics, etc.) That I might understand, some people milking it (take extra than they shouldn't), but at least they should have gotten something to wrap the bottle with stuff like Besco. Besco used the stuff that wrapped fruit, they saved them to wrap everything that is glass (bottles). At least, they organize the store, n look clean.
Nice store. Best part they have an enclosed meat section, so no smell but it is definitely smelly at the entrance. I found a few things that I have been looking for a while. Prices are okay. They have a large section for everything. I picked up Indian spices which was quite cheap than other stores. Their noodles selection is limited. Snack items are varied from srilanka to India. Pots, pans and basic cutlery is available too. A few brands have good quality too. I went for two things but found more. I am satisfied with my purchase and it has few items that others don’t have so definitely will visit again.
