Attended this theatre to see Mrs Doubtfire. Great view of the stage, no matter what level. The legroom is limited, but the seating is comfortable. Great sound. Found a nice bar below street level! Fantastic show that will have you laughing throughout.

A medium sized theatre with four levels/tiers of seating. I was in the front row of the Royal/Dress Circle - excellent view, though there is not a huge amount of legroom, and I'm not even that tall, and it is further back than this sort of level is in other theatres. Seats are mostly comfy, but definitely stand up during the interval to stretch legs for a bit. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to returning to see Hadestown when that opens soon!

Went to watch Tina Turner the musical. Was about 3 hrs with interval.

One of the best musicals I've seen

The theatre was good. Ushers were pleasant but the seating space was very cramped.

Aldwych theatre when arriving at foyer you experience the old world charm of beautiful architecture and decor also the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The performance of the Tina show was absolutely amazing the acting throughout Tina turners life story holds your attention from her early childhood to her ultimate success . Simply the best and I have no hesitation in recommending.
Wonderful experience at the Relaxed performance of Mrs Doubtfire the Musical. Great view of the performance from stalls row K. Lots of helpful and friendly ushers on hand to assist the special needs audience. Chill out areas set up for anyone needing a break. The performance itself was fantastic.

Watched Peter Pan Goes Wrong, it was a great time all round. We were sat in the balcony which still had a great view (despite being the cheap seats). Though very steep and difficult to get past people sat in a row. Be careful with your phones when showing your tickets for entry. A number of people had their phones turn off suddenly and refuse to turn on for a time. The box office workers were helpful in finding our tickets given our phones (and the phones of fellow audience members around us) were not working. A great experience! Fun atmosphere!

This is a lovely intimate theater with quick security screening of bags at door opening. The interior is beautifully furnished. We chose a matinee and sat in the stalls. The Tina musical was terrific. The cast phenomenal. The show ended with rousing audience participation. Highly recommend this theater and show.
A great theatre, we watched Mrs doubtfire. Toilets felt modern compared to some theatres, queues weren't too bad. We were sitting on the front row of the golden circle (highest floor) and the seats had been listed as restricted - but it really wasn't too bad. As adults we could see over the bar and the kids leaned forward looking under it. The legroom wasn't as limited as we expected (I'm 6'1) but I recommend getting an aisle seat so you can pop your bags / coats to the side if you sit there.
This show is really amazing ,all actresses were doing their characters in a wonderful ❤️ way. Yes, the same film for Robert Williams, but on the theater is completely different 👌 😀.
I really recommend this show to everyone who wants fun, joy, and laughter. Thanks a lot to all who worked there and let us enjoy this 😊 😀 ☺️.
This is a well located Soho theatre that puts on some decent shows. The ticket prices are, as you might expect, quite astounding which is why we ended up in the Grand Circle for Dear England.

That said the view from way up high wasn't terrible but you're not close enough to read the actor's expressions. So definitely don't forget your glasses.
An adorable little theatre steeped in history. Made the show “unbelievable” more intimate for the audience. Can’t really sit anywhere and not get a good view!
Went to see Mrs Doubtfire. Staff were helpful and polite and the show was enjoyable. The build itself was lovely, well maintained and the historical designs had been maintained.

There were separate bars and toilets for each layer of seating and the atmosphere / environment was comfortable. Limited leg room for the taller person but this wasn’t too much of a problem. We would go back to another production at this theatre.
Very nice typical old London theatre viewing spread over 3 floors so choose seat carefully. I was in the stalls and the view was excellent. I'm 6'3" and my knees weren't touching the seat in front of so plenty of leg room. I saw Dream England the play about Gareth Southgate's early years as England manager.
Went to see "Dear England" there. The theatre was clean, well organized, and the staff were polite and helpful. Absolutely loved my experience

Went to see Tina Turner musical, an absolutely amazing show, and it is a must-see musical.
I enjoyed every bit of it. It was like watching Tina Turner herself performing, all the singers were brilliant.
I even had a few tears of enjoyments, and at the end of the show, I was thinking of going back to see it again 😄
Thank you

An excellent performance of Peter Pan Goes Wrong. Lovely theatre of an intimate size. Happy smiling faces from everyone from the ticket checkers to the bar staff. I was even thanked for coming on the way out. Great job guys. Well worth the visit.

