We loved this place so much we literally went every single day the week we were vacating, sometimes twice a day! I was obsessed with the blueberries and they always gave me extra. The acai bowl was SO fresh and delicious!!! There's tons of toppings you can add on. And the people were so friendly! Would highly recommend!

Amazingly decadent waffles with great toppings and syrups. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere feels very local and authentic. The prices are very reasonable too!

We're visiting for the week and decided to have breakfast here with our kids as a special treat. It's about a half mile walk from our hotel and it was already pretty busy when we got there around 8:45am. There was a bit of a wait for the food to be brought out, but definitely worth it. We got the peanut butter banana and the Aussie waffles. Both were amazing.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Hawaii. This place fully encompasses the Hawaiian spirit. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. I’ve dined in at multiple places around the island and I haven’t experienced such superb customer service before. The food is also delicious. The only thing I’d say this place should do is have people dining in pay after. That way, they can decide a more appropriate tip after the service. The food is simple, yet delicious. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Hawaii.

I absolutely love this place! Not only was the service phenomenal and the space was clean. I truly felt like there were amazing options on the menu in our food came out fairly quickly. We got basically an acai variable on a waffle and I will never look back. It was kind of hard to find this place but it was worth the look

The first time I enjoyed my food very much. However, when I ordered it, I pointed out that the picture of the item had avocado. I was told the avocado was an additional charge. They pointed out that there was a sign that said it was extra. To me, this is disingenuous and smacks of false advertising. The second time I ordered the same item…only to have it come with no black beans. Was I to understand that black beans are extra to? I also had a latte made with spoiled milk. While this was corrected, one would think that the spoiled milk would have been noticed. Lastly, I noticed that the employee that took my payment at the register went back to the kitchen and prepared my meal without gloves or washing her hands. I was very excited that Honolulu had a vegan option. I love the concept, and my initial food was exceptional. Hopefully they will make a greater effort in the future. For the price, I would expect better, and more consistent, quality.
Kinda hidden from the main view of Waikiki.
Nice little breakfast spot, lots of tables and high chairs for the kids.
The guy that took our order was a very nice and friendly person. Made us feel welcomed.
Order the chocolate chip waffles came with two big scoops of ice cream! Nice and fluffy it was a really big waffle for the two of us. They even gave us a kids plate for free! I’d say one plate is good enough for two people, would definitely come back again if I was in the area.

My husband and I have been going to waffles and berries over a year now and every visit is always pleasant and nice 😊 The staff is awesome! I really want to talk about this recent visit and give a huge thank you to the owner. First, he always goes above and beyond for his customers and is a really kind person.
My husband and I went in today at their new location and had a good conversation with the owner and how much we love Waffles and Berries. Im 8 months pregnant and he told me he felt like our baby will bring good luck to the business and he felt strongly about that.
When we left, I about teared up when my husband told me the owner gave us a $50 gift certificate for the baby 🥹 it was one of the sweetest moments I’ve had. I couldn’t believe it. This is why we will continue to go here and be loyal customers. If you haven’t gone to Waffles and Berries, please go! It’s such a unique and fun place to enjoy some delicious waffles and amazing açaí bowls.
Thank you again W&B! We’re truly grateful for the kind gift.
Waffle and Berry is my top pick for a delightful breakfast experience in Hawaii. This charming eatery not only boasts a fantastic location but also a consistently delicious menu. Whether it's a sunny Saturday or a lazy Sunday morning, this place never disappoints. Cal’s waffles and berry dishes are a personal favorite, offering a blend of delicious flavors that are both satisfying and healthy.

The atmosphere at Waffle and Berry adds to the overall dining experience. You can enjoy your meal in a cozy and inviting setting, making it an ideal place to start your day in Hawaii. The combination of great food and a welcoming ambiance creates the perfect spot to relax and savor your breakfast.

When in Hawaii, if you're seeking a healthy breakfast option that doesn't compromise on taste, look no further than Waffle and Berry. It's a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike, ensuring a delightful start to your weekend mornings.

Good vegan options for breakfast loving people. Quick stop for a breakfast bite, and we all decided some vegan breakfast to start the day. Service was attentive, but they seemed understaffed. I got an acai bowl with hemp hearts and a breakfast wrap. Took some time for the bowl and wrap to come out since there were only 2 people working, and we were a party of 6. Ok, the Acai bowl was stingy on the toppings. 2 strawberries about 5 blueberries, half banana, and a pinch of hemp hearts for an extra dollar, really? Good taste overall. Ok, moving on to the breakfast wrap. Contains local sautéed kale, portobello mushrooms, roasted red bell pepper, black beans, red onion, Olena scrambled tofu in a whole wheat tortilla. Overpowering amounts of kale. Mushrooms were unseen or tasted. Black beans had barely any flavoring, barely any red peppers, and no onions that I tasted. Scrambled tofu was pale in flavor. The only thing I could taste was the kale, wheat tortilla, and salsa they provide in the side. I gave it a 3rd star just because they were playing some sweet reggea music, and i they sell CBD pre-rolls, which I gladly purchased. Would maybe change rating if I were to try other things on the menu, but for now, I would advise that you try at your own discretion...