Came here on mid week theatre break. A fantastic show of the life of Tina Turner which doesn't pull any punches with regard to the physical and emotional abuse she suffered.
The theatre itself is a historic building. Unfortunately we found very little leg room in the Grand Circle seats of the Aldwych Theatre. A great leading lady and a fantastic finale with a live band.

Went to see Darren Brown's Unbelievable a few weeks' ago. This is a gem of a theatre and until I got there, I didn't know it was underground. The decorative art deco staircase leading to the theatre is beautiful.
The theatre itself is well designed and moderate in size, meaning not excessively big.
The location is fantastic as it is next to Piccadilly Circus tube station.
It so happens that a branch of Masala Zone, one of our favourite restaurants has opened next door so we were able to go there too.
Agreat day out.

A medium sized theatre along Shaftsbury Avenue and showing Peter Pan that goes Wrong when I visited. The theatre was clean and tidy and well laid out. The queue for the bar was long, but if you go downstairs, there is another bar which is less busy. Toilets, albeit small, we're adequate and clean. I was seated in the stalls, which are perfectly fine, but you could be unlucky and have a tall person sat in front of you that would spoil your view. Sit near the front if you can afford it. I didn't like the fact that at the end of the show they asked the audience to donate to charity, I had just spent £80 to see the show, use some of my £80 to give to charity if you want to, don't ask me for more!

What a gorgeous theatre! My only issue is with the tiny seats and shared arm rests. Tighter than an airline seat. Ugh. Aside from being uncomfortable for the entire 2-hour show, the theatre itself was lovely. I was in row A of the first balcony, dress circle. Great view.
Lovely theatre. Great show.

Over the years I've seen the film enough to know the story very well. There was a part of me that wondered, after Robin Williams iconic performance, if this stage version could really do it justice. Absolutely loved it. I've seen quite a few musicals over recent years. This is right up there. Well worth the visit.

Went to watch Dear England.
The theatre was clean. Toilets looked new and recently refurbished.
Seats were quite comfortable in the Grand circle.
The queue to get in was not long. The ushers were polite and the doormen were not rude.
Would recommend. Better than other theatres in London which are dated.

A wonderful venue to enjoy high quality theatre productions such as Mrs. Doubtfire. Beautiful building, very clean, comfortable seats, fine sound and lighting. But most important, an extremely entertaining play, very well staged, with a marvelous cast and great performances and lovely story. Highly recommended experience!
I watched the show Unbelievable and it was a very interesting night. The theater by itself is a nice place with confortables chairs, good bathrooms and in general a nice environment.
As the show, unfortunately, I left the theater a little disappointed. There are very nice sets in the show that really surprised me, but nothing is really mind-blowing. If you are lucky to be called on stage, your experience probably will be a lot more positive.
It's definitely a good option if you are nearby on Leicester Square, but in my opinion not a must-watch.
I think by now, this was one of the few West End theaters I haven’t been to. I really loved it, the building is classic, like many other theaters in the area, with small but comfortable seats and good view/acoustics. The bar allows to pre-order ahead of the interval and the menu of drinks is good (except their Negroni which tastes like medicine). The plays at this theater are always heavyweight. I saw “Dear England” and it was just great.
I recently had the enchanting opportunity to attend a Musical and Magical Performance, in this beautiful theatre, and I can't express how spellbinding it was. The fusion of live music and mesmerizing magic left me utterly captivated from start to finish.

The musical talent on display was awe-inspiring. The musicians played their instruments with such precision and passion that every note seemed to dance through the air. The range of musical styles, from classical compositions to modern pop hits, showcased their versatility and skill. The synergy between the performers and the live orchestra created a harmonious experience that resonated deep within my soul.

What truly set this performance apart was the infusion of magic throughout the show. The magician seamlessly intertwined illusions and sleight of hand with the music, creating a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere. I found myself on the edge of my seat, trying to unravel the mysteries presented before me, only to be left in wonder and amazement.

The stage design was a masterpiece in itself, transforming from one enchanting scene to another with seamless transitions. The lighting and visual effects enhanced the magic, taking us on a journey through a mystical world.