Only negative is no bathroom. Food was SO GOOD, so was the coffee/syrup. I spent all week lamenting the lack of vegetarian food around while in town for a conference. I had their food on the last day and it was amazing, I wish I had been eating there all week! Try the carrot "lox" bagel!

Amazing vegetarian place! Mainly fruit based like smoothies and fruit bowls BUT they carry other things as well! This place will surely grow. Seemed like 2 sweet mom and daughter workers. Try them!

We got two breakfast wrap, since they were very busy and said anything else would take at least 30 minutes. The wraps were sadly mostly cold kale (though likely the business was a factor). Definitely felt overpriced for what we got, but would be willing to come back to try something else when they’re not so overwhelmed. Love that there’s a vegan lunch option in this area.

stop in for a lovely smoothie, decent coffee, and tasty vittles served a little faster than island time.

I loved the macadamia pesto avocado toast.

the green energy smoothie was ginger tastic!

the oat cappuccino was a little bitter but still good.

Fantastic, healthy, feel-food spot! Many wonderful vegan foods. The lox bagel was something special. Delicious cashew cream cheese with well-marinated veggies that captured the unique lox taste in a way that only plant-based lox can. The breakfast sandwich was a nice, lighter chickpea salad was really nice and left us feeling good. And, as all the reviews suggested, we went for the Olena waffe, which was so pretty and a nice treat to share. Really nice breakfast stop after spending some time walking around Ala Moana. Would highly recommend!

Delicious vegan plant-based options. On this trip to Hawaii, Olena Café will be our go-to. Their vegan BLT is freakin amazing, and so is the hummus wrap. I’ll probably have the açaí bowl each visit too. Fresh veggies seasoned to perfection.

Their waffle??? Spectacular. I couldn’t find a dairy-free waffle ANYWHERE & came here just for that. It didn’t disappoint! I asked for it to be cooked lightly so that it wasn’t crunchy & I am impressed with how great it tasted. The coco-whip tastes exactly like coconut oil so if the isn’t your cup of tea, I’d just avoid it. Their espresso tastes fresh & while the pesto sandwich needed some salt, they did have that available to add. The shots are tasty as well. I’ll be back here before I leave town.

Amazing vegan food! We ordered a waffle, avocado toast, Chickpea sandwich, blt, and an acai bowl. It all was amazing! The avocado toast was the best I ever had. Service was very friendly as well. The only complaint is that they do not have restroom even for customers.

One of the best acai bowls. Creamiest acai, freshest fruits, and great service...they even gave my 4 year old daughter a sticker. Oh, and the papaya banana smoothie was perfectly fresh tasting too, she gulped every drop! Love this place, tiny with not much seating but great vibe!

Really cute plant based cafe & deli.
It’s one of my favorite places to get my açaí bowl from. It’s a 5-10 min walk from the beach. It tastes super delicious. The staff is friendly and prepare your bowls with lots of love. If you come early enough you’re able to get some free banana bread samples which are totally delicious.

Very cute cafe with a wide menu in the center of Wakiki. We had a big açaí bowl to share mid afternoon and was very nice. Maybe compared to others we tried maybe the mix was not as smooth but just me being too picky 😅 it was really tasty overall and very nicely presented

Amazing place for Açaí bowls, smoothies, coffee, and a few vegan treats. The vegan banana bread is worth the visit alone. We bought an extra one for a day trip the next day. Got peanut butter bowl too and it was scrumptious! Only a few blocks from Waikiki. Check it out!
Such a cute cafe in Waikiki! My first time and I had the Vegan Hawaiian Roll and the Waikiki Bliss Smoothie and it was so delicious and refreshing! The smoothie had the perfect amount of sweetness and you could taste the fresh fruit. The vegan roll was delicious and loaded with fresh veggies. Definitely a great option if you are vegan. I highly recommend and I will be back for more! ❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼

What a treasure! Nestled in the bustling streets of Waikiki, ALO was the perfect spot for a refreshing açai bowl for breakfast. Vegans, please be aware that while advertised as 100% vegan (see pics), raw honey is used a lot. You can ask to substitute for agave. The banana bread was super moist and the local/handmade items for sale in the storefront made for wonderful souvenirs. I wish I found this place sooner — I visited 2 days in a row!