The performers themselves were not only immensely talented but also radiated charisma and charm. Their interactions with the audience added an intimate and personal touch to the show, making us feel like we were part of this enchanting experience.

Overall, this Musical and Magical Performance was a breathtaking, one-of-a-kind spectacle that left me in awe. It was a night filled with wonder, beauty, and pure, unadulterated magic. I would highly recommend this show to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable entertainment experience. It's a performance that will linger in your memory long after the final notes have faded into the night.

A great theatre with such amazing set and a fantastic show!
I would recommend trying to get stall seats towards the front if you are going to see Back to the Future the musical. It feels like you’re in the show, but it may be quite loud at times. The legroom was very spacious and the seats were quite comfortable.
Went to see ‘Dear England’. Really good play. Had a seat in the dress circle. Nice to sit on the bar balcony before the performance. Great view of the stage. Nice staff and a Hagen Daz ice cream at the interval.
Went to see Dear England at the Prince Edward! Lots of facilities, great seats, visit the bar if you can - they have lovely views of the surrounding area. Team was super helpful and the queue (which looked long at first) moved quickly. A fun day overall.

We had the most amazing time watching Back to the future the musical at the Adelphi Theatre. We loved the whole decoration and set up of the whole theatre. The show was out of this world the acting and singing was fantastic but the actual screen work, pyrotechnics and sets were outstanding. Definitely reccommend we took our 5 and 9 year old and they loved every minute 😍

Tina is a Fantastic show at The Aldwych. Wonderful cast and great to honour the legendary Queen of Rock and Roll: Tina Turner. Would highly recommend seeing it.

Quick to get into the theatre with access at the front and side. Security friendly and staff inside helpful.

The theatre needs more toilets! Good bar downstairs with a good selection but a bit pricey.

Having watched Back To The Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre on October 5th, 2023, I must say it was an excellent production that skillfully brought back waves of nostalgic memories. The cast delivered outstanding performances, and the story closely followed the beloved film, incorporating all the pivotal scenes. While I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, I left the theater thoroughly impressed and far from disappointed.

Impressions of the Venue:

Pros:
- The venue's aesthetics were pleasing, especially the stained glass above the bar.
- The Derren Brown show, while enjoyable, had moments of cheesiness.
- Convenient parking with free Sunday access.

Cons:
- The seating was functional but uncomfortable due to tight spacing.
- The bar's limited beer selection, primarily offering tiny cans, left something to be desired. Having at least one draft beer option would be an improvement.

Nice theatre. Very well organised in terms of different entrances for different floors. Smaller than others.. more cozy.
Didn't give 5* because I thought the sound speakers could have been placed around the theatre to give a 3D effect, nevertheless the show and the singers were over the top.
First time for us visiting the Adelphi when we came to London for a short break, and we went to see the amazing back to the future. The venue in its current form dates back to the 1930s with an art deco style. The outside exterior isn't overly elaborate or huge, but it has a lovely entrance to the lobby. The theatre hall is compact/small in regards to space and seating, if you are tall or well built you could find the seats a little restricted in leg and arm room, however this is to be expected for the age of the building. Which adds to the experience rather than takes away for it with a seating capacity of around 1400. We sat in the middle of the dress circle and had a good view of the stage with very few issues of visibility during the course of the musical. The staff were all friendly and helpful with bars for refreshments available before and during the interval. The upper toilets were small, but again, this was probably due to available space within the structure. As for the musical itself, BTTF, it was amazing! The stage was decorated brilliantly to get you into the feel of being immersed into the story straight away. The music pit added to the amazing sound during the show and the stage set production was first class. With a front screen coming down at times to create some breathing taking effects as the delorian moved gracefully around the stage to produce jaw dropping moments that had us all on our feet at the end to give the cast a well deserved standing ovation. Couldn't recommend enough, catch it while you can.

I went to see Back to the Future The Musical. An absolutely amazing show for people of all ages. Brilliant version of the original 80s classic movie. The film that you want to see very well recreated, plus some new and funny additions plus loads of music and dance to boot. Cast and musicians were fantastic and stage production and effects are amazing. Well worth going and great value for money.
An absolutely amazing show. We love the film and this show was know let down. The cast was brilliant the music was faultless the comedy was there in abundance. The crowd and atmosphere were just amazing. Won't lie I find it difficult to sit still for so long. However!! This was worth it Mrs. Boughtfire Amazing 👏👏👏👏 House full standing ovation ❤️👍

Gorgeous theatre and a simply amazing show with outstanding performances. Not much leg room, though, in the seats - we were all fidgeting with our legs and feet trying to get comfortable.

The true story of The Temptations' rise to fame was fascinating, and we would definitely recommend this brilliant show, if you find yourselves in our capital city.

Went to see BTTF the musical on 21/Aug/2023.
First of all I was seriously impressed with the cleanliness of the theatre and the staff were friendly. Next was the leg room and comfort of the seats. I'm 6ft 5 and was worried about the legroom, but sitting in the stalls, row G, seat 34, I couldn't have picked a better seat. The view was fantastic, just couldn't see the full of the left hand side of the stage but could see everything else which, it seemed like all the action was happening from anyway.
The set pieces were incredible and seriously detailed. But, where it really gets the 5* is the performance from the cast. Unreal show, great humour and amazing sound of the band and vocals of cast. For a person who doesn't really do musicals but is a big back to the future fan, this was an amazing day out for me.

Wow - honestly one of the best things I’ve ever seen. A masterpiece and something that will live long in the memory. If you are a fan of the movie you have to see this show. The actors, the music, the lighting, the amazing special effects and the superb finale (you will need to see it to believe it) made this a truly spectacular event. It was true to the original movie but had some excellent comedic moments to make the time go so quickly. This was the first musical I’ve ever seen and I couldn’t have picked a better one.

As for the theatre itself, it’s big enough that it can accommodate a lot of people but at times it can feel distant especially from the dress circle. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The seats were comfortable but the legroom could be better. Seriously - you should not miss out on this show.

Wonderful staff here to direct you to your seats. They are professional and pleasant and appropriately engaging. They are highly trained and it shows as there is nothing at all to complain about.
The seats are as you would expect from an older west end theatre where there is just not enough space for your feet/legs as it is a really tight squeeze if you are 5ft 10inches and mostly legs not body! I tend not to book any shows that are absurdly long in duration as it becomes less comfortable (even in the more expensive seats).

The refreshments at the break are reasonable and priced similarly to all west end theatres. So you choose to eat before or after, or of course buy something as a treat. (Prosecco is nice and the ice creams are great).

The musical attended this last time was "Aspects of Love" The character Alex was fantastic his voice and acting was great. I didn't see Michael Ball as I attended on Monday however his replacement was also quite brilliant.

Two other "stars" were "Jenny" who seem to shine amazingly, and surely must be a star in the making, sje would come.across so.well both on stage and film, a super performance.

The other supporting actress who really came alive was the one who played Alex's love interest, at the end. It was all super.

Glad i went and will return!

Visited the lyric for the first time, wonderful theatre, beautifully ornate with such grand features of a classic era of stage!

The bars are reasonably priced and weren’t too busy which was nice & they offered an area to cool down during the interval.

Watched Aspects of Love and what a tremendous performance the cast were outstanding, the voices sublime.

A truly amazing evening.

Great time seeing back to the future musical 🎭. The stage effects and all the cast were phenomenal 👏. Managed to get rush tickets using todaytix app, and the view was decent for being in the stalls and having ample leg room. The air conditioning bothered me a little, but I guess it's better than being too warm.
We came as a group to see ‘Bleak Expectations’.
An excellent production, exactly what I’d hoped it would be. Superb melodramatic acting and many really funny scenes.
The theatre. Very curious about this theatre as it’s all underground. Lots of curved steps. Plenty of ladies toilets but they are over the circle and you have to cross back to get to the upper circle again.
Quirky and interesting theatre with great sight lines.
Highly recommend #bleakexpectations. #criterion
A beautiful theatre, right next to Piccadilly station. I was in the stalls, so you can sometimes hear the sound of the tube, whenever they are going or coming from the station. But you can still enjoy the show, and you will not be distracted. I will definitely come back again.

Came to see Bleak Expectations, which was excellent. Very funny and brilliantly acted. Theatre is close to Eros, Picadilly. Easy to get to but lots of stairs inside. Beautifully decorated although some of the tiling is reminiscent on a public toilet. Reasonable leg room in the seats and good acoustics.
